Tortantula, long considered the most vicious and tenacious of the mercenary races of the Galactic Union, are also one of the most enigmatic.
Little is known about their origin or how they ended up as slaves to the power-hungry Veetanho eons ago, but when a young Tortantula was born with abilities not seen in thousands of generations, everything changed.
Having escaped servitude to the Veetanho, Oort is on a quest to learn more about her race’s history. Hints of the Tortantula home world are buried within the GalNet, and she’s been following them for years. Now, she’s finally found a hidden cache of information.
But Veetanho aren’t known for letting go, and they’ve found her once more. A drama of redemption, revenge, and destiny is about to play out as the tangled webs of the Tortantula finally begin to reveal deep truths… and shocking lies.
I'll admit I've been a fan of Mark Wandered to o of years. He is a master storyteller with an exceptionally vivid imagination. This novel is great. Giant spiders, assassins, and a complex plot s are some of the highlight. Wandrey spins a complex, exciting tale that answers some of the questions us fans of the Four Horseman Universe have had. He does an outstanding job revealing mysteries, and keeping the reader enthralled.
Excellent work by an amazing author. You will enjoy this one immensely.
There's always something special when the OG authors in this series, write another instalment.
This one starts off a tad ploddingly. As usual, the rat bastards are front and centre. Nothing good ever comes from them.
It's a tale of finding yourself, your path and seeking the truth. We have three separate groups that ultimately find themselves at a crucible point. Plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of lore and history are revealed here. Much more than usual. It's amazingly done.
The Torantula as makers of peace is such a brilliant idea. I won’t give spoilers, but the way this tied up so many threads to complete the web (sorry could not help it) of this story was just about perfect. The four horsemen universe rules and all the writers in it are great
I really liked this book and am in particular love with these particular species. Please write more about them. The only flaw was that the ending was left hanging.
