Way back in 1855 many people in Devon woke up to find a mysterious set of footprints in the snow. They were found across the county and looked like they were made by a two legged person with hooves instead of feet. Now, 170 years later, there is still no explanation as to who or what made them.
I've been intrigued by this mystery for most of my life and I live in Devon, only a few miles away from Topsham where the footprints were first discovered.
I first read about The Devil's Footprints in a collection of mysteries when I was a child. I think the book was published by Puffin. I wish I still had a copy. If only I could remember what it was called!

Audiobook: I enjoyed this short piece regarding a mysterious event which I had never heard of, before listening to this audiobook. I was amused by the idea that a town has created a type of festival in memory of this event. I liked all the wild and creative ideas which have tried to explain this unusual occurrence, but none of the theories proposed have ever been proven as truth. I thought the digital voice Archie G was easy to follow and to understand. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

The Devil's Footprints (GKP Mysteries Book 5), my twenty-second read from author Grant Kelly. An enjoyable 27-page short read. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with The Voynich Manuscript high on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

What an interesting mystery! I had not heard of this event before, so this was all new information to me. I like how Kelly finds these fascinating occurrences and presents them in a clear, concise book/audiobook. It’s a fast and entertaining story that mystery readers will enjoy.

*I received an ARC of this audiobook. All opinions expressed in this review are solely my own.
