4.5 stars! This is the first book by Marilyn Barr and it was a good book. It was super enjoyable to read about a female Krampus. It’s a different take and I loved it. I also enjoyed how Gerhard is older and it is a second time around love for him. There were lots of spicy scenes and great world building. There were also twists and turns I didn’t see happening which was also nice. But the kind of formal language they sometimes used with each other threw it off for me-so it’s an official 4.5 for me. I am looking forward to continuing reading Marilyn and hoping for more stories. I did receive an ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest opinion.
Ms. Krampus is ADORABLE. She's the perfect blend of strong and sweet, looking for someone who can dish out what she's longing to take. This would have been a lovely naughty Christmas /Krampusnacht cupcake, but then Marilyn Barr went crazy and crated this insane (and I mean this in the best possible way) world that's like a parallel universe where Elf and Die Hard got drunk and wrote a movie together. To say that I was drooling and cackling in turns is no understatement. One of her best pieces so far for sheer entertainment and unputdownability. (Is that a word? It should be a word.)
This was a fun and unique holiday romance where we get the 'monster' as a gal. Liselotte is a Krampus and I loved this! I also loved the idea of many Krampuses and each having a territory to oversee. Her romance with human single dad, Gerhard, felt real as it progressed at a perfect pace. I was rooting hard for their HEA as the author took me on a rollercoaster of a reading ride. Expect to get caught up with these wonderful, but mature, characters and the soft kink they get up to in this engaging read. So fun and a page turner for me :D
Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and the spicy scenes with Liselotte who’s a female Krampus she goes and spanks the naughty kids and Gerhard a human who gets a visit from Liselotte every year she has feelings for him and she hopes that tonight will be different. There is so much more going on in this fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend reading this book.
Lisolette is a Krampus - every year, she would visit Gerhard’s naughty son to punish him, but it’s Gerhard’s company she craves. One Christmas, she requests that Gerhard come back with her… and everything changes. I loved the allusions to Die Hard in this story (the ultimate Christmas movie!) and the scenes between Gerhard and Lisolette were both naughty and nice! A great festive read.
I don't usually like stories where the FMC is a monster, but I really really enjoyed this book. Frankly the entire series, even across multiple authors, is fantastic and I cannot recommend it enough.
This story is refreshing in that the characters are older and for Gerhard this a second love (not second chance), of course it's spicy with plenty of sweetness.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked that Liselotte knew what she wanted in Gerhard. It was a fun and spicy read. I liked Liselotte and Gerhard as a couple.
Part of the Monster Brides Romance, an entertain, drama filled story that held my interest throughout. I know I will read Gerhard and Liselotte Ms Krampus' story again. If you like this Authors stories do not miss this one.
