Small town, darkest magic. One relentless fairy stalker. And a witch who’s out of time.
Supernatural danger? Nilla Hayes has been there, done that, and probably spilled coffee on the T-shirt. But when her fairy stalker Asbelia—almost goddess, total menace, and all trouble—materialises uninvited, Nilla knows things are about to get messy. Now it’s a race against time to track down catastrophic magic that’s far too close to home, threatening her friends, her town, and her chosen family.
With her not cat familiar F.C., a few fiercely loyal werewolves, and her girlfriend Sofia, Nilla must navigate deadly forces while trying to stick to the rules of Asbelia's cryptic game. Winning with her hands tied behind her back is going to take more than magic.
Suspenseful, magical, and full of heart, FLICKER is a sapphic urban fantasy supernatural suspense packed with dark humour, danger, and a whole lot of trouble.

I love how in “Flicker” by Jaime Munn we get to meet Nilla Hayes a powerful witch with a sweet tooth and her not cat familiar F.C. and her werewolve girlfriend Sofia carrying on with life trying to make her magical shop a success. But once her fairy stalker Asbelia who is almost goddess and is 100% a total menace who is full of trouble, Nilla knows things are about to get very messy. With a a race against time to track down catastrophic magic that’s far too close to home, threatening her life as she knows it can Nilla and those she has chosen to help her stop it in time? Or will trying to stick to the rules of Asbelia's cryptic game while trying to navigate deadly forces with her hands tied behind her back be too much? If you want to know what happens I guess that you will have to read “Flicker” to find out what happens. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A great read for anyone who loves witches, werewolves and women! A holy trifecta in my mind.
I really enjoyed Nilla 'self talk'. Her thoughts can sometimes full of self-doubt, but it humanises her, making her charterer more rounded and three dimensional.
Nilla doesn't save the day alone, she has her familiar Frankie Cat who is 'something' special. Throw into the mix a pack of werewolves and a creature from beyond the veil and you have a good story.
