Really enjoyed this, comparatively little is known of the man behind the work due to his obsession with being obscure and private but what is gleaned from his life he sounds a very interesting man. His work is remarkable in many ways and the variety of themes, issues and situations tackled within his novels / short stories are quite wide and varied. Some aspects of his writing mirror his own life and personality which leads to the truism of "an author writes about what he knows." Definitely worth reading even if you are not associated with his work as i have only lightly touched on his writing i still found this informative and if you have read his work it gives you an insight into the man behind the books, if you haven't come across this author before the way this is written by Lundquist makes you feel as if you would WANT to read him. Subsequently i have hit Ebay and Amazon since reading this to collect some of them!
