I didn't particularly enjoy this book, which is a shame.

There were too many info dumps and quite a lot of it felt like filler.

The plot didn't seem to have much of a point or a clear direction, so the pacing was very slow.

An Entertaining Sequel to The Mountains of Madness

The Doomsday Thaw is a very short sequel to the Mountains of Madness where global warming is now melting Antarctica exposing ancient structures and animals and creatures long thought dead.

The specimens are shipped back to Arkham to be kept frozen, but what happens if the electricity goes off?

Here's a darkly fun story by Mark McLaughlin. I loved this story, especially the twist at the end. A horrific cautionary tale about the consequences of ignoring our planetary stewardship responsibilities. Highly recommended!
