Jemma & Vince. An arranged marriage between a mob princess and Vince’s brother brings those 2 together in this instalove story. It’s the instant connection when they had hardly seen each other that isn’t my cup of tea.
Just like in the previous book of the series I was a bit confused with the chars and their relationships and what had happened in the past.
By no means is it a bad book but there are things I don’t like. We spend too much time reading about their thoughts instead of seeing them interact. Also, there are many repetitions of the same thoughts.
At some points it felt a bit dragging, there wasn’t much happening for many pages.
In the beginning I liked Jemma. She is this feisty young lady but she practically didn’t put up a fight with him when he moved along with something she absolutely didn’t agree with. And that’s when I lost any respect I had for her.
They didn’t talk about serious incidents, like those at the very early days of their meeting. He keeps saying they should and that he reacted poorly but he doesn’t do something about it. He should grovel so hard and she should be mad but no 😕 Apart from that, Vince was cool.
The story continues in part 2 Dangerous Devotion.

SINISTER INTENTIONS is the third instalment in Kat Bammer’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS ROGUES dark, erotic, Mafia romance series, and the first instalment in the Dangerous Intentions Duet. This is heir to the Salvini Mafia, thirty-two year old, Vincenzo ‘Vince’ Salvini, and twenty-one year old, Irish Mob princess Jemma Donnelly’s story line. Jemma was first introduced in book two TAINTED DESIRE. SINISTER INTENTIONS can be read as a stand alone with out any difficulty. Quick Note: I did receive this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest feedback and review. (But I would have purchased this book on my own because I really love the series.)
We first meet Vince Salvini in Book 1 of the Ruthless Rogues Series (Gabe and Sophie's story), he and his brother appear in Book 2 of the series, and Book 3 (and 4) are finally Vince's turn - and HOLY MOLY is it ever his turn. While each book is a standalone, they are best read in order as each novel adds more context to the story and opens the door to more questions. Curious yet?
Book 3 begins roughly where Book 2 ends with Matt recovering from his injuries, Jemma 'engaged', and a struggling Vince who grapples with his feelings.
As we really begin to dive in, we see that perceptions are sometimes wrong, passions burn deep, and there is more than meets the eye. We discover the Vince is artistic, passionate, and a big animal lover. Jemma is more than a hacker, she is struggling through trauma, smarter and more clever than we all think, and maybe more than a little crushing on Vince. Through Book 3 we see more of Vince's family (blood and chosen) and through his interactions with them, we see a more human side of him, no longer is he static and unchanging, but rather he is dynamic and engaged - he has heart.
Jemma is feisty and looking to make an impact and leave her current life behind. She continues to struggle with trauma we learn about in Book 1 though she has worked hard to get to where she is today and taken steps to take her life back. She wants to hate Vince and the choice he has forced on her (ie arranged marriage) and gets herself into some interesting situations trying to get out of the arranged marriage.
We see character progression and overall growth of both characters through Sinister Intentions and this continues into Dangerous Devotion. We get more of Alex and Fee (and let's be honest Fee's sass), lots of delicious moments with Vince and Jemma (hello library scene - iykyk) and so so so much more.
Definite 10/10 read that has great spice, great pacing, continues to world build and expand on characters we met in Book 1 and I can't wait to read more! Sinister Intentions does end on a cliff hanger, but fear not the sequel (Dangerous Devotions) will be released the next day so there is no lengthy delay in getting a resolution!

This was an ARC copy for review, but honestly would have read it anyway because I enjoyed the first two books in this series.
This is book 3 of the Ruthless Rogues Mafia series, and I have to say it is my favorite of the series so far. This one follows Jemma and Vince in their story, but both were very much a part of the first 2 books.
After the kidnapping in Italy, Jemma Donnelly found herself floundering. She kept to herself, changed her appearance, and started hacking as part of an underground secret group. This activity is what brought Vince Salvini into her life. Growing up as the daughter of the head of the Irish mob, she was no stranger to life on the other side of the law, but Vince was unlike anything she knew up to that point. Their relationship started with a bang, two forces colliding with a force of an atom bomb. Both stubborn and dead set on getting their way, no matter the cost.
Jemma is promised to Vince's younger brother in a deal with her father and she is not having it. She lets him know this will not stand no matter what he says or does. Vince of course tries his usual intimidation tactics and even resorts to holding her hostage to make her comply. All to remain at the same impasse. He did not count on the grit and determination of the fiery Irish woman.
Of course, with great anger comes great passion and passion is what ignites between the two as hard as they try to deny the attraction between them. Spicy does not even cover how much heat comes off the pages between these two.
I love how headstrong and willful Jemma is. She does not take any of the things thrown her way lying down. Vince has a softer side buried beneath the fire and rage, and he shows this at just the right times. There is so much that goes on in this book and I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for what was coming next. It was exciting and could not turn the pages fast enough. I felt so invested in these characters.
The story flows so well I found myself finishing it way too quickly but happy I could move right on to the next book to see where their story goes. Would definitely recommend.

The downside - it's a duet. I really wish writers would stop with this ploy. This author doesn't need to start. Her books run the arc smoothly and the flow of the story and the romance are equal. This one shows why not to employ this technique. It slows down the arc and distracts from the flow. The reader can tell what was added in order to extend the story and it's unnecessary. The beginning drug on mercilessly until the part where they hit the bar & I honestly felt like giving up many times.
The good part, once you get to the bar scene the story flows fast and furious. Jemma is supposed to marry Matt. Neither are willing to do so and Jemma and Vince (Matt's older brother) constantly snark at each other. The reader can tell those two are truly the couple and the author keeps dragging it out unnecessarily. The other part that's drugged out is Jemma's hacking and her coconspirator. Had the author shorten these bits the story would have flowed much better and been a very concise arc. By the time you got to the "family dinner", the reader was over it all. Thankfully that's when the actual story started. Jemma and Vince caught fire. The other family members started to be fleshed out, so the reader understood who they were and wanted more. The two questionable characters were sufficiently in the bad category that you wanted one to meet their end really soon and one to have all his secrets exposed - he'd been drug out so long it was beyond time.
The eh - the ending. Yes, it was a cliffhanger, but the author thankfully didn't use the "heroine ran away/kidnapped" storyline. Be sure to have the second book ready to go. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have been patiently waiting on Vince and Jemma's story since the library scene in Alex and Fee's book. Downside this book ends on a cliff-hanger, upside I already have the next book loaded and ready to go.
As we know from the last book when poor Matteo was in the hospital. His brother Vince had the bright idea that he should marry Jemma Donnelly. Matteo is dead against it and in all fairness so is Jemma.
Anyway this book pretty much starts were the last one ended with Matt and Vince in Boston meeting with Jemma's father. This time we get the library scene from Jemma and Vince's POV rather than Fee or Alex (can't remember which from before).
Jemma is a hacker and has been stealing with a group of other people from Vince's family but in all fairness she isn't keeping it for herself she is giving it away to charity.
Vince is aware or suspect Jemma's cyber activities and that is why he is pushing for her to marry his brother. He thinks that he can control her this way.
The only thing is the more time he spends with Jemma, the more he realizes he wants to keep her for himself. She's still dead set on their not being a wedding even if she is falling for Vince.
I really want to learn more about Matt and why he is so against marriage I have a feeling it was mentioned that he was against it but I don't remember it telling us why.
I really loved Vince's playfulness with his friend Dom so I really hope we get a little more of them together in the next installment.

I absolutely loved being back in the world of the “Ruthless Rogues”! This book follows the relationship between Vince and Jemma and I would recommend reading the previous books in this world first, especially “Tainted Desire”, as this would provide some background information to events that are mentioned and characters that form part of this story. It would be so easy to see Vince as a cold, calculating Mafia type but he is so much more, pulled between a sense of duty and personal feelings. I developed a real soft spot for him and it was nice to see him let his guard down on occasions and display a more relaxed and playful side of his character. Jemma is one of the few people in Vince’s life who will stand up to him. I can just see her glaring at him, hand on hip and tapping her foot at his outrageous behaviour and comments. The push and pull between these two characters is a constant theme running through the book and I couldn’t help laughing at some of the dialogue between the two. There are some unexpected twists along the way and an ending that completely took me by surprise. I’m just glad that I could move straight on and continue with “Dangerous Devotion”.

In Sinister Intentions, Vince who we previously met in Sinful Honor, is a cruel, ruthless mafia boss. He doesn’t take it easy on people, and he only protects those he cares for. Jemma is the feisty daughter of a mafia don herself. She doesn’t let anyone push her around. When her father tells her that Vince has arranged a marriage for her to his younger brother, she does everything she can to stop it.
Vince is dealing with a major crisis and he suspects Jemma is to blame. What better way to keep her close but feisty Jemma refuses to be tied down and does everything she can to get away. From the minute they meet, it’s hate at first sight or is it lust? The attraction is so obvious, everyone notices except them.
Sinister Intentions was filled with twist and turns, shocks and surprises, and more heat than you can handle. By the end, we are wondering who is the threat all the way to that explosive cliffhanger. Kat Bammer had me on the edge of my seat. Who is messing with Vince? Will Jemma get away? What happened at the end of the book? I can’t wait to find all the answers in the next book.

Wow this was absolutely amazing. I really loved Jemma and Vince. Their banter and fiesty push pull of the relationship and her bratty ways had me laughing a few times. Pure entertainment!
This was about Mafia princess Jemma who is promised to the Italian Mafia Prince Matteo but it's his brother Vince who wants her more.
So well done, I couldn't put it down. Reading fast enough was an impossibility and this really was a pleasure. Knowing there is a second book made it even better.
Jemma and Vince were like chalk and cheese. So much friction and Jemma was not giving in easily to Vince's bossy ways. But both were on a learning curve and that was so fun to read about.
Also talk about cliff hangers. This author knows how to keep the reader involved and wanting more.
Such a brilliant book and now on to the next! Amazing!!.

This was about Mafia princess Jemma who is promised to the Italian Mafia Prince Matteo but it's his brother Vince who wants her more.
So well done, I couldn't put it down. Reading fast enough was an impossibility and this really was a pleasure. Knowing there is a second book made it even better.
Jemma and Vince were like chalk and cheese. So much friction and Jemma was not giving in easily to Vince's bossy ways. But both were on a learning curve and that was so fun to read about.
Also talk about cliff hangers. This author knows how to keep the reader involved and wanting more.
Such a brilliant book and now on to the next! Amazing!!.

An arranged marriage between Jemma and Matt who both do not want a marriage. Vince, Matt's brother insists on this arrangement in order to keep Jemma in sight due to some uncovering he has done. Only to realize Jemma gets under his skin like no one has ever. Both have an effect on each other that they weren't expecting. We'll the succumb to their feelings or will the plan for the arranged marriage move forward?
I wish there was a prologue that recapped everything we need to know prior to beginning this new couples story because even tho I read the second book I was still confused at times.
The first 130 pages dragged. I won't lie and say it was a breeze to get through because there were times I was tired of reading the very same thing I read over and over again. But finally after that it was smooth sailing.

This is book 1 of the Dangerous Intentions duet both books can be read as a standalone duet or as a part of the Ruthless Rogues Mafia series by Kat Bammer. I will absolutely be going back and reading the rest of the Ruthless Rogues!

This is a 4/5 star read for me and a 2/5 on the spicy scale. There were some things that felt repetitive to me and some conversations the FMC and MMC never finished that I felt like were important to have to resolve some issues. I also felt like there was some context missing but I know that those gaps are because I haven’t read the rest of the Ruthless Rogues yet. It also ends on one heck of a cliff hanger!

Sinister Intentions is book one of the Dangerous Intentions Duet, and a continuation of Ruthless Rogues Mafia Series. I think it helps to have read the first two books of the series to get a background on the characters and their places in the world that they belong to.
Vince is obsessed with Jemma and his way of handling it is to make a deal with her father and to marry her off to his brother, who is willing to go along with it, despite it not feeling right. Jemma has no intention of being part of a deal between families or becoming a mafia bride.
Though this book is well written, I did not connect with the characters or particularly like either of them. Something about their actions and interactions with one another and with other side characters felt awkward and immature, like over dramatic in a way. This book just did not do it for me but another reader may find more of a connection and like this more, as I said, it is well written even though I could not get into it.

This book ends on such a thrilling cliffhanger! I was completely immersed in the story and finished it in one go. It’s packed with intrigue, suspense, and a sense of danger as it centers around Vincenzo, who is adamant that Jemma should marry his younger brother, Matteo. While her father consents to the arranged marriage, Jemma is firmly opposed and confronts Vincenzo multiple times. Matteo, too, shares his reservations about the union. Yet, despite her initial resistance, Jemma finds herself increasingly attracted to Vincenzo, contemplating the idea of vanishing to avoid the marriage altogether. Vincenzo is equally torn, caught between his duty and his feelings. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see how their romance unfolds in the next installment!.

I loved the beginning of Jemma and Vince’s story which I found to be quite suspenseful and a definite page turner. I thought Sinister Intentions to be a remarkable addition to the mafia romance genre. It didn’t take very long before I became invested in the relationship between Jemma and Vince, I was rooting for them. I can’t wait to read the second part of Jemma and Vince’s story to see what else will happen next for these two amazing characters. I adored getting to know both of Jemma and Vince as well as witnessing their beginning. Now I’m not going to give out any details about this book because I don’t want to ruin it for other readers. However, I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing beginning of Jemma and Vince’s story to anyone.

I jumped into the middle of Ruthless Rogues and started with Tainted Desire, which is book 2. You get a recap of book 1 Sinful Honor, but I do plan to go back and read it as well.
Jemma and Vince have had a few run-ins by the time this story begins. Jemma HATESSSSS Vince in the most fun ways 😅 Vince is absolutely obsessed with her and just can't seem to really really harm or hate her even though she is a pain in his whole operation 🤣
He is trying to force a marriage between Jemma and his brother Matt, but Matt sees straight through Vince. Jemma has a secret she may not be able to hack her way out of without help from Vince.
I absolutely love Kat's writing style and her sassy argumentative FMCs

This book ends in a cliff-hanger!!!! Captivating story that I read in one sitting. There's intrigue, suspense and danger.. Vincenzo is determined that Jemma will marry his younger brother, Matteo. The arranged marriage is agreed to by her father. Jemma doesn't want to get married & goes head to head with Vincenzo on a number of occasions. Matteo also has objections. Attracted to Vincenzo against her will, she explores the option of disappearing to avoid the marriage. Vincenzo is fighting the attraction as well. I enjoyed the book & and am looking forward to conclusion of their romance in the next book.

I really enjoyed Vince and Jemma's love story. But boy did they have a lot of trials to get there. First you have Vince arranging Matt and Jemma's wedding, which neither one was pleased about. Then you have Jemma doing everything in her power to go against Vince. I loved her witt and was one that wouldn't just take what was thrown at her without fighting back. Their banter was awesome. if you love angst, heartbreak, steam and then love then this book is for you. As I'm sure you already know but I'm going to repeat it, this book does end on a cliffhanger but luckily for you the next book will release at the same time as this one.

This is book one of the Dangerous Intentions Duet and the third installment in the Ruthless Rogues Mafia series. While each book can be read as a standalone, they are best read in order. Vince and Jemma's story begins with an arranged marriage between Jemma and Matteo Salvini which neither are willing to do. Things begin to heat up between Vince and Jemma over the arrangement. I was hooked and didn't dare put it down until I finished it. I had to find out what happened between them. Definitely recommend reading this and I am ready for the next book.

Cliffhanger if all cliffhangers for this book. That ending had me on the edge of my seat, and I am starting the next book immediately.
Can I first say how much I love Vince, Matt, Hero, and Dante? I could read an entire series on these mafia men alone. The banter and brotherly love is amazing and swoon worthy.
Jemma is so much fun with her quick wit and constant in your face, brattiness. The trauma she is living through makes her stronger, and she deserves her happy ending. Vince is something she does not see coming, and I am here for it.
Great mafia story with lots of spice and the best banter with the most fun characters.

Sinister Intentions is book 1 of a duet that will be concluded in Dangerous Devotion. This was quite quite a story! It's an arranged marriage journey between Jemma Donnelly, Princess to New York's Irish Mafia and Matteo Salvini, the younger brother of Vincenzo Salvini, the head of New York's Italian Mafia. The chemistry isn't between Jemma and Matteo though and Jemma is no shrinking violet so she doesn't take it standing still. This is an intense story that ends on one heckuva cliffhanger. Buckle up and and enjoy the ride!

This was part 1 the Duet which ended in a cliffhanger. Relationship between Vince ( head of the mafia) and Jemma ( daughter of another mafia family). Vince arranged for her to marry his brother Matt but his and her relationship progressed to him falling in love with her. Started off great, but as it progressed was abit slow for me....most of the time it concentrated on their thoughts. Hoping book 2 will be better

I won't read cliffhangers. There is too much narration of (silly) inner thoughts, not enough actual interactions. The characters are 1-dimensional and over the top - he's a 6'5" 'dangerous' man; she's a shorter (of course) feisty female who, rightly so, is furious about the arranged marriage. Does she leave? run away? no. Her rebellion consists of dyeing her hair green and buzz cutting it. Also she hacks his organization and steals money, never thinking she'll be caught. The writing is not good enough to keep me interested. It's all so very predictable and boring, so I DNF.

Not good enough to read the 2nd book and finish the story. Too much writing about inner thoughts that dragged on and on. This entire book happened over only 3 days. And their vibes completely do not match. He’s the typical Italian GQ mobster, and she is a gamer who has a dyed green buzz cut who constantly wears a baseball cap? Just no. I’m pretty sure at some point during the endless inner monologues, he remembers seeing her in the past but thought she was a boy 🤔 And his pet names for her are punk and/or kid - Cringe.

This book pulled me in immediately! I love the witty banter between Jemma and Vince. From the very beginning you get pulled in trying to figure out what’s going on. As the book progresses you fall in love with Vince yourself and his obsessive controlling personality. Jemma’s stubbornness is Vince’s downfall. She drives him crazy and yet he can’t stop thinking of her and taking care of her. So excited to see what happens in book 2

So I began the duet and trust me the Fmc is no joke 😂. She really gets under the MMC’s skin and I loved how Jemma really gave vince a run for his money 😂. Never bowing down and super smart and vince I loved how he was super affectionate with people in his inner circle and super comfortable being flirty with his friends. I was super engrossed in the story that I finished the whole duet in 2 days 😍. Can’t wait for Isabella and Ivan though 🤭🤭🤭

Wow what a book. Kat Bammer is an amazing writer. Love her books. Jemma a Mafia Princess is arranged to marry Matteo a Mafia Prince who is Vincenzo’s younger brother. Vince and Jemma end up with an attraction to each other instead. Lots of twist and turns. Fast paced book. Could not put it down. So thankful that Kat already has the second book out. Definitely reading it after that cliffhanger. This duet so far is amazing. Can’t wait for the conclusion!!
