I am excited to see what the Lord Jesus will be showing me daily and I want to learn to listen to Him and follow His will best as I am able. Honestly sometimes I just don't know what to pray about so this little book is something that I am praying the Lord God will use to grow me spiritually. I am excited to see what He does! We each have our own calling and just need to continually seek and knock.

I've been reading this every day this year and will continue to do so until the last day of this year. I'm writing my review a few days early so I don't have to make sure I come back to update this for my reading challenge.

This is my favorite of the three books I've been reading this year every day:
365 Pocket Prayers Guidance and Wisdom for Each New Day
Praying with the Psalms by Eugene H Peterson
Jesus Calling by Sarah Young
And that is in the order of which I liked them.

I don't know if I'd say I'd recommend Jesus Calling, I felt is was weird at times when she started speaking like she was Jesus herself. I just didn't feel comfortable with it.

As for 365 Pocket Prayers, I'd definitely recommend it. I enjoyed having each verse below the prayer to connect it back to the Bible. I often found myself posting the verse on my Facebook for that day.

While Praying with the Psalms also had it's good moments, I found 365 Pocket Prayers to be my favorite. Though I'd recommend both.

And now this has turned into a comparison, but on a serious note, I really enjoyed this book and I often found the prayers relating to my day. I think it is because they are so open, and that makes them more relatable. I also wrote in a prayer journal everyday to get practice saying prayers and I have to say this book helped me form my words better than I could have before.

In all, I'd really recommend this book for someone wanting to dedicate themselves to the Bible for a year. Not only do you read a different prayer each day, but you can look up the verse in your Bible to get a better feel for the prayer and the passage.

I enjoyed reading this book. It took me longer then it should have to read it but i finished it and passed it onto my mother to borrow.

Sometimes a small portion of scripture was all I could take on this past couple of years and this did the trick.

Blessings to those who read it.
