Got the chance to read this cute story, thanks to Bella Pursell! So happy that I'm able to be part of your team🤗.
Charlotte or shortly Lottie was living a life with which she wasn't very happy. She was constantly pushed by her parents to pursue a career she didn't like and marry her long time boyfriend, James, for whom she now felt very distant. Things were pretty bad in her life. All she wanted was to start a path where she can write her own book, but her parents would have never agreed to that.
Only one trip to her sister's actual town and her perception of her world began to become more clearer. She needed to make a change in her life. So, after having her heart broken by James, she uprooted herself and decided to permanently stay with her sister, Evelyn. There she will find people that will love her for who she was, respected her and cherished her dreams.
Lottie had the chance to discover what happiness supposed to feel like and lived her best moments in her sister's presence and her friends. I hated how her parents treated her and how persistent they were in something that brought her only sorrows. In reverse, I loved a certain man who appeared in her life and that's Giovanni Panderelli or shortly Gio, who was constantly teasing Lottie. He saw the real Lottie even before she realized herself how strong and talented she was. I liked their banter and how protective and supportive he was of her.
This story had some great lessons from which Lottie had a lot to learn. Life cannot be what we wanted to be if risks aren't made and learn the hard way. Sometimes, only one decision can change someone's life, in bad or in good. This time, her decision definitely changed her life into a better one and realized how poisoned her prior life was.
I absolutely loved Gio and Lottie's relationship. I like that you could sense the feelings they had for each other and the chemistry through the book, but I liked the pacing of them actually getting together.
Also, I absolutely loved that he called her pretty girl.
Charlotte and her sister Evie were both tired of listening to their parents tell them what to do and how to live. Evie found her way out and now it was Charlotte’s turn. Charlotte visits her sisters new life in the city and sees how truly happy Evie is. This makes Charlotte realize many things. She absolutely wants to be a writer and she is no longer in love with her boyfriend. She meets Evie’s boyfriend Alex and her work partner Gio. Gio and Charlotte develop feelings for each other even though Charlotte’s not ready yet. Will Charlotte stay in the city? Will she finally write her book?
All four of the main characters were great. Charlotte was very funny at times. I’m so glad I got a chance to read this book.
Bella Pursell and Reba Toledo have written such an emotional and inspiring story with Charlotte's Blank Page. It beautifully captures the ups and downs of starting over, figuring out who you are, and finding the courage to face life’s challenges. Charlotte’s journey is so relatable, but what really makes this book shine are the people who help her along the way. Evie, Alex, and Gio are absolutely amazing—they bring so much heart, humor, and support to the story. Each of them feels fully fleshed out, and their unique personalities add depth and warmth that make this book so much more than just Charlotte’s story. The writing is touching and engaging, with scenes that had me tearing up one moment and smiling the next. You can feel the authors’ passion and care for these characters in every chapter. If you’re looking for a story full of hope, second chances, and incredible friendships, Charlotte's Blank Page is absolutely worth picking up. It’s a reminder that no matter how lost you feel, the right people can help you find your way.
This book was adorable it’s one of those rom coms filled with lots of laugh out loud moments and had me smiling and giggling the entire time I was reading it. I loved the found family aspect and the way the characters interacted with each other you get to see multiple different types of relationships form (romantic, sibling like bonds, actual sibling bonds, and friendships) A very cute short read that I highly recommend!
Bella's debut I was really looking forward to reading more of her writing as her and Reba reworked this book. I haven't read the original so I can't compare them but I really enjoyed this lovely romance. All of the Havenford characters were excellent, I adored her sister Evie and her boyfriend Alex. They were both so lovely and supportive and I would 100% love a prequel of their story! Giovanni and his family were also everything you'd want in a family. I fell in love with both Charlotte and Gio and the slow but fast way their love progressed. It was the perfect mix of insta-love but also slow burn because of Lottie's heartbreak and trust issues. I loved them both separately and together they were super sweet. Her parents were awful so it was such a nice story to see her follow in her sister's footsteps and break the hell away from them. There were a couple of slightly odd bits where Lottie was there but everyone seemed to be having a conversation around her but otherwise this book was perfection! I only have one more book before I've read all of Bella's now and I love them all!
I loved every minute of this book, literally I was smiling and laughing the whole time! Lottie and Leo’s relationship so sweet 😍 Leo is my favorite, he truly cares for Lottie and I love his nickname for her…swoon🫠 I loved the dates they had so much and the effort he put into them. Leo’s protectiveness was just what Lottie needed in her life after everything she dealt with, with her parents.
"You deserve to be treated in a way that shows you how special you are."
Evie is the ultimate big sister and friend, I love their bond. I love the big Italian family vibes and found family Evie and Lottie find with the Panderelli family. It’s one of my favorite tropes and it’s written so well in this story
This is going to be one of those books that live rent free in my head and I’m not mad about it🫶🏼
Giovanni Panderelli… probably one of my favorite book boyfriends! He is so sweet and caring and does not push when things don’t go his way.
This story was so cute, so sweet, such a great read. I love the found family and sisterly bond that is highlighter throughout.
After Charolette finds her long-time boyfriend kissing a half naked blonde in his classroom, she uproots her life and move in with her sister across the country. She questions everything from what she wants in life, what career she should pursue and most importantly, who she is without her boyfriend and parents planning it all out for her.
Then she meets Gio whose family too her sister in when she was down, and has now apparently take her in as well. As Charolette carves out who she is now, Gio seems to be there every step of the way.
This is a cute story, loved the sisterly support, but I really struggled with the writing style. I received an eARC of the second edition, which I really appreciate, and there is a lot to love about the story, and I think it’ll be great to see more stories about these characters. Eg I’d love to get to know more of the Panderellis!
“Next time, just admit that you find me attractive, pretty girl.”
This story was so sweet from beginning to end. I absolutely loved the relationship between Lottie and Evie, reminding me a lot of how my sisters and I are with each other. It felt so genuine and lovely to me.
Alex and Evie had such a great relationship with each other, I loved every little addition of them in the story! Scenes between them felt so real, I could almost feel the love they had for each other through the screen.
“You touch my girl again, and I won’t hesitate to put my fist through your face.”
Gio and Lottie were absolutely precious throughout the entire book. I loved their interactions from the first time they met and knew the first time Gio appeared that this would be a 5 star read for me. I’m so glad that Gio respected Lottie and her fears throughout the entirety of this story, it made it so much easier for me to read this.
All in all, I loved this story so much. Absolute perfection rating from me ♡.
This was the second time I read Charlotte’s Blank Page by Bella Pursell. I enjoyed it just as much as before, if not more! It was full of swoony moments, steamy interactions, and lots of delicious food.
Lottie left home to move in with her older sister when the pressure and tension she received at home was too much. While living with her sister she finds herself and meets some amazing people. Some of whom may even be Italian. 🤭
This story is a singular POV and is absolutely perfect. Charlotte's Blank Page is a closed-door/no-spice contemporary romance. I recommend it to anyone who loves a great story. Content warning: This book does contain some swearing/ harsh language and some steamy make-out scenes.
Thank you to the authors for the e-book of Charlotte’s Blank Page by Bella Pursell and Reba Toledo. All opinions are my own.
This story follows a recent college graduate that doesn’t know what she’s doing with her life. She’s tired of listening to her parents’ demands for her future and decides that it’s time to chase her dreams, even if that means starting over in a new town with her sister by her side.
Charlotte’s Blank Page is more than just a contemporary romance; it’s about finding yourself and taking chances to follow your dreams.
While some parts of this story were cliché, I really enjoyed this story and its message of growth and hope for the future.
Gio, the love interest, was amazing! He seemed a bit too perfect at times, but I loved how well he took care of Charlotte and the other people he cared about in his life. I also appreciated how he accepted Charlotte just as she was from the first time they met.
Even though I’m older than Charlotte’s character, I could relate to feeling a bit lost when it comes to the future. I appreciated her vulnerability about her self-doubt and self-worth issues. It was beautiful to see her sister and her friends build her up when her parents and ex-boyfriend had lowered her self- esteem so much.
The romance in this was definitely a slow burn (I kept wanting them to kiss each chapter lol). It was worth it in the end though. I think having Charlotte wait to start a relationship with Gio was mature and maybe more realistic since she had just experienced a bad breakup. Gio was so patient with Lottie, and I loved how he treated her so respectfully. Their friendship throughout the book was so wholesome, and they had so many adorable moments together.
I also enjoyed the sister relationship in this book because Evie and Lottie were so supportive of each other. I loved how they communicated so well to each other and really relied on one another since they didn’t have good parents.
Overall, I would recommend this book if you enjoy cute slow burn romances or if you like seeing characters find themselves.
I adored this book with my whole heart. This is one I know that I can and will actually read again. I feel so lucky to have been able to receive a review copy of Charlotte's Blank Page from the author in anticipation of it's second edition release!
This was a really sweet story about Lottie finding her own way of how to live life despite the toxic influence of a few very key people in her life so far. Some of my favorite tropes are in here, top of the list being found family. I might have teared up at some really, genuinely happy-sappy family feeling moments and boy do I love that stuff. Lottie' struggle with figuring out why she's never felt a certain way about her family and the journey she goes on with the help of her sister was beautiful. For me, the bond of true sisterhood was really one of the key parts that make me love this book.
Next thing I love a whole lot....a cinnamon roll MMC. An MMC who wants to feed her and protect her and see her happy and smiling. We LOVE a cinnamon roll MMC in this house. Especially a he falls first cinnamon roll MMC. I mean, swoon, right? I sure did.
My friends, this is one shiny pearl of an example of a closed-door romance done to absolute perfection. Don't get me wrong, I love some good spice. But I love some good, genuine romance just as much. You get the romance. You get the eyeing across the room tension. You get the butterflies in my tummy, sweep-me-off-my-feet kind of intensity between Lottie and Gio, and it is beautiful. Ahh I could go on and on, but then I'd be rehashing the ENTIRE book when really, you should just go read it yourself.
A couple of no context non-spoiler tidbits that made me adore this, mostly because of who I am as a person and could totally relate: -stacks of pancakes -books, obviously -gift wrap perfection -good food -special editions of special things -even more good food -green, because IYKYK
I absolutely devoured this book. I genuinely couldn’t put it down and I was thoroughly hooked from the beginning of the story. Charlotte (Lottie) has been living under the scrutiny of her parents for too long and when she goes to visit her sister halfway across the country and sees the life she’s built and the joy she has away from their parents, Lottie realizes she needs to find a way out. When she returns to find out her boyfriend and life-long best friend isn’t the guy she thought he was, she decides it’s the perfect time to drop everything and start anew with her sister.
Lottie was a wonderfully flawed character and it was refreshing to see. She was hurt, sad, and unsure of herself. She wasn’t exceptionally confident or poised but it made her all that more endearing as a character and FMC. I loved seeing her relationship with Evie on page - their relationship as siblings and best friends was beautifully done and written perfectly for their times in life.
Meet Gio, Evie’s best friend and “boss” and the man obsessed with our Little Lottie. Gio is confident, gorgeous, and set to take over one of the largest fashion designers in the world. And he is SO down to earth, as is his family. The love and support Gio showed Lottie throughout this book was so well portrayed and was exactly what the story needed.
I loved the plot line of Lottie trying to find herself through writing and that her sister and Gio supported her so thoroughly. The tropes in this book were written in so well that it never felt like they were there just to check a box. In fact, this story felt authentic and realistic. The found family aspect of this story was perfect with Gio’s family taking Lottie under their wing, just like they did with Evie two years prior. I loved his family and the growth with Lottie on her own and her growth with Gio. By the end of the story, she fully knew and embraced her worth, despite the challenges to get there and I loved every second of it.
"I'll wait as long as it takes to give this a shot because, based on how your heart races and your skin flushes every time I put my hands on you, I know you feel this too."
Charlotte's story is one of personal growth and learning that just because someone your blood doesn't mean they are your family.
Charlotte has always done what her parents want, even at the expense of her own dreams. She has wanted to be a writer for years but ended up going to college to study accounting because her mother called her dream unrealistic. After an especially bad fight with fight with her mom, charlotte goes to visit her sister who her mom believes to be a bad influence. While Charlotte knows that being with her sister makes her happier than she has been for a long time, she ends up back home because it is what is expected of her.
Charlotte ends up having her heart broken once she returns home and in an emotional state she drives halfway across the country because that is where she is loved and accepted for exactly who she is, with Evie.
Charlotte finds a lot more than her sister when she moves across the country, she finds a family that will do anything for their own and who accept her for exactly who she is and support her dreams. She finds love, even though it is hard for her to accept after having her heart broken by someone she has trusted since she was young. Charlotte learns that being with her sister is exactly where she needed to be all along.
Charlotte is an amazing character and one that resonates with a lot of people that have been subjected to emotional abuse and pressure from parents. While Charlotte's story is emotional, it is also relatable and well worth the read.
Bella did an amazing job with this story, and I look forward to seeing what she does in the future.
Charlotte’s Blank Page By Bella Pursell & Reba Toledo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Charlotte (Lottie) visits her sister after but another fight with her parents and that opens up an entire new world for her. Go in blind!!
Literally ALL THE STARS. When Bella sent me this book I had NO CLUE how much I would love it. I went in blind- obviously 🤣 But was so happy with how instantly this story pulled me in. There wasn’t a second while reading this that I was bored.
This was much more than a romance book, this was a story about finding your self worth and found family. I loved the relationship of Charlotte and her sister, it actually reminded me a lot of me and my two sisters🥹🩷 Evie was so supportive of Lottie and determined to get her to the place she needed to be. I loved the side character of Alex, their instant brother/sister relationship was so sweet and a nice addition to the story.
I love watching Lottie go through all the different emotions of hurt, betrayal and gaining confidence, all while coming out better on the other side. She was such a strong character and I just loved her.
Gio🥹😍 UGH youuuu guys I loved him. I thought his patience and determination was so admirable. The way he just fell for Lottie was just SO SWEET. And you guys know I love a man defending his girls honor and when that happened!!!😫😍😍 I love him. He was perfect and their relationship was perfect. I can’t get enough of them and I’m really hoping this is a series because I could read about them forever. Bella thank you again for this book and I will never stop recommending it😭🩷🩷🩷🫶🏻
I simply adored this endearing story of a girl finding her way in the world after hers was turned upside down.
Charlotte’s Blank Page by Bella Pursell is a closed door romance filled with relatable - sometimes too relatable (LOL) - themes throughout the story.
This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I saw a lot of myself in the FMC from being torn between wanting to do what makes her parents happy and wanting to do what makes her happy to finding your place among people who are not blood, but treat you like family anyway. This book helped to heal me in ways I never expected. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me reflect on things I have felt especially around the holiday season.
I don’t think it was a coincidence that I picked this book up around a time of year where I leaned a lot on my own found family.
Alright I cannot end this review without mentioning one of the absolute best parts of the book - GIO PANDERELLI. Oh my lord this man was perfect. Truly the definition of “If he wanted to he would.” He is officially added among some of the top book boyfriends.
Bella, thank you for sharing Charlotte’s story with us. I know I am not the only one who related heavily to it.
This book is so cute! The cutest one so far for sure this year.😊
The authors put several things down in words that I have felt. That resonated with me. Sometimes it’s good to know it’s not just you, right?
Now, prepare your heart to sing of joy.🩵
I can not even begin to imagine what it would be like to have parents running your life and making your choices for you like Charlotte's parents. It was the opposite for me. No advice for which electable to take, school to go to. I get it, though. Neither of them went further than 9th grade.
I adore our siblings, Evelyn and little Lottie. Evelyn has already broken free, and after spending a weekend with her, Charlotte is starting to see what she is missing out on.
My heart sang of joy when she took the plunge and moved to her sister. Meeting new people, like a new, overprotective brother. It made me smile.😊
As time passes... Will she find her place? Will she move Bach to her parents? Will she be able to open her heart? Oh, uuups, what does her boyfriend have to say about all of this?
"I had never realized before that watching someone to chores could be attractive”.
I believe it. I have not witnessed it. Still, I believe it. I have seen pictures. 😂
This was such a lovely read. If you like romantic journeys, this is for you.
You know that feeling when it's a little chilly outside, and you're under a bunch of blankets and you have your fuzzy socks on and a warm drink? That awesome cozy feeling?
That was how I felt the entire time reading Charlotte's Blank Page.
From the very beginning, I felt a sense of connection to Lottie. She was written so clearly, that even if she didn't know who she was, the reader did.
I loved her growth and her journey of self-discovery. I loved her openness and even if she feared what she was going to do next, she never really feared being vulnerable.
Love, love, love Gio. Everyone deserves a Gio. But also, if we are going on that route, everyone deserves an Evie and an Alex too. Pursell wrote some strong, supportive side characters that truly gave this story extra warmth and love.
The toxic relationships and how she got through them had me cheering her on, and the support that she received from her found family was tear-jerking.
The writing in this story was smooth and engaging. I was brought in from the very beginning, and I only had to put my book down when I had to!
Overall: Highly Recommend! Spice? Tension and flirting
“My life has changed really fast over the last month and a half,” I said. “I lost my relationship with my parents after three months and countless arguments. I was betrayed by someone I trusted my entire life because he couldn’t keep his hands to himself. I moved halfway across the country and have been mooching off my sister.” “But even with all that, this is the happiest I’ve been in a long time. I’m doing something for myself, but I feel selfish. I feel like a failure sometimes.”
Charlotte “Lottie” Dunston, tired of being trapped in her toxic relationship with her family and boyfriend, escapes across the country to start over with her sister Evie Dunston. What happens when she meets fashion industry big shot Gio Panderelli and has the chance to do and be whatever and whoever she wants? A beautiful new life is the answer! I don’t want to spoil too much of the book but I have got to say that I enjoyed this book A LOT more than I thought I would. I don’t always like reading books with family trigger warnings, but I enjoyed this one. There was a lot of healing, new beginnings, and closed-door romance (I did miss my usual spicy reads, but this story definitely didn’t need it.)
Thanks to @authorbellapursell and Reba Toledo for the #gifted copy of this book.
Rating: 4/5⭐️
"You deserve to be treated in a way that shows you how special you are."
Summary: Charlotte thought she had her life all planned out: a job and a boyfriend who had been her friend her whole life. Until all those pieces crumble and Charlotte is left heartbroken and tired of being told what to do in her life. Charlotte runs to her sister halfway across the country to heal her broken heart. Once there, Charlotte discovers she has the freedom to explore the life she wants and puts her own words on the blank page of her life now.
Dani's Thoughts: What a cute story of finding yourself amidst heartbreak and coming out the other end stronger. Charlotte had always just done what her parents wanted until she didn't. I love that she ended things with her ex and chose to stay with her sister. I love their relationship because it reminds me of my sister. Finally, I loved the natural development of the relationship between Charlotte and Gio. They were a good fit from the beginning with their shared love of reading and he was nothing but a cheerleader for Charlotte as she blazed her path.
This is a re-release of this book, so if you've already it be sure to check out the new version.

Charlotte's Blank Page: A Heartwarming Tale of Self-Discovery ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫
I received a review copy of this book (Thank You, Bella Pursell), and here are my honest thoughts!
Bella Pursell and Reba Toledo's Charlotte's Blank Page is a heartwarming and inspiring story about finding yourself and finding love. Charlotte's journey of self-discovery is both relatable and uplifting.
Charlotte's struggles and triumphs are relatable and I found her journey of self-growth inspiring. The book emphasizes the importance of self-love, resilience, and finding your path. ❤️🩹
The love story between Charlotte and Gio is sweet. LOVED Gio😭 And the bond between Charlotte and her sister, Evie, is particularly heartwarming.
Charlotte's Blank Page is a delightful read that will stay with you long after you've finished the last page. It's a perfect book for anyone who needs a little bit of hope and inspiration. 🩷
This story was about self discovery and finding your self worth.
Lottie is a young woman who's parents have always tried to push her in the direction they deemed worth pursuing. It never mattered that she wasn't happy or accomplished. And for a while she complied. Until her breaking point, when she decides it is enough and goes to the city and stays with her sister. There she starts to realise what family (both by blood and by choice means), and slowly starts to find herself, her voice and her story. She also meets Gio, her sister's best friend, who is attracted to her from day one, but is also one of the most sweet and patient men known. He starts by being her friend and step by step becomes irreplaceable in her life. We can relate very well to both main characters and grow very fond of them. Also, their support system is amazing.
It is a sweet story that makes us think and reflect about ourselves while we see Lottie grow.
Seriously this book is the cutest romance I’ve read in a long time. I tend to read darker or romantasy books, I sometimes forget to sit down and read a feel good, makes you cry it’s so sweet, romance, and that’s exactly was this is.
The relationship between Evie and Lottie is amazing, I love how supportive they are of one another, the Panderellis (sorry if this is spelt wrong, my spelling is so bad) are genuinely heartwarming amazing people. Gio himself is so kind to Lottie, supporting her but allowing her to grow into who she needs to be, not who he wants her to be and I love that.
Overall, I really enjoyed this read, it made me feel all the heart warming things and I recommend it!
Once again Bella goes and makes another great book!!
The storyline was SUPER sweet!! I love how each character developed and how they (most of them at least) grew throughout the story!! The family bond with Lottie and her sister, as well as the Panderelli family was so heartwarming!!
GIOVANI FREAKING PANDERELLI!!! This man… I can’t even put it into words!! The most caring, patient, loving, Italian stud!! I can’t even with him… 😊😊
I have to shout out Bella for perfectly writing an Italian family!! As a fellow Italian, I appreciated the little hints of our heritage (I.e. thick Italian names, loving family dynamics, and little bits of Italian spoken)!! A++ for that!!
Overall, LOVED this book!! So sweet, so cute, so wonderful!!
First of all a huge thank you to Bella for the chance to read this beauty!
Tropes: •Found Family •Starting Over •Sisters Best Friend •Toxic Family •”Pretty Girl”
Charlotte has always done the “right thing” but now she’s ready to write her own story and she absolutely kills it! I loved seeing her growth throughout the story and how she learns that life can be so messy and beautiful - you don’t always have yo do the “right” thing when it comes to expectations and when you stop worrying about everyone else’s expectations your life will be FULL of possibilities!
I loved how her and Gio were able to get to know each other and by the time they got together, the tension was killing me!
This book is insanely good!! It's so sweet and fluffy and absolutely perfect! Just as I was falling into a reading slump Bella yanked me right out of it. Y'all this is wonderfully written and the way that Bella takes us on Lottie's journey is just so special and real at the same time. Gio is the sweetest book boyfriend I swear I love him with my whole heart! and omg poor baby Lottie! I felt for her, I cried for her, she deserved a world of happiness and I'm so glad she got the happy ending she deserved!! This just became my favorite found family book EVER it was so sweet and heartwarming!! 1000000/10 recommend!!!
Charlotte and Evie are so much fun and give the perfect sister relationship!! It was an amazing story of finding yourself, how much found family can impact your live, and how much support those around you can help you succeed.
If you want a golden retriever, cinnamon roll, sweet as pie MMC, this is the book for you. Gio was such a sweetheart that feel SO hard, fast AND first!! The swooning at me swooning 🤭
Charlotte's Blank Pages does have some topic that could be triggering to some that include mild violence, mentions of death of a grandparent , and toxic family relationships. PLEASE read all trigger warnings and remember that your mental health matters
Charlotte’s Blank Page by Bella Pursell and Reba Toledo is the perfect story for anyone needing to pick up their life and make a change. Bella and Reba did a great job showing the struggles and the thought processes of someone going through such a big and sudden change as Charlotte went through. Charlotte grows so much not only by herself but in her new relationship with Gio. By the way, we love Gio! Gio is exactly who she needed, and didn’t force her into anything, which is so sweet. I would love to see more of them together after the epilogue. I am so happy I read this book, and I highly recommend it especially if you’re going through a big change yourself!
This was so sweet! Lottie had so much character development throughout. I was so proud of her at the end! She really found herself.
This book is the picture perfect depiction of the found family trope. I loved all of the side characters and their stories. I hope to read more of evie and Alex soon!
I loved how thoughtful gio was. He was always one step ahead of Lottie and it was so cute!
The only reason I took away a half star was because I feel like a footnote should have been added. I was google translating so many terms 🤣😭 4.5 stars from me!
