Book Review: Calm down the Angry Bird within: The Mantra to Peaceful
Authors : Seven Super Authors

This is a book of "Anger Diffusing Quotes" by seven authors who were united by their common conviction, strengthen ed by their experiences years in varied fields that anger brings more agony than harmony. Every quote either emphasises the futility of anger as an emotion, or a remedy to overcome, or a suggestion to cope up with that negative emotions. Every Quote is backed up by a meaningful picture.
Not to be a spoiler, but only to present you a sample, I give a quote each from these seven authors. You may look for more when you read the book yourself. Bonus: You get to see the wonderful pictures.

Siddarth Sen:

"One Angry day and then several days to recover, Why get angry then?"

Mridusmitha Das:

" When someone tries to make you mad, think of them as some clowns; You would laugh instead."

Swaminathan Murali:

" Anger is like a stormy weather, it will pass, but the damage is done if not managed."

Susan John:

"Pick any one emotion for the day, definitely not Anger though, for it'll create ruckus the whole day."

Sritapa Mahanty:

" Anger is like a traffic jam-take a deep breath, listen to some music, and remember it will pass."

Vidyarani Hanjabam:

" If your let your Anger in, your Mind is out. Better let your Mind in and Anger out."

Jyoti Gidwani:

" If anger strikes like an enraged charging bull transmute it's force; use that power to exercise and make it beneficial."

Which one of you have not experienced anger? We all hear and often see the success of a " Angry Young Man" in movies, but in real life anger is an emotion that needs to be controlled with caution.

I particularly got connected with a quote which said:

" Remember a moment of anger may result in lifetime of regret, so think before you act."

This is because of my own experience where I strained my relation with a good friend of mine by displaying a disproportionately large dose of anger.
Each of you may get connected with a few quotes more deeply.

You see so many angry people around. Your own parents, siblings , friends , colleagues whom you love, but feel they are spending themselves in fruitless anger. This is an excellent gift book for them, a nice of expressing ..." Please control your anger...for your own good."
Or keep it bedside and read , when the angry emotions get better of your sleep.
Remember one of the quotes remind you not to select anger as the emotion of the day!!
I commend the super seven authors for their thoughtful way of bringing out this book. I also congratulate the artist who did his best to get the essence of the quotes into the pictures.

Anger stands as one of the most significant challenges plaguing our lives today. In moments of anger, we often find ourselves speaking hastily, only to regret those words later as we become trapped in situations that make us look foolish. Therefore, mastering the art of controlling anger is essential. To shed light on this crucial aspect of emotional management, our talented authors have collaborated to create a beautifully illustrated book.

This unique volume not only offers profound lessons through carefully curated quotes but also visually captivates readers, showcasing how each quote can influence and improve one's life. Every page is designed with creativity and thoughtfulness, turning the learning experience into an artistic journey. Each author contributes their wisdom, equipping readers with practical strategies to cope with anger. As Swaminathan Murali wisely states, “Anger is a signal, not a sentence. It's a chance to stop, breathe, and choose a new path. Let it fuel your growth, rather than fuel your fire.” This perspective encourages us to view anger not as an adversary, but as an opportunity for personal development.

With captivating and colorful pictures, authors demonstrate us how we can tide over this.Amigdala of brain gets activated when we get angry, and it must be toned down by massage the vagus nerve in our ears. Anger in here is compared to a storm, magma, a sizzling pressure cooker, a cauldron, heated coal mine and so on. Written in the form of quotations, they are eye-catching. Positive affirmations like 'your beautiful smile is missing' and 'people who mock who are clowns' makes our thoughts better. Afterall, it is about transmuting your anger energy to something productive!!! Creative book.

Let me start the review with the best and very first lines in this book which caught my attention which is written by Siddharth Sen

"Love is a habit
Let it help us grow
Let these kindness seeds sow.
Trees of belief and trust
Let roots of respect Strengthen foundation.
And branches with Flowers
Fill the air with fragrance.
Full with joy of sharing & the gentle breeze of caring.

"Anger can be productive sometimes if utilised in a progressive subtle way”

The book has tiny quotes like the one above and that's pretty awesome. The book basically gets you tiny short quotes which tells about how to manage anger and each one of them has a deeper meaning and it touches you deep inside. There are many beautiful quotes in this one. Like the one below,
"When Anger strikes; clean bowl it with a peaceful thought.”
Like, this quote is so real, whenever we get angry we act in most stupid ways just because of the emotion which is inside us but if we keep aside the anger and think from our beautiful peaceful mind then a lot of things could be done better.

This is the simplest self help book I've read. All seven authors have collectively made the effort to use simple yet insightful quotes to have the desired effect.

There are many quotes which really makes you think back and makes you want to control your anger and negative emotions.

“Speak when you are angry and you’ll make the best speech which you will ever regret.”
One another quote that I really felt is, “Anger is like a boomerang—throw it, and it’s likely to come back to hit you in the face.”

Anger can make you do a lot of things. Bad things. So pick up this book and learn ways to calm your anger down so that it doesn't hurt you or anyone else near you.

To be honest, I never saw a book which was written by 7 authors all together. Like, all I have seen are mostly by 2 authors at maximum but here I was shocked when I came to know about this book and was super excited to read about this one. Basically the book has tiny quotes which are contributed by these authors, these quotes aren't the normal quotes but something which will affect you deeply. The best thing about this book is the language used here, it's simple yet very elegant and informative. This is the kind of book which should be read by everyone of all the age groups and by both the genders. Really a very helpful book.
