Audiobook: I was entertained by this short story about the abandoned ship, the Mary Celeste. I was amazed by the interesting details which described a ship which was found adrift in the Atlantic Ocean with no indications of what had happened to the ship's captain or crew. The short tale sent shivers down my back. I thought the digital voice Madison G was fine as she was easy to understand. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
This book was entertaining but, I think, behind the times. The theories presented were all mysterious, but none answered the question of what happened. The latest is that the nine barrels of alcohol that leaked drove them to abandon the ship. The fumes would have been extremely noxious and life-threatening. They may have abandoned ship and tethered themselves to it, hoping to return later. Then something happened to separate them from the ship. The whole thing is a mystery waiting to be resolved. Where is their little rescue boat, for instance. An interesting read.
The Ghost Ship (GKP Mysteries Book 7), my thirtieth read from author Grant Kelly. An enjoyable 27-page short read. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with The Mystery of Overtoun Bridge (GKP Mysteries Book 8) next on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
