Snowed in for Christmas

Rate this book
All I want for Christmas ... is anyone but him.

Benjamin

I warned my father this snowstorm was coming, but he insisted that I spend Christmas with him, his girlfriend and her insufferable son. Jett is everything I hate, a loud, brash, carefree partyboy who spends more time drinking at our college than studying.

Now I’m trapped with him.

The snowstorm I predicted blows in, and now it’s just me, Jett and this big empty house in the mountains of Colorado. Our parents won’t be able to reach us for days — if either of us are still alive by then. I swear Jett is doing everything possible to get on my last nerve.

Yet when push comes to shove and Jett needs my help, I race out into the snow to rescue him.

Jett

I might have screwed up.

I pissed off Ben by messing with him, then stormed off into a blizzard in sneakers and a hoodie. Getting frostbite is not my idea of a perfect Christmas.

But getting rescued by a hot guy could be.

It’s got to be the hypothermia talking, but when Ben comes out into that snowstorm to save me, then all but carries me into a bathtub, my body reacts like he’s not my worst enemy. If our parents get married some day, this could all get really messy really fast — too bad I’ve never been a person who operates on cold logic, like Ben. I follow my heart. And right now, my heart is telling me Ben is my Christmas miracle.

Snowed in for Christmas is an enemies-to-lovers Christmas MM romance with a disastrous Christmas vacation, total opposites keeping warm together in a blizzard, spicy open-door scenes and, of course, a HEA. Go to linktr.ee/faraywrites for CWs.

I thought this was going to be a 3 stars read but nope I have to settle on 2 because there were too many things that didn’t make sense:

- Ben goes to get some groceries when he arrives but gets only cup noodles and very little compared to how much he’s freaking out about being stuck in the house?

- If the city were they rent the house is so used to big storms like that, it seems weird that there was no weather warning ahead…

- I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to heat up your body too much after being so close to hypothermia (going in a very hot bath just right away seems like a no no IMO ❄️)

- The spreadsheet thing felt really over the top since they had so little food to ration in the first place.

- If they had to share a bed to help with the heat I think using the bigger bed makes more sense compared to a single bunk bed. At least they should have used the big bed once the heat came back on. Who would sleep in a small bed when there are other options? Seriously?

- Jett’s personality switches at one point because he says he always presents this other persona to the outside world and his own mom but we never learn why!!!!
Why does the guy live his whole life acting like an as**ole if he’s actually sweet on the inside? It didn’t make any sense..

- Their relationship switches from hate to love in a day in a way that felt just too unrealistic to me. And at the end Jett is all ready to change his whole future to stay with Ben even though their relationship is so new. We also never learn what he went to college for. He talks about being a barista to follow Ben to whatever state he’ll go to. So what? He went to college and didn’t have any career in mind at all? The epilogue doesn’t even let us know what he’s doing (but we know what his college roommate does! 🤔)

- But my biggest problem is that the whole story is based around a non problem. They hook up while snowed in. Ok then what’s next? What’s next is them spending the whole book saying they can’t be together just because their parents are dating (and because people will find it weird since they’re supposed to be enemies? What??) They treat this whole thing like they were raised together or were actually blood brothers and it was the biggest secret to keep that they had hooked up! Then Ben goes all drama queen with his “no we can’t sleep in the same bed tonight because anyway we’ll have to go back to our normal lives soon and it will hurt too much”
There’s no reason for them not to be together or hide the truth from people!!

This quote really made it sound like they were 2 criminals or in a Romeo and Juliet style story:
“We slept tangled around each other, even though we knew the danger of indulging in that. It seems that danger has arrived.” (The danger being that their parents finally arrived at the house. GASP! 😆)

I'm calling it here.
I'm done. Finito.

At 12% I couldn't stand either of the MCs. One was whiny and dramatic. One was dumb and antagonistic. But I persevered...gave it a chance.

At 40% I was like okaaayyyy, we've got something happening.

But it fell so flat.
I skimmed the next 26% and now I'm just giving up because they went from legit hating each other to acting all tender and dramatically heartbroken after a couple of handjobs?
And i still don't like either MCs so whatevs.

I read more than 50% so it gets a rating. the writing isn't bad so 3 stars it is.

Snowed in for Christmas is told in first person from Benjamin and Jett’s povs.

This is a DNF for me. I read fourteen pages and was itching to finish reading from the very beginning. Benjamin’s pov starts first and his scene is loads of inner monologue for pages, which is later followed with Jett’s inner monologue for pages. Ben’s inner voice is dry and bland, boring in other words. The monologue is saturated with over description of everything, his state of mind, the weather, the town, the vacation, and his step-brother Jett.

Here are a few other things that turned me off reading this book. Benjamin compares his and Jett’s looks, saying they could almost be brothers because they looked so much the same. That is creepy, it’s like the author wants to set up the pairing like an in*est relationship when they’re stepbrothers and haven’t even lived with each other. Next, Benjamin complained about the weather and how no one believed him that the weather was going to turn terrible. Not his father, the weather stations didn’t even think the storm would be bad, and the town didn’t even have any weather warnings of the impending storm. So, Benjamin is the only person in the whole book who knows? Impossible.

I just couldn’t force myself to read past seven percent of the book. Snowed in for Christmas had too much of the things I dislike in certain writing styles. Bland, boring voices, far too much monologue, and an overabundance of description of everything. This is my first, and likely my last time, reading this author. I give this 1 Star. I’ve read enough to know I wouldn’t be happy finishing the book.

Arc Review

Benjamin Payne is heading to a cabin to spend Christmas with his dad, his dad’s girlfriend, and her awful son.
Ben is aware how bad the weather will be and warns his dad to set out earlier than planned. He makes sure he goes to the local store to get some groceries before the weather turns in, and the snow storm hits.

Jett Dunn would rather be anywhere else than spending Christmas in a cabin in the woods , but he promised his mom. He arrives at the cabin and is faced with Ben, who instantly riles him by taking the better bedroom.

Waking up the next morning they both realise they are trapped in by the snow that hit in the night, and to make matters worse the electricity goes out too. Food is rationed and cold. Ben manages to light a fire but the wood is in short supply. To keep warm they decide to share a bed, even though they loath each other. One night together in a tiny bed changes the course of their lives.

I love F. A. Ray’s style of writing and this is no exception. I am loving their Rainbow Rescue Cat Cafe series at the moment too.
The main characters are the epitome of enemies to lovers. They are almost stepbrothers with their parents dating, and worry what the consequences could be for them all.
This is such a great Christmas story.

“Yes, Ben, I want you to stay. I want you to stay every night. I want you to stay forever”.

Ben and Jett's parents are dating but the boys hate each other. Quiet, studious Ben and party guy Jett have nothing in common but when they are snowed in together and need each other to survive, things heat up. This was a hot little Christmas story with a worrying guy and a laid back guy who fight like cats and dogs until they can't keep their hands off each other. I received a copy of this book through Gay Romance Reviews and this is my voluntary opinion.

And no condoms when Jett just sleeps around with anyone at college???

DNF @ 25%

What was up with the whole "we almost look like biological brothers, if not for the way we held ourselves" line? Boyfriend twins irl are already a little creepy, but Ben and Jett definitely did not need to look alike in this story.

Also is literally everyone, except for Ben, stupid? How is a biologist (not even a meteorologist) the only one that even prepared for heavier snow? Dad was obviously dumb. Jett also 100% clueless the entire story.

I'm DNFing primarily because all the stupidity regarding snowy weather just annoyed me.

THIS BOOK! My god, this book.

I wasn't too sure about it at first. Both characters were incredibly flawed and completely, utterly, total opposites (and not necessarily in an opposites attract kinda way). I didn't see how this was going to mesh into something, anything. But when they started letting their guards down, they were more alike than anyone (even me) realized.

These two had allll the feelings for each other. It just took an epic snow storm and near-hypothermia to switch things from enemies to lovers. And when they did? Jett was weak for Ben, and Ben was soft for Jett. They balanced each other out, sanded their rough edges, made the world seem less daunting.

The pining and angst after their parents finally got to the cabin??? I could have done without that. But that's me talking as a reader. As a writer, it was achingly beautiful and pushed the plot along nicely.

Ben and Jett couldn’t be more different—or more at odds. With their parents dating, these two have every reason to play nice, but instead, they can’t stand each other. Ben is the quiet, studious type who prefers the safety of his books and routines, while Jett is the life of the party, a carefree guy who exudes charm and chaos in equal measure. Their clashing personalities seem irreconcilable, and every interaction between them is brimming with tension.

That is until an unexpected snowstorm traps them together. Forced to rely on one another to survive, the icy walls between them begin to thaw, and the sparks that once fuelled their animosity ignite into something much hotter. Their shared predicament forces them to confront their assumptions about each other, and the chemistry simmering beneath their bickering can’t be denied for long.

This story is the perfect blend of enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity tropes, wrapped up in a festive holiday setting. F.A. Ray masterfully balances the tension and banter with genuine emotional growth, making Ben and Jett’s journey from adversaries to lovers feel both fiery and heartfelt.

Ben’s cautious, overthinking nature and Jett’s laid-back, go-with-the-flow attitude make for a delightful contrast, and their personalities clash in the best way. Watching them go from fighting like cats and dogs to falling for each other was immensely satisfying. Their romance is as steamy as it is sweet, with moments that will have readers grinning and fanning themselves in equal measure.

Snowed In for Christmas is a hot, quick read perfect for the holidays. It’s packed with sharp wit, tender moments, and just the right amount of heat to keep you cosy on a cold winter’s night. Highly recommend this one for fans of holiday romances with a dash of enemies-to-lovers spice!

I have been reading a number of holiday stories, but this one is my fave so far. On top of that, it is also my fave book by F.A. Ray (and I have read a number of them by now).

Party boy Jett and Nerdy conservationist Ben have been steady enemies since freshman year at college. Senior year, though, it's even worse because now Jett's mom and Ben's dad are dating and they want to have a family getaway for a week at Christmas time. From the minute Jett shows up at the ski resort house the parents rented, Jett and Ben are in constant conflict. Worse, the boys are snowed in because of the blizzard and this also means their parents can't make it there yet. Then, something happens that endangers one of them, plus, the power goes out...and Jett and Ben begin to turn soft for each other. However, this can't ever work out - they are practically stepbrothers....

When their feelings begin to soften and they let each other in, I just melt. This book gave me a lot of feels and I loved it. There are also some nice spicy scenes and they're also emotionally laden and I love that aspect too. The end and the epilogue are sweet and wonderful. Everything seems to happen quickly, but really, it's the culmination of nearly 4 yrs of sparring between Jett and Ben, plus time together while their parents dated and so forth. Anyway - I had tears....loved Jett's hobby and how that gets brought up at the end, too. The only little thing is that I would have moved to know more about what Jett was doing with his life (at least, if there was anything different than what he had said he would do is Ben went to grad school). As usual when I love a book, i wish we had a bit more of the MCs together, but I am so grateful for that last chapter before the epilogue.

I received a complimentary copy and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ben is very cautious and meticulous. He tried to get out of the holiday plans that his father and his father's girlfriend and her son had planned but his father told him all would be fine. He wanted to stay and study but his dad wanted Christmas in the mountains with the four of them. So Ben went ahead and drove through the pass to get to the cabin. He then went grocery shopping because he was following the weather and an incoming storm. Since he was there first he picked out the room he wanted to be his. Then he just started to study and wait for the others to arrive.

Jett is ok with this vacation plan. He thinks he will have fun needling Ben getting revenge on him for all the trouble Ben gets Jett and his roommate in at college. He is always narking on the for something but he promised his mom he would go and have a good time on this trip. When he arrives he finds he will have to sleep in a room with two twin beds... not happy he is forced to go find Ben. When he does he learns that their parents will not be able to come tonight. The pass is closed due to the storm. He then learns that Ben has built a catalog of all the food they have. Then he explains he did not bring food only alcohol and this sets Ben off. Especially when the storm gets worse and now they are very limited on everything.

Will this storm cause more friction between Jett and Ben? Will Ben not allow Jett to eat any food? Will Jett try to go to town to get food on his own? Will it be life and death for Jett? Does Ben once again save the day? How long can the two of the stay at each other's throats? Will their parents ever make it? How close have Jett and Ben come?

Sweet story

Overall, this is an easy, sweet Christmas time read. It starts out with Ben and Jett, whose parents are dating and trying to force the boys to get along. Both guys attend the same college, though that is where their similarities end. Ben is wound tight and extremely driven. Jett is more easy going and free loving. He seemed like a bit of a fool-around king at the beginning. Ben lacks pretty much any experience in physical or romantic relationships.

When their parents hatch a plan for them to spend Christmas together at a remote cabin getaway, neither Ben nor Jett is thrilled. They truly cannot stand each other. The boys arrive ahead of their parents and get snowed in by an extreme blizzard that cuts off access to the cabin for days. Forced to rely on each other for survival, they finally get to know one another and question their preconceived notions.

Despite his best efforts, Ben cannot help but take care of Jett. I actually had a hard time liking Jett at first. I thought he was pretty immature (especially over who gets which bedroom and his preoccupation with always having booze available), but my personality is closer to Ben's, so that's probably why. Ben was also unlikable at certain points because he definitely believed himself to be superior. But as both of them begin to let down their guard, they became much more likeable. By the end, I did really like Jett. There was a bit of angst throughout as they were certain their parents wouldn't approve. There is a third act breakup that gets resolved with relatively low fanfare. I would consider this to be low angst and mid-level steam. I loved the epilogue.

This is an adventure in sworn enemies becoming lovers by way of a snowstorm. This is an adventure in sworn enemies becoming lovers by way of a snowstorm.

Jett's mother, and Benjamin's father are dating. And the two don't like it much having been alienated by three years of college clashes made more difficult by Ben's studious character, and Jett's party-boy persona. Jett particularly verbally jabs at Ben frequently for his careful nature. And, Jett describes Benjamin to others with: "When he enters a room, fun runs screaming in the opposite direction."

But when they become snowed in after blizzard like conditions in the Colorado mountains, Jett recognizes that Ben does care about him, and Ben learns that Jett can stop the adversarial chatter and collaborate to ration food and deal with power outages and cold conditions.

F.A. Ray builds the sets and positions the two guys to realize there might be something between them. It's a nice story - with some steamy scenes - that produces resolution to the conflict. But when their parents confess they are better off friends than married to each other, there's no reason Ben and Jett should not share their new relationship. Reconciliation comes quickly and believably when Ben comes to recognize he wants to be with Jett.

The writing gives the reader significant detail about their pathway, and while there is angst that keeps the guys apart, those extra pages are not enough to spoil the trip to togetherness for them. This is a great read.

Snowed in for Christmas follows Ben, an upright, straight-laced academically minded college senior and Jett, his Dad's girlfriend's son.

What worked for me:
-Weird thing to focus on but I liked that Jett had whittling as a hobby
-Enemies to lovers snowed in over Christmas is bound to have a very fast progression from enemies to lovers. I felt like this earned it well, the stakes were heightened by some quasi-hypothermia and it was consistent with their established characters
-Believable fear of being caught by the parents and the slight delay to the resolution made it work more
-Good character development for both MCs

What worked less for me
-In any given stepbrothers (or in this case almost stepbrothers) situation, the parents need to either be extremely chill, splitting up or both. This was both but tbh I kinda felt like the timeline for their relationship was too short for it to be such a source of conflict. They had barely been dating six months but already planned this trip so far in advance? There was time to establish Jett and Ben's enmity but literally when? Idk this is a very minor nitpick it was just something i fixated on but it didn't hamper my enjoyment of the story at all
-What does Jett do with his life? Inquiring minds want to know

All in all a fun, fluffy, low-stakes holiday romance!

Sweet enemies to lovers tale with Ben and Jett trapped together in a house during a blizzard, little food, a power outage, and a creative way needed to keep warm — now I wonder what that could be? Nerdy, studious Benjamin has despised Jett for years due to his partying and taking school so lightly, but he finds a new side to Jett that he never expected, one that changes his perception of the man and his feelings about him. But the family dynamic is awkward, especially after the snow melts, and doubts on a future together take over. Will a future together be possible, or will it be too awkward to continue once they are back on campus. One will have to make the first move, but who will it be?

Two characters with little common ground, one responsible and one impulsive, thrown together into a potentially dangerous situation, needing to work together to get through an awkward situation that exposes vulnerabilities to each other and a discovery of more commonalities than they ever expected, leading to a satisfactory conclusion for both. An engaging read that had me finishing the book in one sitting. I have enjoyed most of this author’s works, and am always drawn into the characters and the dynamics of their situations and interactions, holding my interest and reaching satisfying endings for all. Entertaining reads to fill an evening and leave good feelings in their wake.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ben and Jetts story, two people who make a wonderfully odd couple. The story was well paced and thoroughly entertaining, such a sweet romantic story.

Ben being the quiet nerdy college study, who kept to himself studying hard and didn’t have any friends, who wanted to go on to save the planet to Jett being the full on party goer, who drinks and smokes and slept with who every he fancied.

At first they just hated being in each others company, constantly bickering and getting on each others nerves, but Ben nurses Jett back from hypothermia after he took an ill fated walk in the snow and everything changed! Suddenly they were starting to see each other in a different way, a connection was forming that neither of them could pull away from. But there parents were on the way to getting married right? How could they be together then??

Two completely different people forced together by a snow storm find their true love and a happy ever after together 💕 who could ask for more!!

An unexpected joy

I've been reading Christmas books for the last few weeks and they've been a bit up and down. I want to love them all and go in with an open mind but I've been disappointed more than I expected, so forgive me for feeling a bit jaded.
This book made my day because it was so good, I just inhaled it. F.A. Ray gave us an enemies to lovers, opposites attract, snowed in, Christmas romance. Studious Ben and party boy Jett truly didn't like each other, their history at their college putting them at odds all the time. Thinking that they could avoid each other while there, Ben in his room studying and Jett haunting the local bars and hooking up, they find themselves snowed in with little food and a power cut for good measure.
I loved the incident that opened their eyes and truly brought them together, discovering hidden depths in each other. I loved that the attraction was equally deep on both sides, even though they thought they couldn't be together because of their parents' relationship. Although the story takes place over just a few days, their progression from friends to lovers felt natural and right after what happened.
I loved the epilogue too, so sweet and very satisfying.

A sweet holiday romance that is a fun read for the season. Ben and Jett are complete opposites and live on same dorm floor at college where Ben is the studious one and Jeff is the party boy. Seems their parents are dating and all agree to spending weekend together in Colorado, despite the fact that Ben and Jett can't stand one another much less being around one another. Of course plans do not go as planned and suddenly these two are stranded alone in the house with a huge snow storm coming in and suddenly they have no electricity and limited food. When they decide to share a bed for warmth, all bets are off and the thaw between the two quickly melts. I love a great opposites to lovers story, but will admit Jett was really hard to like so I totally appreciate how the author created a story that made me want them to get together and to actually root for them. And of course the fact they might be stepbrothers should their parents get married added a nice twist, especially once they gave into their feelings. A great read that left me wanting more. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review.

Ben & Jett
Sweet and fun enemies to lovers holiday story between two almost step-brothers. It was an interesting take on the plot. It was fun to see how Ben & Jett would interact in their isolated environment. Once the snow storm took over, the story followed a fairly standard formula but it was still really fun. When Jett took it upon himself to try and prove he could help out with groceries and other things, I knew it would be a good turning point in the story. I was glad to see how Ben reacted to Jett's actions, and I was happy to see the shift in their appreciation and understanding of one another. There were moments of light stress, but it was never too angsty in the story.
I also really loved the epilogue of the story between the guys. It followed a somewhat standard plot for an epilogue, but I love all the different takes authors make with a good HEA. It's always sweet and fun, and there's always something in the story that makes you laugh or smile.

I loved reading Snowed in for Christmas. I will always love a great enemies to lovers story, but they always get quirkier when it's over a holiday, and this one was no different. The way the two MCs interacted over the holiday was silly, sweet and special, and really highlighted how their future would look once they reached their HEA.

I received an advance copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

ENEMIES TO LOVERS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY!💕🌨️❄️

F.A. Ray has become one of my favourite authors in MM fiction and this story does not disappoint!

A snow blizzard causes two sworn enemies to share body heat to stay warm and boy do they combust!

This is a sweet, witty low angst Christmas tale that depicts that you should never judge a book by its cover!

A snow blizzard in a small resort town forces Biology scholar Benjamin Payne and party boy player Jett Dunn who attend the same college in Denver, stay in the same dorm and whose parents are dating, to spend a couple of snowed in days together- alone with limited food supply, no electricity or hot water..

This is where they discover each other’s true selves and the gift of first times( Ben), trust, understanding and love… but their parents are dating each other and maybe heading to be married in the near future…

What will happen when the snow starts to melt and their parents arrive?
Will they continue their relationship at college or will they break their own hearts?…

I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR for an honest non biased review.

A Joyfully Jay review.

3.75 stars

This is a close-proximity, enemies-to-lovers, potentially taboo, holiday romance. It’s only “potentially” taboo because Jett and Benjamin are not stepbrothers–not when they meet, and not when they connect physically. The cabin is cold once the power goes out, and they end up sharing a bed, which leads to sexytimes warming them both. Jett has no reservations regarding a partner or partners, but Benjamin is a 22-year-old virgin and has never been kissed.

I liked the story. It’s an easy, new adult read, and the snowed in part was kind of fun. I always like when characters have to invest some sweat equity into their own survival. Benjamin was such a capable character, so thoughtful and careful, it was nice to see his efforts be rewarded, and also for him to be valued in his first relationship. Expect some intense first times, and an HEA that’s drama free.

4.5 Stars!

This is a totally swoon worthy romance. Of course it didn’t start out that way; initially Ben and Jett couldn’t STAND each other, their personalities couldn’t have been more different. Because of their parents’ relationship, they’re trying to force the guys to learn how to get along in the event they become stepbrothers by making them spend the Christmas holidays together as a family. Unfortunately, they’re the first to arrive and are stuck together alone due to an unexpected blizzard. With the way they feel towards each other, it’ll be a wonder if they both survive the storm (honestly it was a pretty close call).

My favorite thing about this book is the sweet way Ben cared for Jett. A little reluctantly in the beginning, for sure, but, as they grew to know each other better, their feelings began to change and it was utterly delicious!!

For readers who love enemies to lovers, almost stepbrothers and first times, grabbing this one is a no brainer. Personally, I loved it, 4.5 Stars!

Ben is a serious student who wants to help the world recover from climate change. He drives to a cabin to celebrate Christmas with his Dad and Dad’s girlfriend, as well as her son, whom he can’t stand.

Jett just knows he’s going to bored staying at a cabin and being around Ben, with his school books and spreadsheets. But, when a snowstorm isolated them and no one can get in or out, their attraction leads the to get cozy and get together.

They see past their personas of party boy and scholar, to sweet and gentle and innocent and caring.

They fear things have to end because of their parents, but when they arrive they sit the boys down and tell them they’ve broken up and are now friends.

It takes them a few days to get their bearings, but they know they want you to be together, come what may.

A cute holiday read, with snow, fireplaces, and a little tree with a special present.

Another fantastic read from this author! Two very different characters who don't like each other get snowed in together when their parents who are dating don't make it to the holiday cabin before the snow hits.

This book took me on so many journeys, Ben is a nerd who is so passionate about his study topic, he's not made time to make friends let alone having a lovely life.
Jett has always been seen as the troublesome boy so he's created that persona and stuck with it, until a incident in the snowstorm encourages him to show his vulnerable side.

What happens during the snowstorm and after just sucked me right in. I love both of these guys, each of their insecurities are what brings them together and every romantic moment gave me the love feels.

Benjamin and Jett fought quite a bit since their parents were dating his father wanted to have a family Christmas together, Benjamin told his father that they were going to be snowed in. They woke up to a lot of snow and their parents weren’t going to get there, Benjamin decided to study some biology. Jett put on a lot of clothes and walk to town but got distracted couldn’t remember how to get back the house so he sat down. Benjamin noticed that Jett wasn’t in the house went looking for Jett and took him back home got him warmed up but when making something to eat the power went out. They share a bunk bed for the warmth and they really decided that they wanted each other. The power came on and decided to act like strangers when their parents got there who had broken up.

3.3/5

It was a sweet, gay, coming of age story. I think the biggest problem I had with it is that I can no longer relate to 21 year old kids.

Jett (alternative jock playboy bisexual party boy) and Benjamin (virgin smart gay nerd) get snowed in together for Christmas (their parents are dating) and end up in love. They feel they can’t stay together since it is taboo due to their parents dating. When they arrive and announce they amicably split, Benjamin runs away. They are broken up for a few days but reunite at college. Epilogue with an engagement 4 years later.

Gay. Nerd and jock. Virgin MMC and slut MMC. Rim jobs (both). Anal (both). Mutual masturbation. Hand jobs (both). Sweet and tender. Rescue (Ben saved Jett from snowstorm). Mild angst. Short breakup. No OMD. No cheating. Epilogue 4 years later with proposal.

No pregnancy. No children. No OV.

This was a cute holiday read, I thought the premise had lots of potential. I don’t loved forced proximity or only one bed romances generally, but the author made both tropes work. A Christmas snowstorm, an isolated cabin, and a power outage bring Ben and Jett together. I enjoy how this author writes their characters, full of personality and authenticity flawed. I especially loved seeing Jett’s protective side start to show and Ben’s instinct to take care of Jett really had me rooting for these two. I’d say it a bit long and the parents dating is a bit of a non issue - but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It has excellent holiday vibes, a good mix of steam and sweetness, plus two wonderful MCs.
