Phoebe Gets A Holiday: A Lesbian Holiday Romance Story

Rate this book
For many people, November 30th is just another day. For Aria Albright, it is not…
November 30th means that the next day is December 1st. And December 1st means the start of the holiday season!
Aria loves the holidays…when people of all cultures celebrate their most important festivals, and there is a sense of joy and happiness in the air!
Well…provided there is air…
Aria is a communications technician stationed on Phoebe, one of the moons of Saturn—over 800 million miles away from Earth. There is no air outside of the mining base she works at, although there is plenty inside the dreary structure, which to Aria seems like the worst place to celebrate the holidays.

Kalina Malone is also on the tiny moon of Saturn, and she is also aware of the significance of December 1st. But Phoebe Mining Base #1 is hardly the place to put one in the holiday spirit.
However…she gets an why not do what she can to make the base more festive, and bring the holidays to everyone here?
After discussing it with her boss—who couldn’t care less about it—she discovers that someone named Aria had the exact same idea…

And when Aria and Kalina meet…it turns out that making sure Phoebe gets a holiday is only one of the things they would like to do together.

“Phoebe Gets A Holiday” is a unique holiday lesbian romance that takes place deep in our solar system! It tells the story of two bright young women who want to bring the happiness and the joy of the holidays to their rather drab workplace. Along the way, they recruit others to their cause, make a perilous journey to a possibly haunted sublevel, discover the perfect Santa Claus, and attempt to put on a holiday show.
And they also manage to find themselves developing a deep-space romance, the likes of which neither had ever experienced before.

With her usual flair, Sabrina Kane puts an otherworldly spin on the lesbian holiday romance genre. Be prepared for plenty of Kane humor, snappy dialog, easter eggs, and more than a little bit of sapphic steam.

So, make a cup of hot chocolate, pull on your favorite fleece pajamas, curl up under a blanket, and enjoy “Phoebe Gets A Holiday.” Because even drab mining outposts on tiny moons deserve to experience the spirit of the holidays!

Aria and Kalina are both staff on a mining base on a moon of Saturn in the far future. Aria is missing the festive season on Earth, and so goes to Dorothy, the base leader, to ask permission to do something about it. Separately, Kalina also has the same issue, and so the two women are introduced, and they start planning festivities including decorations, and a play.
I enjoyed this story, it had some incredibly funny scenes. I especially liked Aria and Kalina, and their super steamy relationship. This is a feel good fun story, without a great deal of depth, but it pushes all the right buttons for a lovely festive book.

Another great story from Ms Kane. Christmas in space? How exactly would that work you ask. Well, it seems to work brilliantly.
As with all Ms Kane’s books you get instantly loveable main characters, hilariously good side characters and all the spice you could ask for. All this along with a hint of mystery, danger and belly laughs.
What more could you ask for this holiday season. After you’ve finished this one, be sure to catch up with previous releases to heat you up this winter.

I’m not BIG on reading Christmas books, I just find a lot of them boring…. BUT not this one! The story was so cute and there was really great spice mixed in! If you’re looking for something short, cute, funny and spicy to read… DEFINITELY RECOMMEND checking this book out!
