I am feeling way to lazy to write a real review. So short and sweet it is! I liked both Nix and Kadence. I could have used a little more character development, but overall it was a good read. It kinda threw me off that these bikers are not law breakers. NO Drugs, NO Guns, they all have real jobs and shit. Just bikes and skanks I guess, so that did take some of the badass bikerness(lol is that a word?) out of the book but again still a good read.

4 Stars!

This was a pretty solid MC read. They can definitely be hit or miss and with a new author, you just honestly don't know what you're going to get. But I enjoyed this one.

I can't say it was super wowing or anything super original but the story was entertaining, the heroine was feisty and the hero loved to talk dirty.

“Tell me, Kadence, if I stuck my hand down these tight-as-sin jeans,” his finger trails along the tops of my pants, “and touched your pussy, would you be wet for me?”

Kadence....which can I just say, not a fan of the name, I keep calling her Candice....but whatever. Kadence is a teacher and she meets Nix when he comes in for a parent/teacher meeting for his son Zayden.

Kadence is not a fan of bikers after her house was set on fire and she was left with burns covering her body. All a result of her ex boyfriend owing another club money.

Zane...

Turns out Zane wasn't exactly who Kadence thought he was. His involvement with the MC ran pretty deep.

As with most MC reads, you had your typical club and ex drama. Nothing was too OTT.

I liked that the Knights ran a "clean" club. They didn't treat their woman like crap, they weren't in to anything illegal, but they protected what was theirs at any cost.

Nix...

He was alpha, he was possessive, he was dominant, he was a dirty talker....

“Babe, you either come on my mouth, or you come on my cock. Either way you’re comin’,”

....but he had a sweet, caring side which you could really see in his relationship with his son.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one and I would definitely continue on with the series!

5 I'm still in shock how good this was STARS

Incandescent was the most surprising biker book I've read so far. I've gone through quite a few in the last year and to be honest...they all feel the same after a while.
I really can't help but to go in with little to no expectations and when something sticks all of the sudden it is the best feeling in the world.
I would label this one as a pleasant surprise .

I first read Incandescent back in August, but during my most recent book funk I decided to re-read it and it was still awesome and it made me want to write a review after all.

The Knights Rebels MC is not like most motorcycle clubs and I was initially a bit put off by their clean and lawful ways, but in the end I fell in love anyway. You really can't help it and neither could Kadence.

Kadence Turner is a school teacher with a troubled past, a healthy attitude and a heart of gold. We first meet her when she is forced to invite the parents of two students who got in a fight during her class.

”I’ve know the man for all of five minutes and I can honestly say he infuriates me. Infuriates me and makes me think of things I shouldn’t be thinking about, especially about a student’s dad.”

Turns out one of the dads is the sinfully sexy Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight; divorced dad, hot as hell, badass biker and president of the Knights Rebels MC.

There is instant 'something' between these two. They both are visually pleasing for one another and their clashing personalities just put the icing on the cake. Kadence is a little spitfire who doesn't take shit from anyone and most certainly not from a biker who thinks he owns the town and everything in it. And Nix, well first and foremost he is just floored by the sexy little teacher with the attitude and the fuck me heels.

”I don’t know what I’m going to do with this women, but whatever it is, I’m sure as hell going to enjoy finding out.”

But other than that, he is a good man, a wonderful and caring father and he is the definition of alpha-male. He sees something he wants...he takes it. What's not to like, right?

”Tell me, Kadence, if I stuck my hand down these tight-as-sin jeans,” his finger trails along the tops of my pants, “and touched your pussy, would you be wet for me?”

What follows is so fun and sweet, I don't want to spoil anything, but they cross paths again and again and there might be a bit of bullying going on... on Nix's part, but what's a desperate man to do when he wants into some tight little pants. Kadence really has no chance at all. LOL.

That's not to say that everything is sunshine and daisies. There are outside forces and some ghosts from the past who stir up some drama and even a good amount of danger, but it is all very well woven together and plausible.

I really love this book. The writing is good, the pacing is just perfect, the characters are very well rounded and the chemistry between the two leads is almost palpable.

Incandescent is a book about family, sacrifice and love. If you want to read a sweet, sexy and moving book about a biker and his family...you should most definitely pick this one up. I guess you could say it's a bit of a feel good read for me.

”You bossed me into dating you. Fucked me good, and then you wouldn't leave me alone. Now you're stuck with me.”

Can't wait to see what happens in Sy's book. Is it November yet?

"This man has proven he will stop at nothing to get what he wants while sheltering me at the same time."

Incandescent is the first book of the Knights Rebels MC. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride!

description

Kadence is one tough broad. She is a school teacher. She is trying to rebuild her life after a horrific tragedy. Kadence has an amazing best friend, loves to read, and is passionate about helping children.

After a fight has broken out in her classroom, she calls a parent teacher conference. Little did she know what kind of trouble would be entering her life when her student's father storms in.

Nix is the president of the local MC. The attraction between the two is instant. Kadence is no stranger to the violence an MC can cause. However, the Knights Rebels have made a name for themselves in the town for doing good and trying to make the town a better place. Despite this knowledge, Kadence tries to stay away. But he has stirred something deep inside her that has been dormant for some time.

"He smiles. I try to pull my hand back but he tightens, pulling me forward, my free hand going to my desk as his thumb strokes the inside of my palm. The intimate move is not lost on me. Oh, God, I’m bipolar, now I want to keep my hand here."

Nix does everything in his power to have Kadence notice him. When she doesn't budge he pushes harder. One of my favorite moments of the book was when Nix scares off her date. There is something so sexy about a man that knows what he wants and doesn't stop until he gets it!

After he has scared away her date, Kadence finally promises for one night together.

"He unlocks and opens the door and gestures me to walk through. I should say no, shouldn’t even walk through his door, but my vagina is making all the decisions."-Kadence

She bares her soul to him and it takes everything she has inside to mask her fears. They connect both physically and emotionally. It seems they have both found their match.

description

There is quite a bit of push and pull between the two. Nix's ex wife tries to stir things up. I really admire a heroine that says what she thinks and means what she says. Kadence is quite a refreshing character because she has been through so much and yet she hasn't allowed herself to be beat down.

Kadence is stubborn and refuses to allow Nix to push her around. We all know how pushy an MC Hero can be. I found the dialogue between Nix and Kadence to be a unique twist of sexy banter and sassy spunk!

When someone from Kadence's past comes back into the picture, things really begin to heat up. Nix has already staked his claim over Kadence. Kadence finally gives herself permission to love again!

"I protect what’s mine."-Nix

description

Overall, Incandescent was an amazing read! There were so many tender moments between Kadence and Nix. Kadence allows for healing for Nix and his son. It had just the right amount of action and steam. I will definitely check out the next book in the series!

Well... I'm definitely in the minority here going by most of the reviews.. and this could possibly just be a " wrong time/ wrong book/ It's just me" kind of thing, but honesty, this book did absolutely nothing for me. There was nothing wrong with the writing style.... it was just the characters and the story. I was hoping for something a little more gritty... and although the steamy times were indeed hot, I never looked forward to them because I just wasn't feeling anything for Nix or Kadence..... Nothing. Zilch. Natta. zero. Nix was just never quite tuff enough for me and Kadence was just never interesting enough for me... And I was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, I found myself skimming and wishing and just trying to hurry up and get it over with. I would compare Nix to more of a Kristen Ashley type of character.. and I of course do LOVE KA and here hot bunch! But when it comes to bikers.. I find myself preferring the jerky asshole types. Nix was never that type.. he said one shitty thing one time but that was it. He was mostly just possessive and well.. it didn't work for me here. And Kadence, although she did have a hard moment in her past to overcome, she just wasn't snarky enough.. sure, she acted like she wasn't going to take crap off Nix and she did have a few moments where she lashed out.... I still just didn't get on board with her personality. Oh well...

Incandescent is book one in River Savage’s Knights Rebels MC series.

Since I can't say I’m really a fan of MC books, I didn't expect it to like this one as much as I did. A light MC book, with lovable characters Incandescent capture my attention from the start and I couldn’t put it down.

A spark ignites with every kiss and every touch, his words fueling the flame further. I can see myself catching fire, burning incandescently for him.

Everyone in Rushford knows who the Knights Rebels are and everyone knows their president, Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight. For years The Rebels were feared, known to run on the wrong side of the law, guns, drugs and women, they went above and beyond the law. Changing The Club to a clean one was difficult, but with hard work and doing some things that he have to do them, Nix helped by his brothers manage to take the club back to where it belonged.

As the President of Knight Rebels, Nix had a fair share of women who want him and even fight for him, but he doesn’t want an easy women. When he meets Kadence, his son’s teacher, a beautiful sassy woman at a school meeting, he knows a women like her can break a man like him, but she is just too much of a temptation, one he can’t let go.

There’s this air of innocence about her, but at the same time, I know this woman could destroy me.

Kadence loves her job as a school teacher. She’s independent, fierce and a real fighter. After what happened with her ex-fiancé, Kadence realize she must stay away from some people. She knows who Knights Rebels are, she keeps her distance knowing the association with them is not good and she is dumbstruck when Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight, not only a member, but president of The Rebels enters in her office.

No man has ever instilled lust and anger just by looking at me. His presence screams confidence and testosterone, right down to the way he ran his eyes over me.

description

From the moment they met there’s an electrifying connection between them. They’re attracted to each other from the start, they both know there’s something between them, something worth it. Kadence fights her attraction, determined to stay away from Nix, but Nix is not a man who take no for an answer.

This man has proven he will stop at nothing to get what he wants while sheltering me at the same time.

***

I want to know everything there is to know about you, Kadence.

Everything is getting complicated when Kadence’s past comes back to life and an ex-wife and a rival MC try to cause some problems.

description

I enjoyed everything about this book! I loved the characters, I found the storyline captivating and the writing was pretty good. The characters development is great! Kadence was a really great heroine. With a smart mouth, she stand up for herself, she’s a woman who gives just as good as she gets. Nix is pretty perfect – hot, possessive, a real alpha man who wants to take care of his woman. I loved his dirty mouth! Loved how caring is with Kadence, how he makes her feel alive and how he makes her feel beautiful despite her scars.

I liked how the story and Kadence and Nix’s relationship progressed, it really kept my attention till the end. I enjoyed the banter between them, the sexual tension, their interaction and dialogue. Their chemistry is fantastic, real and palpable from the start. I really felt it! Hot and intense, the sex scenes are fantastic!

Overall, I really, really like this one! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I protect what’s mine and no one fucks with what’s mine.

This novel didn't work for me. It felt like there was something missing, at the same time filled with a bunch of nothing. Nothing wrong with erotic sex but this was done to death here. Our hero, Nix would pull his macho crap, get the heroine, Kadence, into bed, then she'd leave telling herself it was a one-time thing. This took place constantly to the point of becoming a complete bore; not to mention it filled up a lot of pages. There were a few mini-dramas but they took a backseat to all the sex. By the way, I wasn't a fan of Kadence. She just rubbed me the wrong way. Don't shoot me but this erotic MC wasn't any different from the many MC novels out there.

Ah, I really did enjoy this.

(although, again another book with an awful bitch of an ex wife/mother of the hero's child - I am really starting to dislike that as a plot device)

But even given that, I still enjoyed this book.

Nix, was a hot, Alpha, dirty talking biker. He gets what he wants, when he wants. Until he meets Kadence!

Kadence wants nothing to do with him at first, despite the attraction she feels. She is still suffering from awful events from 3 years before, not to mention Nix is the father of one of her students.

However, the sexual attraction between these 2 was off the charts. The build up to them becoming a couple was great, and I loved the cast of secondary characters.

I really loved this book, but there were a couple of issues that stopped it being a 5.

One, the aforementioned hatred of the awful ex wife used as a plot device.

Two, all the worry over Nix being the father of one of her students, and nothing ever came from that, in all honesty, other than her mentioning maybe once she had to go to work, she could have quit her job for all the mention it got given after the first couple of chapters.

And three, it is an MC book, but a very light MC book. The MC itself, is now clean, but a lot of the drama was sort of glossed over, or handled by another club - dealt with off page and not by Nix and his boys. I just felt like sometimes it was "if you want to write an MC book, then just write one!" They were almost too clean, and did not really deal with the issues themselves, It was all sorted and dealt with with a neat happy bow.

But, still a great read and a strong start to a new series. I am very much looking forward to Sy's book. Just do not expect a gritty MC read.

This was a decent, kind of run of the mill MC club book. While nothing overly spectacular, it was definitely entertaining; however, it did have some total insta-love that just didn't work here, in my opinion. Something was just missing.

I already read book two, though, which I enjoyed much more.

INCANDESCENT_1

Ardent. Passionate. Fiery. Burning. Fervent. Intense. Spirited. These words simply describe River Savage’s debut book, Incandescent. To say I love it is an understatement because Ms. Savage has made me an instant fan. From the first page of the prologue, I was hooked and devoured this book in one sitting and couldn’t get enough. I wanted more. More Nix and Kadence. More from the Knights Rebels MC. Simply, I wanted more and did not want to say goodbye to Nix and Kadence. If you are looking for a love story that will consume you, look no further because Incandescent is one fiery steamy MC romance that will having you begging for more of Nix Knight’s dirty mouth.

INCANDESCENT

When school teacher, Kadence Turner meets her student’s parent, Phoenix “Nix” Knight, all rational thoughts went out flying the window when the sexy domineering and hot as hell parent entered her classroom. From his bossy attitude and alpha male persona, Kadence knew she was doomed the moment he spoke. His voice. His looks. His dominance. His presence. And his dirty mouth was all Kadence needed to succumb to her inner lust and desires. For Nix, Kadence Turner consumed him. He wanted her and so he pursued her well pursued is putting it mildly, he stalked and made sure Kadence was his. One date. One night of hot sex was all that was needed for this couple to begin one hell of a whirlwind of intense passionate relationship.

INCANDESCENT_2

Nix’s dirty filthy mouth and persona was equally matched with Kadence. The raw and bossy nature of Nix is what drove Kadence mad but equally turned on. The balance of their relationship was both hot and sexy. Behind Kadence sassy persona, lies a woman dealing with emotional and physical scars. Scars that runs deep that has affected her bodily image and left her bitter. It takes a real man to see behind the scars lies beauty and for Nix he saw no imperfection in Kadence. She was his the moment he laid eyes on her. So when Kadence’s past comes barreling back into her life, Nix makes it known that KADENCE TURNER belongs to him and he will hurt anyone who endangers the people he loves. So when a rival MC and an revengeful ex comes knocking on the doors of the Knight Rebels MC territory, how far is Nix and his men willing to go to stake what is rightfully his?

INCANDESCENT_3

So if you are looking for a book that has sexiness, banter, dirty talking, HOT MC bikers, and a blazing inferno of love then I highly recommend you to read Incandescent. This book was simply captivating and I can’t get enough of the Knight Rebels MC. You do not want to miss out knowing who Nix Knight and the men of the Knight Rebels MC.

3 1/2 Stars - Good enough for a enjoying audiobook listening. I liked both the h and H. All in all a very sweet and 'light' MC club m/f

Incandescent was a Kindle freebie back in 2015. I later added the WSfV audiobook for just $3. — 8:34 hours m/f contemporary very well narrated by Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet.

description

Well worth my $$$ and time...
Good... Not stunning great but in all ways a enjoyable romance story. Maybe I later continue with these MC's — a sexy club boss Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight (also a great responsible father to a sweet younger boy called just 'Z') and a admirable headstrong school teacher Kadence Turner — best friends (I assume it will be about them) story in the next series book. A bit curious.

**********************************************

I LIKE - when a book heroine is more the strong and admirable kind than yet another whiny beautiful girl acting as a hero-doormat

Oh for god's sake, the snark was so irritating.
Would have made for a much better read if Snarkerella (aka Kadence) had actually meant all her snark and argumentativeness. Instead we have "no, no, no, I don't like you, I don't fancy you, you don't turn me on at all, you're not getting near me with a ten foot pole" while she's oozing enough cream to ice 3 dozen birthday cakes, thinking constantly about how much he's making her need to change underwear, climbing him like a cat scratching pole, and practically sucking his face off. She irritated me no end. If you're gonna have a hero who's sick of women being "too easy", actually write a damn heroine who actually ISN'T easy so the hero has to actually work a bit for her! Make her different than all the previous women who fall at the feet of the mighty wonderdong of lurrrve the second his super sex pheromones get within cooeee of her.

When ole Snarkerella wasn't snarking, it was quite an entertaining read (2.5 maybe a 3 at a huge long stretch). And liked that there was no hint of the hero cheating. And yeah, I did really like the hero, just wish the he'd had to work a bit to get her, that she had actually been different. Loved the supporting characters though, and am looking forward to some of their stories.

its almost 6 AM, I stayed up all night reading....again so this will be short....

Basically any emotion pertaining to happiness, lust and sadness, I definitely felt. This was really good! Kind of tragic, [and there were a few times I wanted to beat the ever living shit out of one of the female characters......not the main one....] but other than that...when it was good, it was good! The chemistry between the 2 main characters was fantastic. I loved them! they made me laugh, and smile and yeah, it definitely got pretty steamy there a few times. It was a good read. No, it wasn't perfect....and I really don't even see why the author made a main point to say she was the kids teacher, because that really never factored in...but it was little things :)

What is important is that I enjoyed it for the story it was, and now I am going to bed - and this is not the short, 2 sentence review I was planning on leaving...oh well. bedtime!

This was a good start to what could end up being an exciting new MC series. This first book was a bit on the "fast paced" fallin in love side; but sometimes I don't mind a book like that. In this case, we have the president of the club fall for his son's school teacher. Kadence has quite the history though, and what Nix doesn't realize, is that she has history with one of his rival MC gangs; and it isn't good of course! In fact, Kadence has a lot of scars-both emotionally and physically. Nix needs to break down her walls if he wants a chance with her.

When this couple does come together, they both decide to just have ONE date; but as we all know in romance land, the ONE date usually never happens! When Nix gets a taste, he wants more, but to his horror; he wakes up with Kadence gone! This has never happened to the prez before, and I have to say that I love it when a playboy type of guy gets a reality check from a woman! He suddenly is aware that not all women just fall into his lap!! Kadence is no easy gal, and she has him begging very quickly; but don't get me wrong..Nix is as alpha as they come. He is one possessive MOFO too!!He may rub some the wrong way; but I do love a man who knows what he wants and is willing to chase and stake his claim! Thrown into this mix as well, is Nix's ex-wife who has some major issues, and makes more than her share of waves. There are also a few side characters that I end up very intrigued about...

All in all, I did enjoy Incandescent, it isn't one of my favorite MC series so far, but often it takes me a few books to get fully into a series. I will add that there were a few times where I felt the sex was skimmed over a few times. There was sex in the book; but one scene in particular I felt a bit cheated that I didn't get a full on love scene. Instead, the author just referred to it in past tense, and I remember thinking; Hey, wait a sec...rewind!LOL (I do take my sex scene's very seriously!!! Heehee!) I will most definitely continue on with this series though, as I am emotionally invested. I am very anxious for Sy's story, which I do believe is the next one!! If you are a die hard MC fan like me; then I would recommend giving River Savage a try, it does give some good entertainment!

Super hot, dirty talking, alpha biker. Need I really say more? lol. Well how about a heroine that doesn't let anyone walk all over her and throws some serious sass at the hot biker? How about putting those two together and getting some seriously hot build up and foreplay. Add a great supporting cast that include an awesome best friend and some more hot bikers and really what more could you ask for? Oh what's that? And interesting storyline that keeps you on your toes, with a few surprises just to make sure you aren't getting comfortable. Yep we get that too. I have to say that for me finding a MC book I really like is like finding a diamond. I can't wait for the rest of the books in this series, I NEED Holly to get a HEA. Like in my soul need it cause she deserves it after all she went through. I definitely recommend this one to any one looking for a good MC book.

I usually struggle with MC books, but I had to read one for a challenge I am doing, and I was surprised at how much I liked this one.

Nix (Phoenix) is President of the Knights MC, and he is called to his son’s school and is immediately attracted to the teacher, Kadence. The attraction is mutual, and so the push and pull begins. Of course, there are some secrets that Kadence is keeping, which eventually leads to trouble.

This is more MC light because there isn’t a lot of MC drama going on. Yes, there is club “business” but you don’t really get to read about the biggest problem that gets resolved behind the scenes, or off page. The other niggle I had was the ex-drama. Why is there always ex drama in a MC book???

All in all, I enjoyed it, 3.5 rounded up to 4.

In a way, I was a bit reminded of KAs style of alpha men in this story.

Nix is:
Bossy
Possessive
Demanding
Virile
Crass
Protective
Loving
Caring
When he stakes his claim... then that's it. There's no going back, especially for Kadence.
When he wants something he's bossy and his way of pushing the answer he wants out of her is by making her submit to him sexually in some form- words or actions.

What worked for me:
1. I loved Jesse, Brooks and Sy. All part of Nix's MC.
2. I liked the idea behind this story line. Even if parts were lacking.
3. I liked Z.
4. Nix never ever leaves his woman unprotected. And I was glad this story didn't have the woman getting her way in that. Even if it wasn't fool proof she was never left alone.

What didn't work for me
1. H/h were ruled by their libidos
2. 100% of this story is laced with sexual thoughts, actions and words of the H/h. Due to that, parts of the plot weren't fleshed out very well.
4. I felt important parts taking place were on a back burner and then taken care of way too fast and easy.
5. I needed more angst with the villains that I didn't get. They were there for a second then gone and boom it's over.
6. One bad guy should have been taken care of in Sy's book , which is book 2. It would have made more sense to do it then.
7. Her parents show up way too late in the book.

I've listened to the audiobook numerous times. Story has some issues, mostly her, but I do still love this MC series.
"What did I do to deserve you?"
"Nothing really. You bossed me into dating you. Fucked me good, and then you wouldn’t leave me alone. Now you’re stuck with me."

Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight (hot single daddy, prez of Knights Rebels MC) gets called to a parent/teacher meeting when his loser ex-wife doesn't show up. One look at his son's hot teacher, Kadence (teacher, annoying, painful past), and he knows he's going to fall for her. Problem is, Kadence has commitment issues after her ex abandoned her in a house fire, which landed her with a lot of physical/mental scars. There's some drama with the club, his ex makes some noise, and then her ex comes back into the picture. Eventually, most of the problems are resolved for a HEA/HFN.

SEX: It's hot when they have it, but a lot of it is just faded out. The best thing is they bang privates for the first time at 13%. That's definitely something I approve of.

KADENCE: She can be pretty annoying at times. Mostly because she's always fighting her feeling for Nix and always saying "don't you think we're moving too fast?". Heifer, shut up, the man is down on his knees proposing to you. Just say yes. Plus, she does the stupid crap where she puts herself in danger and doesn't use her damn brain.

OW/OM DRAMA: There really isn't any. After they hook up, she leaves him and considers it a one-nighter. He kisses someone else. She lets a guy rub on her while dancing. Then they decide to hook up again and then it lasts. There's nothing else after that.

KID: Even though I hate kids in books, this one didn't bother me as much as most whiny brats do.

AUDIO: Joe Arden narrates. Enough said.

SERIES: So, this one is kind of lighthearted. The rest of the books are FULL of angst. Especially Sy and Holly's story. Like tear jerking sad. Just be warned. See my review of Affliction for the triggers. These two have their baby in Book 2. Also, River Savage seems to have stopped writing years ago. You'll get these four books, but that's it. There are some characters that you might want books for later - but don't hold your breath because it doesn't look like that'll happen. FYI.

3.5 STARS!

☾Let me just express how annoyed I am for a moment because I literally wrote this review hours ago, only to find that it didn't save correctly and now I have to write it all over again. In a way it helped me because I originally gave this book 4 stars and now that I am going through my thoughts on this book again, I have a completely different opinion.

☾Anyways, back to this biker book...I have to say I am surprised I made it through the entire book because there were times where I kind of just wanted to stop reading. I have never read a biker book before and I am not sure I want to read another one after this.

☾I'm not saying that it was bad, but it definitely wasn't anything great. I felt like the whole story was a bit predictable, and I know with some books you cant help it but seriously! I felt like I was reading the same chapters over again because I had literally read the same scenes only a moment before. Z's mother, Addison was clearly the problem that Kadence and Nix were wracking their brains about the whole time. I could figure that out from just one scene with Addison. So the fact that it took them the whole book to figure out was quite annoying.

☾Nix and Kadence's relationship happened so quickly I actually got confused a few times because when they would kiss, I would forget that they were even together? I liked seeing their relationship develop, especially the scenes where they would hang out with Z as a family. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow as a couple I'm just not sure I liked the premise of the book. Which was essentially figuring out why Z was lashing out (CLEARLY THE MOTHER).

I don't know how to write this review. I liked it but for me it was hard to really feel their love for each other, with all the hot sex going on it felt more like sex than real feelings. But that's probably just me.

Their was a little show of claiming Nix but we don't get to read that part and also don't really know what went down. Or I'm just the only one who couldn't figure it out, that's possible too.

Z is such a sweet boy, I'm glad he finally got the parents he deserves and needs.

Overall it was a great read but sometimes a bit rushed. I'm looking forward to Holly her story it sounds like a dangerous and hot read.

This was a gripping book. It had an interesting story line, with an interesting premise. A teacher falls for a student's father. And he's the president of an MC. Let the drama unfold!

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book is the fact that Nix and his MC respected women. That's not to say that they didn't have their club whores, but they didn't treat their women like crap. There were no degrading nicknames or treatment and while "old lady" isn't really disrespectful, but it was nice to see that term not used by the MC guys. I also loved that once Nix decided he was into Kadence, there was no one else for him. He didn't cheat, he didn't want anyone else. He was committed to her.

There were some parts that could have been executed a little better. Some of the action happened behind the scenes and call me blood thirsty, but I want to see it happen so that I know the bad guys are dead. Give me the pay off of the suspense you've built up! I'm hoping that we'll see those important kills in Sy's book.

Speaking of Sy's book...OMG! I CAN'T WAIT!

Kandence is a teacher not interested in a relationship when she meets her student’s sexy biker dad, Phoenix (Nix) who happens to be the president of the Knights Rebels MC. The two have an insta-lust-love connection, Nix pursues while Kadence protests … throw in a crazy ex-wife, ex-fiancé, club business, and you have a pretty standard MC romance.

Bottom Line- Ok, not bad not great. I don’t regret the reading hours but won't continue the series.

Safety- Tame for a biker romance. Only one scene with a clubwhore after the couple have a ONS and h rejected him (told him one-time thing/ not open to relationship) he kisses her to forget the h, then his cell phone rings.

DNFed very quickly

I hated this.
The heroine was a pathetic moron and I couldn't go on with the absurd that was this story.

Because srsly, the heroine was beaten up by her ex who was a mc member or sth and yet here she is, all happy-go-lucky, lusting after her student’s father who also is a mc prez.
Really?

They exchange saliva right in chapter 2 after which she considers a one night stand with him because apparently she doesn’t have a brain and her pussy is doing all the thinking.
So if that is not stupid I srsly dunno what is.

Instalust ain’t my cuppa.
But idiotic heroines who say one thing and do the other?
They’re always a big fat nope.

I really liked this book. Lately some of the biker books I've read have been too dark or angsty. This one wasn't dark at all. I love how strong Kadence is and what a hot dirty talker Nix is. And what was even better is that I got this as a freebie and let's face it some of the freebies out there aren't that great, but I feel like I found a gem in this book. I can't wait to continue the series.

4.5 Sweet biker Star

I think it was my very first biker book and I totally loved it!!
I looked through my "read" list and I can't find any so I'm officially a member of the MC club readers ^^

This first book is about Kadence Turner, a school teacher and Nix Knight, President of the Knight Rebels MC. They first meet after a problem with Nix's son, Zayden.

From the beginning, they feel both an attraction towards each other. And while Kadence try to resist, Nix does everything to make her crack. And damn if he wasn't perfect! The guy has a manner with word! I swear all his dirty talking makes me want to drop my panties

"Tell me, Kadence, if I stuck my hand down these tight-as-sin jeans,"his finger trails along the tops of my pants, "and touched your pussy, would you be wet for me?

See?

This story is not only about Kadence and Nix. Being a MC book, of course there's a lot of other characters. I can't wait to read about Jesse, the womanizer or Beau who seems so protective over Nix, and Sy who seems pretty intense! I know his book comes next and from what I've already seen, it will be one hell of a ride for sure!!

Back to Nix, what I love the most about this book was that it was also a story of love between a father and his son. I liked how the author has managed to introduce a family story in this dominant man's world. Nix is a father first and does everything to protect his son. The relation with Zayden's mother are not really good and it can complicated things.

If you are looking for a quick and easy read, well written with a dirty talker and a smart mouth heroine, this book is for you

I really enjoyed this story about a school teacher heroine and a motorcycle club president hero. This book had me laughing out loud, nodding my head in agreement and swooning at all the sexy, dirty talk coming out of Nix's mouth. He definitely makes my top five alpha male list for his dirty talk alone...seriously HOT!!!

This was the first book in the series and I loved all of the supporting characters, so I will definitely be reading more from this author.

"You still falling in lust, Kadence? Or are you willing to admit you already fell?"

This book started out as good, but then it became too damn cliché.. I mean, I get the attraction and all, but really? You don't have to be all lovely-dovely..
A spark ignites with every kiss and every touch, his words fueling the flame further. I can see myself catching fire, burning incandescently for him.

All they do is fuck and tell each other how much they mean to each other.. (or keeping it from each other) but gosh, for me it was too much! They did fight the attraction, but I wished they fought more, that they just did more..
"No one has managed to push past my insecurities but him. No one else has looked at me, seen past the repulsive skin and instead of showing me pity, made me feel beautiful."

I love reading about bad boys, specially bikers, but I'm sorry, i'm not even sure I can call this a badass biker book because they didn't do anything..bad? They were the complete good guys that did charity because they wanted to do it, not because they were using it as a cover.. no drugs, only alcohol... no fighting.. nothing.. This is probably the biggest reason that I didn't like this book so much...
“I am happy, and I’ll never stop making sure you’re happy, baby,” he tells me, and I know he will. He’s Nix Knight; the does what he says he’s going to do.”

I have to be honest, I found this book quite boring.. while all my friends seems to like/love it.. Is there something wrong with me? lol
"You want romance, baby? You want roses and sweet nothings whispered to you as I worship your body gently?”
"Well, it would be nice."
"Fuck that. I'm hard and fast and I'm anythin’ but fuckin' gentle. Now get on your knees and point that ass in my face."

The things I did like was that Kadence didn't take shit from anyone. She was a surviver and a fighter. I liked her at times, but woah, she sometimes annoyed me :O
"Fuck that, I'm hard and fast, and I'm anythin' but fuckin gentle, now get on your knees and point that sexy ass in my face."

Nix made this book okay, I guess. I liked that he was alpha male and so protective, a great father and a sex god in bed, but other than that he was boring. "Z" Nix's son was what I liked the most about this book. He was just so cute! Oh, and I LOVED the cover!!! The book wasn't the worst book I've read, but it wasn't the best either. But I did like it just fine :)
I protect what’s mine and no one fucks with what’s mine.
