“Braun continues to skillfully weave love, loss and resilience into the conclusion of Annie Parker’s story. Book Five, Dear The Conclusion continues the story of friendship and new beginnings set in the quait mountain town of Lake Arrowhead, California. Well done.” —Elizabeth Conte, award-winning author of Finding Jane and Chosen Mistress

“Having lived in Lake Arrowhead for many years, Chrysteen Braun’s books continually remind me of just how wonderful it is to live up here. It’s been fun figuring out places both real and fictional. Her storytelling skillfully blends relationships, rich characters and unexpected endings, all set in our delightful mountain towns.” —Angel Yap, Editor, Lake Arrowhead Mountain News

Now in her mid-eighties, Annie Parker reflects on a life shaped both by heartbreak and healing. Her journey began with a life-altering decision to start anew, dedicating herself to restoring a collection of 1920s-era cabins, each rich with its own story. Through this labor of love, she wove together the memories of her past with the promise of her future.

In Dear Noah, Annie revisits her passionate love affair with Noah Chambers, a relationship filled with joy and laughter, but overshadowed by an ominous prophecy from an Indian fortune teller. As their love story unfolds, the prophecy casts a long shadow, leaving Annie alone and mourning.

Seeking refuge from her sorrow, Annie moves to Prescott, Arizona, hoping for a new beginning near her mother. There, she meets Phillip, the charming owner of the local antique shop, who helps her navigate the complexities of love, loss, and second chances. Through the stories embedded in the cabins and her evolving relationships, Annie discovers that life still holds surprises and that healing is possible at any stage.

Dear Noah, The Conclusion is a tale of love, loss, and the rediscovery of hope in life’s later years. It offers a poignant exploration of resilience and the enduring strength of the human spirit, reminding readers that it’s never too late to embrace hope and love.

The conclusion of Annie Parker's story is structured in two parts.

**Part One** begins with Noah reminiscing about his visit to check on Sam Jackson, the owner of an idyllic set of cabins in Lake Arrowhead, California. Noah hadn’t anticipated Sam’s introduction to the newest guest, an encounter that would set in motion a series of life-altering changes for all involved.

**Part Two** shifts to 1982 and features Annie reflecting on her evolving life. She discusses the growth of her design business, its expansion, and the diversity of new opportunities it presents, showcasing her spontaneous and creative spirit. Annie also shares the transformations in her personal life, capturing moments of joy and contentment, the changing paths that emerge following loss, and the evolution of her relationships and friendships through the years.

The characters are depicted realistically as they navigate the changes of marriage and divorce, the dynamics of families growing closer or drifting apart, and how friendships evolve with life experiences and geographical distances. Another notable aspect of the author's storytelling is the integration of Lake Arrowhead's history with the various locations the characters visit for family gatherings, business opportunities, anniversary trips, and vacations. For additional details about these locations, readers can refer to the section at the end of the novel titled "Interesting Facts."

Reviewer's Note: The author initially planned a trilogy, and I am among many readers thrilled that it became a series—Book 4 serves as the prequel, while Book 5 concludes the saga.

Dear Noah: The Conclusion by Chrysteen Braun is a tender, beautifully layered finale that brings emotional closure and quiet grace to Annie Parker’s long and memorable journey. Rich with reflection, resilience, and the wisdom of lived experience, this novel is a moving meditation on love, loss, and the enduring possibility of renewal.

Now in her mid-eighties, Annie looks back on a life shaped by courageous choices and profound relationships. Braun handles this reflective lens with remarkable sensitivity, allowing readers to feel both the ache of regret and the comfort of hard-earned peace. Annie’s love story with Noah Chambers is rendered with warmth and poignancy full of joy, laughter, and the haunting presence of fate making its impact linger long after the page is turned.

The evocative settings, from the beloved cabins of Lake Arrowhead to Prescott, Arizona, add depth and continuity to the story, grounding Annie’s emotional journey in places rich with memory and meaning. The introduction of Phillip offers a gentle exploration of second chances, reinforcing the novel’s central message: healing does not have an expiration date.

Braun’s prose is thoughtful and compassionate, weaving together friendship, romance, and introspection with effortless grace. Dear Noah: The Conclusion is a heartfelt and satisfying ending that honors its characters and its readers alike a beautiful reminder that hope and love can find us at any stage of life.

Annie loved Noah with all she had but their relationship soured after a foreboding prophecy from a fortune teller. Years later, she discovers love can bloom in her heart, if given a new chance. Dear Noah is a story of love’s timeless power no matter a person’s age. The descriptive and emotional narration makes Dear Noah a poignant and emotive read. The characters draw you in as the story unfolds. The writing by Chrysteen Braun makes readers feel like part of the story. Dear Noah is an unforgettable read.

Let’s talk about these characters. Annie is the main character and over the course of the series has become a dear friend to me. She’s in her 80s in this story and is reflecting on a past love. Reading from her viewpoint on life, love, and overcoming hardship is an emotional experience. I connected with her and reflected on my own life.

If you’re looking for a book to curl up to this winter (or any season), take my advice and grab Dear Noah. It’s an emotional read but soul satisfying.

Wow talk about an emotional read. I read this one as a standalone and have not read the previous books. I am just so in love with Annie and Noah's story. I loved that the first part of the book is in his perspective and the second half is in hers. This was a beautiful story about their life and the different things that they went through. My heart is still emotional from reading this one.
