He was everything I’d ever wanted, and everything I knew I could never have. Henry had a way of knowing me inside and out, making me feel beautiful and valued for the first time in my life. From the day we met on Tom Sawyer Island, he’d become an anchor, the person who helped me see the best in myself. Henry was my best friend, but when he wanted to be more, I kept him at arms-length because I knew how broken I was, how we didn’t make sense. I couldn't love him as he deserved when I couldn’t even love myself. But when he showed up again years later, it was like nothing had changed. We were still… us. But would it be enough to overcome all the damage that had been done?

She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever known, but she just couldn’t see it. Annalise stole my heart in the wheelhouse of the Liberty Belle, but as our friendship developed into something more, my heart broke when I realized she didn’t know how to hold my love. As the years passed and the distance between us grew, I gave up hope of us. That was, until we got locked in a supply room closet during a hurricane, sending us both spiraling into a new chapter.
Could Annalise write me into her story, or would I forever be edited out?
Inspired by the author @disneycicerone’s experience as a Disney Parks content creator and author, this clean-read romance weaves obscure Disney history and all the Disney feels together in a novel designed specifically for anyone who calls the Disney Parks their home.
This review comes as a letter to the author and I really, really hope she reads it. I am not even going to rate or touch on my feelings on this book at this time because I need her to read this.
I understand you are a self published author and I am unaware of your resources. But please do your readers a favor. Get some sensitivity readers, and, most importantly, put some trigger warnings on your books. Not just this one, all three of them.
This book has fatphobia in at least every other chapter. This is not an exaggeration. Every time we are in the FMC’s POV we are given line after line of fatphobia. Sometimes it is internalized - coming in the form of flashbacks to childhood trauma or repeated “he won’t love me i’m fat”. Sometimes it is people openly making fun of her. And that is not ok to spring on readers with no warning. This goes on through the ENTIRE book. It is a constant.
I’ve read all three of these books, and all three have DESPERATELY needed to open with a trigger warning page. The first book has a kidnapping! Someone gets stabbed! There is a car accident and someone DIES. The second book has multiple injuries including someone getting a massive shard of glass in their arm! There is sexual assault by the hands of a stalker portrayed in the moment as cheating. All of this is with NO warning.
Please - care about the well being of your readers. Let them know what they’re getting into before you’re springing these topics on them.
TW for book: fatphobia, bullying, parental trauma, fire, smoke related injuries, unhealthy eating habits, anxiety
This is the best book of the Pixie Dust in the Parks saga! I can deeply relate to the insecurities that stem from childhood and how that can affect your relationships if you don’t allow yourself to heal. This book is so deep and relatable, yet gives a fun and refreshing perspective of the parks with sprinkles of history that was interestingly intertwined in the storyline. I loved this book so much!
This book was ok. The self deprecation and fat phobia was a bit much since it was almost constant throughout the book. Also there was an error where the carrousel was playing “Once Upon a Dream” and the author stated it was in Snow White, however that song is from Sleeping Beauty.
