Sometimes the light we seek…finds you instead After the events in Purgatory, Dani hasn’t quite felt the same. She knows the fight for her soul—or whatever there is inside of her— isn’t over. Dani would take the realms by storm if she had her way, but the angel that has her heart would rather keep her all to himself. Nicholas just wants to keep her safe, but when a certain entity from her past pays a visit, the fate of her newly found family hangs in the balance. Dani can only ask herself one question when the time to stand arrives: What happens if she’s not strong enough to keep darkness out of Heaven’s Gate?
A final fight for happiness Nicholas thought finally having Dani and getting the answers he was promised would be enough, but when his father revealed much more truth than he would have liked, he decided living in ignorant bliss was enough. The darkness that looms in his mind has settled but keeping Dani close and his father at arm’s length may prove to resurface old wounds. When things take a turn for the worst and his happiness is threatened, he will have to put his pride aside to ask for help. Nicholas will learn that the power to fight and win comes from the one thing he was born out: love.
Allie Shante was born and raised in Georgia, but now gets to move around with her military husband and her two fur babies, Barry Allen & Loki. She has always had a love for books and that love has never faltered. At the ripe old age of 13, Allie knew she would write a book and many ideas later, Living Legend started to unravel itself into the book it is today. The unraveling took many many years, by the way.
When she isn’t diving into her mind palace, Allie likes to snuggle with the pups, read a good book, feed her online shopping habit and conquer escape rooms with her husband.
let me start by saying i couldn’t be more grateful to get an arc of this 😭😭😭
but i have beef with Allie now because what the fuck….
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
ouch. my heart is hurt and happy and excited for more in this world.
Nick and Dani have been through SO MUCH but their love and devotion to each other was unwavering and they really really loved each other.
I would recommend reading the trigger warnings for this because it gets dark and then happy and then dark again 😭😭😭😭 i don’t think i will ever recover from this series.
I think it was the perfect way to wrap things up and also set up for Elise’s story.
A COUPLE OF THINGS THOUGH! might be spoilers so read with caution.
Nick’s ex Morgan….I wish she would have died. she was so annoying and Nick wanted NOTHING to do with her and they have been broken up for four years (they dated for two) and she was so high and mighty (no pun intended because she’s a guardian angel) but she was relentless in putting Dani down and trying to get Nick back.
literally everyone always put her in her place but Dani’s was my favorite 😂😂😂 i honestly wouldn’t even classify this as major ow drama because she was there to basically spy on them and she wasn’t there all the time. Dani and Nick had one conversation about her where he said that he was young and knew that he loved Dani so much it was scary so Morgan being around didn’t bother me…she just needed to die 🤷🏻♀️
In this final installment, the stakes have never been higher as the fate of Heaven’s Gate falls to our sentry angel, demon, and their ragtag band of allies. Enemies converge and loyalties are tested. Will they emerge unscathed in the battle for Heaven’s Gate?
Tropes: 🪽 Angels & Demons 🩶 Shadow Mommy FMC 🌁 A fight for Heaven’s Gate 🩹 Hurt/comfort 🔭 I’ll always find you 🗣️ Banter 🧑🧑🧒🧒 Found family ❤️🩹 Mental health rep 🌶️: open door
Our sweet babies are processing the betrayals, trauma, and secrets uncovered in their own way. Dani must reconcile the parts of herself and determine what she wants. Nick, a master of distracting and deflecting, needs to choose how to move forward. Both work to find the balance between the darkness and light.
Allie delivers a phenomenal story filled with snarky banter, emotional depth, and spice. This story thoughtfully explores healing, forgiveness, and redemption.
Allie kept my heart on edge with suspenseful action and some steamy spicy times. I loved seeing the evolution of the found family dynamic and Dani and Nick’s fiery romance.
Live Like Legends is a dazzling and emotionally-stirring conclusion to Dani and Nick’s storyline. This ensemble cast is one of my favorites and I am so excited for where the journey is headed.
Thank you Allie for the ARC opportunity! This is my honest and voluntary review

This is the third and final book in the Living Legend series, a fantasy romance about gods and angels where the lines between good and evil are blurred. There are numerous very dark elements to this story so please read the trigger warnings.
Tropes and themes include:
✨Light vs dark ✨Banter ✨Hurt/comfort ✨Mental health rep ✨Found family ✨Touch him and die
Rating: 4.5/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
Nickname: Baby
The Lovely: I love Dani and Nick individually but love their relationship even more. Their lives are messy and their feelings/emotions are messy, which combine to make this feel complicated and real. I love a book where the characters struggle and emotions are felt, and this book fits the bill on both counts.
Recommendation: I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Twists and turns abound, my friends, non-stop. Paired with some steamy spice, this book never lets up. We got answers to all the questions and resolutions about some of the side characters 😉. If you are ready for an emotionally charged spicy romantasy that’s now a completed trilogy, look no further.
Damn did they have to fight incredibly to get there, but I’m so happy Dani and Nick got their HEA 🥹 this series can be a little rough at times so check TWs/CWs, but the payoff for these two was worth it.
From the very start I’ve loved the side characters and I’m excited to see what’s up with Elise in the future 👀
The pacing for the series was a little off at times, but especially in this final book. Sometimes I felt like things were being drawn out for way too long, then suddenly it was full speed ahead crazy. I think the books would’ve benefited from being edited down in some parts to help with the pacing, especially given these are fairly lengthy books.
I still look forward to seeing more from this author in the future however!
Highlights: - Complete fantasy romance trilogy - Romance: MF - Black FMC - Angels & demons - Reluctant allies to lovers - He falls first - Found family
I have enthusiastically read and recommended the first 2 books in this series to anyone and everyone. It’s such a fresh idea with likable characters and a strong plot.
Book three was just as amazing as the past 2. I was emotionally invested in all the characters involved, and shed quite a few tears towards the end of the book. It was a beautiful conclusion to an amazing trilogy.
I am so looking forward to seeing what’s next for this author! Is there a novel in store for my favorite little psycho?? I cannot wait.
I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. Thank you so much for the opportunity!!!
I was sent an ARC of Live Like Legends by the author, thanks Allie!
It's the last book in the trilogy and wraps up Nick and Dani's story neatly. I thought one of the advertised tropes was going to be a huge spoiler, but I'm glad it wasn't the case.
Morgan Lakes makes her grand return from the novella, and boy is she insufferable.
I was expecting more answers about Elise and hoped for Reese×Elise. I'm not sure if I'm just imagining their chemistry or have just been conditioned to pair off everyone who has banter. I'm really looking forward to an Elise centric book; she's by far the most interesting character.
Thank you again, Allie, for letting me read it early. The series was a fun ride!
Oh this was a great conclusion to the series!! I loved it!’ I feel like there was a nice balance to the character growth, the main story and wrapping up the storylines, and really kept the fun banter between the characters. I love when books give you glimpses to the “after” portion of the main battles and this did not disappoint!! This series was so much fun!!
I DEVOURED this whole series!! The way each book absolutely grips you and rips you apart is insane! This was a masterpiece and a great way to finish the series!
I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I went through all the emotions alongside the characters. I am so happy they finally got their well-deserved HEA. They fought SO HARD for it and FINALLY, finally got it.
We get to venture back with the OG crew and other characters who joined along the way for the biggest adventure yet. I was on the edge of my seat wondering how everything was going to play out and it was epic. The spice was spicing and I was here for it. So many moments that were just absolutely amazing. I always love to read more about Daddy Maurice. I loved seeing the characters all grow since book 1 and feel like we’re alongside them for their journey.
I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome and I am eager to see where the story goes next 👀
Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. This review is voluntary & honest.
GUYS, as soon as I finished the last page of this book, my first thought was “I can’t believe this trilogy is over!” This book was an emotional rollercoaster that had me giggling one second while kicking my feet in the air, tearing up & throwing my kindle the next, or fanning myself while letting out pterodactyl screeches at another moment. This book brought all storylines in the series to their conclusion in an incredible way & it perfectly set up future storylines for different characters that I am more than ready to obsess over. And the endings for the characters I adore wholeheartedly left me feeling all types of bittersweet emotions because I LOVED the way their story came to a close but already miss them very much.
Dani’s story throughout the three books in the “Living Legend” series has been one of my favorites. You get to see so much character growth & development from where her story began. In this book, where the stakes are higher than ever before, Dani is thrown into events where she is faced with who she used to be, a powerful being that made others cower at first sight, craving the pain & suffering she would cause, and now a hybrid being that has people she cares for & feels the need to protect. The emotions & struggles she goes through are so realistic in a way & you feel like you’re in her shoes, experiencing the inner turmoil alongside her. I will miss this bad*ss queen wholeheartedly.
Nick, my angel that has demonic tendencies *wink wink*, his character also remains a top favorite because of how realistic he is & how relatable some of his inner struggles are. His need to protect those who he deeply loves, his ability to be selfless when he’s fighting for others, his heart that feels so much, so deeply. It is impossible to not love Nicholas Cassial. His journey from being the angel that abided by all rules & saw the world as blank & white only, to the lover, the best friend, the son & the ally & friend who sees the world how it truly is & accepts others as they are, imperfections & all. This man made me swoon one second & had my legs trembling the next. WHAT A KING. And the moments between him & Dani had ME GASPING & SCREAMING & DROOLING.
Elise & Reese continue to have some of the best banter ever. Their constant back & forth had me laughing non-stop & it is impossible to not enjoy every single moment of them in this book. Their non-friendship dynamic is absolutely top tier. I am excited to read their own stories in the future & become even more obsessed with them. Daddy Maurice is another character I absolutely love with my entire heart & I absolutely LOVED the way his story concluded as well. I AM OBSESSED WITH HIM. Beetee, Daya, MY BABY AXEL, Garrett, so many amazing side characters that will steal your heart & will bring a smile to your face.
Allie masterfully wrote a series where every single emotion felt by the characters are felt like they’re your own. I can also say that the relationships written by Allie are some of the most beautiful I’ve read about, whether romantic, familial or friendships that are completely platonic. The found family in this series is absolutely top tier & I love every single member within it. I truly think this book & series are must reads if you haven’t already. Get ready to become obsessed with this world & these characters that absolute living legends. 🩶
Let me just start off by saying Living Legend & Legends are my favs but Live Like Legends 📖 definitely has my heart! The world building in this whole trilogy is full of a whirlwind of stories created with angels, demons, hellhounds, and enchanters, you name it! I loved how the author wrapped the series into the full trilogy, although I am still begging and yearning for more, and cannot wait to read more of her work and you should too 😉!
Let me say light tease/spoiler we got the representation of Dani and Nick that we deserved throughout the series, their connection is on point their vulnerability is what had me yearning, like please … NEED MORE OF THAT! 🤌🏼 I loved how in this latest novel we had all the characters back together again and then the POV was revolving mostly between Dani and Nick in which it was interesting to read about, and learn more about their perspectives. 😏 ( May we please discuss my liking more for Reese and his loyalty to his friendship. Elise is a snarky person but has her funny moments, as well as friendly times.)
🥺I also wanna shed some light on the tears I shed, the twists, the turns, the non stops plots that had me screaming, but also the moments that had me yelling at the my kindle screen like what!! Omg like the spice and steamy moments too, like ohhhh yeah it was made for me 🥵! I will say Allie loved how we got the answers to a lot of the questions about some of the side characters as well. This trilogy definitely changed my emotions for trilogies, and I hope we don’t have to say goodbye to the characters in this trilogy for long! I can’t wait to read more about them! 🥰🪽
Allie Shante, thank you so much for writing one of the utmost best book trilogies! I literally cannot describe how much I love I am with Living Legend, Legends and lastly thank you for Live Like Legends 🤍! The world building, the characters, and your in depth writing not only allowed me to escape into a new world, but it brought comfort and left me with plot twists and turns that I could not put down, I not only fell in love but was left in love and was utterly left speechless and in left with happy tears 🥹! Nick and Dani have my heart forever, I cannot let go of these characters, like noo! Remember to read the trigger warnings! This story can become happy, dark and then happy, but you can recover, don't worry! Thank you, Allie Shante can't wait for your new upcoming projects🥳
Allie. ALLIE🥹 the heartbreak pls. This is the final & 3rd installment in the Living Legends series & idk where to begin.
What do i even say? Besides thank you for this beautiful story. It’s not goodbye but see you later 😭 except i don’t want them to end. This story touched on mental health, anxiety, ptsd & panic attacks. It’s so good bc it’s relatable. One moment you could be fine & witness one trigger that sets you off. “Breathe in, Breathe out.”
Allie Shante did a freaking amazing job on touching on mental health. Like check in on the ppl who think they always have to be okay. “If we cry, we cry right?”
*from a girl who habitually says she’s okay when she’s really not…. “I guess I’m fine, but then again, I’m not. Does that make sense?”
I think it was so beautiful that we see so much character development throughout this series. Nick, Reese, Elise & Dani all have some form of a glow up in this book. Reese was so one track minded in the first book & in the end he’s this profound guy. — “Lead the way, little one.” Ioveeee his nickname for Elise lol.
Elise character development- The little things she does or says that show she cares but she won’t ever admit it. Truthfully, i love it.
Nick, oh how i love me some Dani & Nick❤️🔥 one of the greatest love stories.
“I’m in love with her!” My eyes widened at the need for her to fucking hear me.” “She isn’t a stain or a problem, she’s… she’s it for me.”
— Once again, i just loved the character development. Seeing Nick go from basically trying to change Dani/ being scared to admit he likes her bc he wants to be this perfect angel to being an unapologetic man in love with his girl was amazing. To be loved out loud, is to be really seen🖤 * a thousand thank yous & maybe a therapy bill later, i know ill never stop wondering what’s next in this world🖤
Oh my gosh, ok, Allie. My heart. What an emotional rollercoaster! I fretted; I cried; I raged; I laughed; I cried again. What a conclusion to a unique and deeply told story. Mental health rep was so good here. 👏
Once again we begin right where we left off after a largely climactic ending. Relationships have been broken, mended, and separated. Stakes are higher than ever and enemies are around every corner. No place in their realm is safe. But our hilarious and supportive dysfunctional found family is still knitted together and ready to fight for one another to the death. We get to travel to places new and old. We get more knowledge and unearthed secrets revealed. We see love, acceptance, comfort, pain, loss, revenge, new powers and epic plot twists. I loved it all so much.
It was such a joy to get to read this series straight through. I truly believe it made it flow so well. I was super impressed with the character growth in here as well. I felt like book two we saw a lot of the side characters grow and Nick begin to but in this book, we really got to see Nick and Dani move past their poor coping mechanisms and into methods that allowed support. Because we all know that standing on our own takes a lot of strength, but sometimes it takes more strength to lean on a friend for help.
Tropes you may find in LLL are all the banter, mental health rep, comfort, high spice with a delicious library scene, angels x demons x enchanters, unlikely allis, paranormal Romantasy, found family, forced proximity, action packed fight scenes, and a wondrous ending.
It’s been an honor to read your series and this gifted arc, Allie. Such a unique tale that I will continue to live with me!
Live Like Legends is the epic finale of the Living Legends series and it was amazing. Dani and Nick are the loving and supportive power couple of Heaven's Gate . And all the others of that colorful group are here to add to the fun . And by fun I mean all the adventures in all of the realms. Yes, they are urged to venture into Hell and are met with new challenges. And some ex-es don't want to stay ex and are messing with them . That only adds to the emotional whirlwind of the story, all the suspense and all the action. Dani and Nick are working on their relationship and are dealing with all the things that happened to them in Purgatory and all that is happening now in Heaven's Gate. The friendship between Reese and Dani was beautiful. But the banter and constant bickering between Reese and Elise just made it so much fun. Was a little bit surprised with the outcome of who was the new rightful ruler of Heaven's Gate and Elise's decision to return to Purgatory. And after that bonus scene I didn't expected that but after all the hints I should have been prepared for something like that. Loved the happily ever after for Dani and Nick , Maurice and Daya and Beete and her family. But the evolution in Dani's character was so inspiring and beautiful and all that reflected with the look of her wings . Definitely loved it . And I won't be even upset with Morgan and Dimitri and all the havoc they wrecked. After all loose ends are tied and the situation between the realms is settled for now I can wait for Elise's story . And I hope there's more of Reese and Elise. There's a nice ring to it .
Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.
I am still processing all the feels, and I am pretty sure I need an immediate re-read of the full series to really work through everything. What a ride! This was so good, and the perfect wrap-up. Nick and Dani are just a top-tier book couple. They have been through so much both together, and apart, and I love that their story is not clean. They are not perfect characters, and their love story is just as messy and complicated. They have to work through real sh*t to get themselves in the right place, and get their relationship in the right place. It is perfect. This book has all the banter and tension and spice and tender romance we’ve come to expect from Allie and the series. You also get this intense adventure story feel- like National Treasure or The Mummy…. It is like this great epic caper, you are trying to figure things out, and the action and intrigue drives everything forward, but then there is this beautiful and sometimes tragic love story partnered with it. Just… *chef’s kiss*. It gets quite a bit darker in Book 3, which is perfect for how the story unfolds- it NEEDS to go there. Allie has such a powerful way of portraying mental health too, but it is so woven into the fiber of the characters and story that any person, from any walk of life, could pick up these books, and find themselves and their struggles in the characters.
*I am dying for the audiobooks for the full series, because Book 1 was out of this world!*
I'm FINALLY posting this review! This was one of my Most Anticipated reads for 2025 and it did NOT disappoint! I thought the last book was my favorite in the series, but this one has Taken Over!
Dani and Nick have to play "house" while they figure out what's next as Hell thinks Dani is dead. Dani has to learn more about her power and figure out if she can control it. Nick is struggling to deal with the secrets his father kept from him for years, while also trying to help Dani and not kill his boss. When Hell finds out Dani isn't so dead, shit gets crazy and turns for the worst.
Dani and Nick!! Nick and Dani!! Ugh! They are so damn ADORABLE!! It's so interesting to see the black cat/cinnamon roll dynamic when that cinnamon roll will tap into killer mode for anyone who touches her. I LOVE their relationship and how he really tries to keep his shit together...that is..until someone tries her.
The character development of the MCs, the growth within their relationship, the memorable and hilarious side characters, the banter, the action, the trauma, the SPICE!! It was just a top tier book and very well written. All the loose ends were tied and it kept me intrigued the Entire time! Thanks Allie Shante for this beautiful series that will be apart of my rereads gang!! I'm soo sad it's over, but can't wait to see what you do next!
I received this as an Advanced Reader Copy, but this review is honest and voluntary.
Now that's the way to end a trilogy. I loved Live Like Legends. Allie has created complex and beautiful characters. They have fun. They banter. They're sassy. And they're also vulnerable and struggling with their trauma. I just love the balance between the fun, the emotions, and the action.
There won't be any spoilers in this review, so this will be fairly vague. There's a lot left up in the air still after Legendary, but I love how strong the friend group is. They worked through the tough stuff in the first two books. Now they are better equipped to work together against their common enemy.
I loved the. journey that Dani takes, specifically in the first two parts. What a beautiful moment of growth for both Dani and Nick. There were also a couple of surprises that I enjoyed the direction they went to end out this trilogy. It was wildly satisfying.
And if that isn't all, Allie has hinted at more to come from this world, and I, for one, can't wait. I highly recommend this trilogy, and I hope you enjoy it just as much as I have.
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, and I’m still recovering! The twists, the turns, the gut punches—I was reeling! From book one, I was hooked, but this finale?? Absolute perfection.
Dani is everything. Even in her lowest moments, her confidence never truly fades—she holds on to the fierce, unstoppable force that makes her the ultimate shadow mommy we adore. And Nick?? Let’s talk about Nick. His character arc is hands down the most powerful in the series. Watching him fight, grow, and love with every ounce of his soul had me fully immersed. His love is so raw and real, I swear you can feel it vibrating off the pages.
The banter? Chef’s kiss! 👏 Elise is dangerously lovable (and I have SO many theories about her 👀), and if we don’t get a Reese storyline where our hilarious bestie gets his main character moment, I WILL riot!
This book is everything—real, raw, action-packed, and overflowing with feels. I could not recommend this series enough, and with Allie wrapping up the trilogy so flawlessly, I’m throwing five glowing stars at all three books! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
4.5 Easily my favorite book of the series, maybe it's because I love an established couple or just because Nick and Dani have come to a point of finally being able to trust and lean on each other in all the ways. In any case, this book was such a perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Like I said, Nick and Dani have come so far in not only their relationship but also individually and I've only gotten to love them more and more. Same with their friends, Reese is as loyal as ever, Elise is all of us and our intrusive thoughts, and Beetee is her usual ray of sunshine. So many questions were finally answered in this one and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Speaking of timing, the pacing and chapter breaks in this book, as well as the marrying of plot and character/relationship development, also felt way smoother than the first two, not that I didn't enjoy books 1 and 2 just as well, but you could definitely see a progression that's especially evident here. These characters and story will be with me for a long, long time and I'm not mad about it. I can't wait to see what Allie graces us with next!
This was a worthy ending to this trilogy. We pick up of course right where we left off and hit the ground running. While we still have moments of quiet time where relationships and friendships evolve a grow, this story moves faster than the previous book and has a lot more excitement.
Dani, Nick, and the gang have been on a crazy journey but they come out of it better. As always the relationships and interactions with all the characters is great.
My only complaint is I wish the epilogue was farther in the future. Like what is everyone (especially Dani and Nick) doing 5 years from now. How have the realms changed? I’m assuming because we’re going to get Elise’s story that the author doesn’t want to give anything away, even though I have a strong idea on Elise’s secret. I wouldn’t mind a novella of everyone in the future *hint hint*
I had the pleasure of being able to read the arc and I’m not ready to let them go 😭😂 Allie has a way with words I probably cried 4/5 times with little things she’d say but she also kept me on my toes while reading and felt every emotion in between lol Dani’s and Nicks love is like no other! Dani had me laughing when she finally taught an annoying angel a lesson 🤭 but I also love that her and Reese have a good friendship built with each other. Finally finding out Maurice’s secret was heartbreaking and I’m glad we finally got to find out what it was I never even thought that’s what he’d been hiding! I enjoyed this series and the spice in here is 🤌🏽💋 the library fun had me giggling just like Dani 😂 I’m glad with how this series has ended even tho Allie broke my heart and scared the crap out of me towards the end but I’m also glad some people also got what they deserved. I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for your future books! 🫶🏽
The PERFECT ending to the Living Legend trilogy. Just when you thought everything was calm, all Hell breaks loose “literally” 😂 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• •Please make sure you check TW before diving in. This one touches base on a few heavier topics.•
Book 3 takes off where it stopped in Legendary, a very smooth transition. EVERYTHING about this book was great, other than my heart being shattered a few times and then sewn back together each time. Now - the spicy scenes will make you blush and need a breather, but they are definitely worth it!! The bittersweet ending really wrapped the trilogy up so well! Team Nick & Dani FO’ LIFE.
I do have to add that Reese and Elise have to be my favorite side characters!! They talk crap to each other through the whole book, up until the end 😂
“One day your light will be just as big as that all on your own, but sometimes it's okay to get a little help.”
I am obsessed with Living Legend series! This world took my heart by storm with the theme of embracing both the light and dark. Dani is one of the most epic FMC’s to exist with so much power, I bow before her glory every single time. This final installment made me cackle out loud and swoon at the same time. If you have not started this series you are truly missing out on brilliant world building, found family, and the best banter. 🥹
“There is not an evil in the realms that will stop me from getting to you. I will always find you.”
Read if you love: ✔️Fantasy romance ✔️Angels and Demons ✔️Ferocious FMC ✔️Found Family ✔️Witty banter ✔️F0rbidden love ✔️Good boy 😏 ✔️Dual POV
Ms. Shante!!!! Ya’ll, I’m so happy we got to experience this series together! For this to be her first published completed series? I have a suspicion this won’t be her last… And as the author grows, I cannot WAIT to be along for the ride and read more from her! The fact that we’re left with an Elise teaser at the end too?! Great wrap up to this angel/demon romantic fantasy. I was so happy to see more POVs from some very beloved characters in this. And the author has a great way of creating characters that are very unique and elicit strong feeling from the reader.
The action and storyline was well written and thought out and brought us to ALL the realms, which was something I was hoping for! The characters have changed and grown by this book, and in believable and exciting ways.
The only thing I was really missing was some Reese + Elise….
Allie, Allie, Allie - you gave us the perfect finale for Dani and Nick!
Live Like Legends answers all of your lingering questions from books #1 and #2. The same delicious and witty banter (Elise and Reese are still on their bullsh*t, and it gets better). Even hotter scenes. Plot twists. Epic battles. Reunions. A touch of sad, but a whole lot more "F*CK YEAH".
If you're in the mood for: ✨ a strong, powerful POC FMC ✨ hilarious sidekicks ✨ a MMC who is a S I M P for his girl ✨ action in the bedroom and the battlefield ✨ an HEA
Hurry up and read Living Legend and Legendary, and scoop this up as soon as it's out!!
ARC Note: I received an advanced copy of this book and am enthusiastically leaving this review
This is the final in the trilogy that focuses on Nick and Dani and it DELIVERED!!! One thing that I love about this series as a whole, about this book, and about Allie's writing is the way Allie intertwines emotional aspects of the story with the fantasy action of the story. I'm used to getting fantasy action but I feel like not as many really dive into the trauma and mental health rep in the same way that she does. I think there were times I wanted to rest on moments a bit more, but overall it does a good job with the story, the characters, and the world. I honestly think this was a perfect ending to the trilogy not only in the note we leave off of, but in the growth we see in the characters. I LOVED the growth aspect especially in the side characters.
I’m so glad Nick and Dani finally got the happy ending they deserve because the author put them THROUGH IT 😭
The conclusion to this trilogy was everything I needed. Nick and Dani came such a long way and I love them so much. They worked through their trauma and mental health issues and came out stronger on the other end. It was so beautiful! 😭😭
If you haven’t picked up this series yet, I highly encourage you to do so! The side characters give me life (Reese I’m coming for you someday), the spice is spicinggg, and the battles will keep you one your toes. The twists and turns will keep you guessing.
The author did us a public service by writing Nick for all the good girls out there. Thank you.
Thank you so much to Allie for providing me with an arc!
I, unfortunately, did not enjoy this book as much as the other two. The romance and love between Nick and Dani were the best parts of the book, but for me personally, I felt the paranormal aspects could've been expanded upon more and this is coming from someone who reads mostly romance. I would've loved the battles and action parts of the book to have been more than just the same three locations. I also felt as if some of the high stakes were a bit too easy, regardless of all that I do love this author's writing, and I'll definitely be reading more of her work in the future.
