This book has me torn—torn between wanting it to stay incomplete and wanting to find out what happens next. This is a fairly short dark Mafia romance that’s a bit on the lighter side of spice. There’s definitely room for development of character, fleshing out the backstories more, and has potential to be a good series.
My biggest issue with this was timing. There appeared to be days, weeks, possibly even months that happened between chapters with no clear indication that has happened other than someone saving “we’ll look into it” and the next chapter has something found.
All in all, not bad for a short read with a cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to book 2!

This was my first introduction to a mafia book and it was overall a great experience. The FMC was a strong individual and very relatable. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no further background information on the families and setting. There also could be some further character development. There are also times that I felt like I lost a chunk of time and seemed to jump into the future than just the next morning. Overall this was a quick enjoyable read and can’t wait to read the second one.

Dark Temptation is an intense, high-heat dark romance that leans fully into obsession, danger, and emotional extremes. Stephanie Hoyle doesn’t shy away from writing raw, explicit scenes, and readers who enjoy possessive dynamics and fast-moving romantic tension will find plenty to engage with here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Mafia-based novel, and I think Stephanie did an excellent job writing it.
While it was a quick and engaging read, I felt it had the potential to be even more compelling if it had delved deeper into the characters' back stories after the introduction.
I'm excited to dive into Book 2.

This book delves into the life of Lana and her experience with the dark underbelly of the mafia. The story is a journey of change and growth for Lana and it leaves you wanting to know more. Author did an excellent job, the book is well written and the story flows easily. It was a fairly quick read that I enjoyed immensely.

This is a short quick easy to read dark mafia romance. Overall the basis of the storyline was good but would have liked more character development at the beginning of story. I had the sensation I was placed inside a story that had already began. Think with more development the story would of been even better

Loved this book. The trio had me so hooked specially Dominic. Full of thriller ,spice and so exciting. Stephanie wrote a masterpiece. Makes me re read it. Got goosebumps in some chapters.

It was a quick read, but I loved it! I'm obsessed with mafia dark romance and this cleansed my pallete. Lana has a complicated life and just go through the motions. She is very intrigued with the two brothers she always sees in the club under her place. Come to find out they are part of a very "special" mafia with their father. The spice, characters, the tension, and twists & turns were amazing. I was so shocked by the ending too! I had to go straight to the second novella.

Dominic and Lana I believe will make it through it but the betrayal from Nate and Alex I believe she will get her revenge! I think they underestimated her and that will be their biggest mistake.

The deeper down the rabit hole she goes the more secrets get unraveled. In this book we see Lana have an attaction to not one, not two but three men, Alex, Nathan and Dominic, her attraction to them intensifies the more the story develops.
Lana wants revenge for her mothers d3ath, but does the lust and seduction these men give her claim her heart, or does the deadly truth get to much and help towards pursuing her revenge.
It was short, quick and thrilling novel! One with drama, spice and a whole lot of trauma.

This was a decent mafia read. The storyline was intriguing and entertaining. The characters were interesting. I do think there could have been more backstory though. Overall a good read.

This is a love triangle, mafia, two-hour romance short read. It has you hooked from chapter 1, page turner, keeps you guessing, can't walk away afraid of missing what's next. I has everything you need in 1 story line, the plot, the s3x, the drama, the trauma, the hard choices, just when you think you figured it all out BAM there is a twist n turn thrown at you and then it ends with a to be continued. I'm so ready for book 2, I need to know what's happening next.

First time reading a book by Stephanie Hoyle and she didn’t disappoint. This book is centered around the FMC Lana and her mafia bad boys Nathan, Alex and Dominic. There is a serious plot twist written within this book with mafia ties that will keep you guessing till the end and wanting more. Bring on book 2.

This book drew me in from the start. I could not put this book down! Each chapter keeps you guessing and just waiting to find out what happens next. Just when I thought I figured things out, she threw in that curveball and I did not see that coming! The ending leaves just waiting to see what will happen next for all of them. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us readers!

Story line is good. The story jumped around some so it was a little hard to follow, but I wasn't mad at it! I need Dominic in my life.

I’m a sucker for a Mafia and boy did this book not disappoint!
It starts with Lana, Our FMC who has revelations come to light about her family. She ends up deep in the underbelly of the mafia world, when she stumbles across a certain 3 members of that world.
The boys have personalities of their own, but is all as it seems?
There are twists and turns in this story that will have you shouting from the rooftops. This author has a way of letting her story flow. The one thing I’d comment on is character development, but after that cliffhanger I’m more than 100% certain that it’ll come to fruition in book 2.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Drama, Sex and Betrayal! This book had me from the start. The story was really good and there were some intense moments in the book. There's a betrayal to end all betrayals and ends on revenge seeded in love, hate, anger and betrayal. Lana falls for not 2 but 3 men who are in the mafia. And there's a quick whirlwind of events that quickly spirals into chaos. A really great short and quick read with more to come! I can't wait!

Dark Temptation was very well written. It was a quick and easy read along with being a page turner. It was hard to set down the book and I cannot wait to find out what happens next in the world of Lana, Dominic, Alex, and Nathan!

Beautiful story line, I always love a good happy ending.
I loved how friends can sometimes turn in to lovers and protect each other but this was one of my favourites, I do not know why it was.

Trust is lethal in this dark romance, but more than that, it is treacherous, and every choice she makes she knows could be her last.
I loved the tropes that are in this book. Tropes like: Mafia, Super Hot MMCs, Smart/Intelligent/Witty FMC, Thriller, Mystery, Too Spicy, Clubs.
I am enthralled with Mafia-based books, and I love a great mafia man when they are well written and in my honest opinion I think that Stephanie Hoyle did an really great job of crafting a compelling and fast-paced Mafia-based story. I found Dark Temptation was a quick read that kept me reading and needing to know what was going to happen next.
The plot was full of mystery. It was thrilling and had just the right amount of spice. It may have had the ability to have been a bit more compelling if Stephanie had gone a bit deeper into the characters' backstories past just the initial introductions. I would have loved to know more about the characters and their back stories.
All the men in this story were so mysterious, and I had wished that I had wanted more character development into the men in this story so that we could understand their motivations and even their own secrets. The men have so much intrigue surrounding them that I have so many questions that I need to have answers about them. I hope that future books will give me the answers that I am seeking into their complexities. Maybe it will be a multi POV, and we will actually get to see into the minds of these men. Oh, the things that we would get the chance to learn. That I would love to read.
I can't wait to read what Lana Risso is going to do in the future and where she is going to go. We know that her journey is just beginning, and she is just taking her first steps. Now, it is time for us to see how she is going to navigate the dangerous world of the mafia and what she will do with the power she now commands.

This is a fairly short, faced paced mafia romance, that can be read very quickly as it only has 100 pages.

This was a pretty quick, captivating story. There's lots of spice and drama. Lana is a pretty strong fmc who is determined to find out who unalived her mother. Lana gets involved with Dominic and his two sons Nathan and Alex. I love Dominic's character. The ending of this story had me spiraling! I can't wait for what happens in the next book.

Ok so the beginning of the book was sorta confusing time frames but as the book went on it was making more sense. I didn’t think at first I was going to like the book bc of how confused I was but dear lord it was a good read! The fact that this was left on a cliffhanger makes me want so much more.
