Ireland Wright is done with love. She's emotionally unavailable and not interested in being attached. Men love that about her until she proves that they can't break her. Ireland crushes egos with her passive demeanor and thinks nothing of it. She's not jaded or bitter, she simply doesn't want to deal with loss. Because everything ends. She learned that fact when her parents died two years apart. Fear of the unknown grips her like a vice and takes her thoughts hostage. Between the stress of what could possibly be in store for her down the road, and a heartbreaking realization, Ireland refuses to bend or waiver.

Paris and her antics ruined it for everyone. Chicago couldn't care less that everyone around him is in love. He wants no parts of it. So when he meets Ireland, and she's on what he's on, Chicago is in heaven. Until he starts to realize, he just might like her more than she likes him.

Ireland is a borderline hypochondriac. If she has a headache, she thinks she’s going to drop dead from an aneurysm. If she has stomach pain, she automatically assumes she has a cancerous tumor. If her breasts are tender, she thinks she has breast cancer. If her periods are too heavy, she thinks she’s hemorrhaging. Ireland’s paranoia and anxiety were through the roof. Sis had a real fear of dying from a terminal illness that didn’t exist. Add to that, she’s emotionally detached and wants no parts of love and relationships. Ireland said she’s here for a good time, not a long time.

After Paris did him dirty, Chicago is done with all that love shyt. His words; not mine. He wasn’t tryin’ to lock down anybody’s daughter. He’ll take you to dinner, he’ll trick off a few grand on you, and he’ll definitely give you some that infamous Jacobs community peen. But, das it. As far as Chicago is concerned, love don’t live here anymore. When he meets Ireland at Ryan’s birthday party, he’s instantly enamored with her. Numbers are exchanged and a date is scheduled but, when Ireland informs Chicago she’s not lookin’ for anything serious, he takes that as a challenge. Apparently, any woman who’s not lookin’ for a relationship with the Chicago Jacobs is an anomaly that must be fixed.

I loved me some Chicago. He was just so laidback, easygoing, and unproblematic. This author has a way of makin’ you fall in love with her MMCs and this time was no different. We stan a strong willed female. Ireland stood her ground on not wanting to be in a relationship and nothing was gon’ change her mind. Not even the infamous Chicago Jacobs. She said what she meant and she meant what she said. I just wish she didn’t say it over, and over, and over throughout the entire book. Ma’am, we got it the first 50 times. 🤦🏾‍♀️ 🤦🏾‍♀️ 🤦🏾‍♀️ But, I digress. From the start of this series, Natisha has been notorious for droppin’ plot twists so that shyt with Simone shouldn’t’ve been a surprise. I mean, it’s Simone. When it comes to her, nothing is off the table. After reading some of the reviews, it appears I’m the only one who was rootin’ for this train wreck. I was so hopeful she would finally get her shyt together but, I guess she still hasn’t reached her unselfish mature woman era. Trash azz Simone is still in full effect. Chicago owes me nothin’. He gave me everything I was needed and then some. I can’t wait to see how Winter’s story plays out.

I was pulled into this read with the synopsis, not realizing it was connected to the triplet series that I did not read. However, I was quickly brought up to speed with the hot mess that was Chicago/Wise and their sons. I definitely need to go back and see how this all went down cause what in the entire hell? 👀🤯

Chicago and Ireland both have sworn off love and commitment for vastly different reasons. Although Chicago was still out doing his dirt, he decided to marry his girl, only to get burned. He now has no desire to be in a relationship. Love em, spend a few ends, and leave them behind is his new motto. Until he meets Ireland.

Ireland has experienced so much loss in her life that she fears doom is around every corner. She is paranoid whenever she feels a little ache, and thinks death is calling every day. She understands that she needs therapy, but pushes those thoughts to the back burner, as she continues with her life. Booked and busy is her name as she manages both her businesses and tries to keep her mind at bay. Then she meets Chicago. She admits he is handsome, sexy as hell, and paid. However, she also knows he has a roster, which makes him perfect for her.

They begin their friends with benefits arrangement on the same playing field, but soon Chicago's feelings begin to show. They both fight their growing feelings, but the heart wants what it wants.

Then here comes the ish. Really Chicago??? 😤 From the little that I've learned of Simone, I can't believe you spun the block with that heifer!! 🤬 That was really some ghetto mess you had going on. 👀 I did enjoy Chicago and Ireland finding common ground and love after all they have experienced. Now back to the beginning I guess to see how this craziness began.

Fire book as always, but like mentioned in the last book review, I feel like Simone needs her chance to tell her story, and I would like to see her get it right with Truce before it's too late.

Chicaaaaaaaago!!!!!!!

I just knew Chicago was going to have some depth to him. I always like him bit he just seemed so easygoing and unproblematic. And he is. But he's also everything that a man should be.
I can admit I was so wrong about Simone's goofy self. She really ain't worth the link that's in a belly button. Dang. I really had hope she was ready to grow up. I have a feeling, we haven't seen the last of her.
I really enjoyed both Chicago and Ireland together and really appreciate both of their growth. Super happy that Khadafi is still hanging with his brothers and fitting right in. Those triplets are hilarious and I love them all even more than I did before. I will never get enough of this family.

This was good!! I love this series, each book gets better & this one did not disappoint!

I really grew to like Chicago in this book! Him & Ireland were one and the same when it came to wanting to keep things casual & not get into a serious relationship. But with their vibe & chemistry I knew that wouldn’t last long!

I loved getting an update on the triplets & Kadifi & seeing the growth with them & their families!

Simone is just as trifling as ever 🙄 even Wise looks like a saint atp compared to her!

Can’t wait to read the next book & get more into Winter & Trinity’s story! 🥰

Being pretty far into this series, I pretty much knew what I was in for. I assumed that I was going to get a story about a man I've come to love to hate and I was going to enjoy him getting his happily ever after. Chicago is very similar to his son's and his big brother... they have never been very big on giving their attention to one woman. But they are very big on one woman having all their attention on them.

Chicago had pretty much sworn off on riding into the sunset with his perfect woman until he strikes up a situationship with Ireland. Ireland is on the same type of time as Chicago. She's definitely there for a good time and not a long time. That is until Chicago messed around and caught feelings.

Just like the books before, I had already formed an opinion about Chicago. I knew that he was going to continue to be someone's headache after he and Paris didn't work out. He was going to be the man that never grew up and saw the beauty in finding the right one. He was surprised when he met someone who was on the same exact time he was on...until he wanted more and she didn't. Ireland was a good match for Chicago because even though she had her issues she made him work the opportunity to be anything other than a situationship.

It's really easy to not like Chicago or Wise and not want them to see happiness with how much they have wronged their other partners. It's also really easy to flip that opinion and want all of the MMCs of the series to turn a new leaf and find their perfect match.

I have really enjoyed these development of these characters. I've recommended them to several people.

Ireland was a nice touch to Chicago and he definitely met his match. I knew hearing his side would be very interesting to say the least. Now Simone, please…. for the life of us all get something right. 😒🫠 I still kind of wanted her side but I think we got it with her trifling ass thoughts. 😒 I enjoyed this book just as well as the others in the series I can’t wait to read what’s next.

My random thoughts as I read

Them calling Paris a snake is laughable

I hate how Simone is the only nave parent when wise didn’t step either. Chicago didn’t know he was a dad but he had no busy with an underage Simone. Plus Wise held women (at least one woman) and forced sex. Yet Simone gets hate and they stand by their daddy.

How the hell is Simone fertile myrtle

And of course Ireland is pissed. Especially after being told she’s the only one getting it raw and another woman turns up pregnant for you. That’s in addition to her insecurities about being infertile

That I was drunk excuse. A grown man driving around drunk off his ass. One that have goons that could grab keys. FOH

I’m sorry these ILYs came out of no where. Not feeling Chicago and Ireland

“I have 4 kids and only raised 1.” Damn kadafi left out again.

I need Simone to get a story where someone loves her for her. She doesn’t necessarily need a baby with individual but the men are redeemed and she is not. I find it unfair. And I’m sick of Truce. Cry baby bitch

Overall I didn’t enjoy this story. I was feeling Ireland and Chicago connection. And everyone’s favorite past time is hate on Simone. Also the men. Can be hoes but let a woman cheat and she’s a snake. Miss me with that

I’m glad I waited for Chicago! He was my favorite of the men. Ireland had me pissed in the first half, but I saw she was trying to get better. I love that the brothers are all there for their little sister. Now Simone! I wanted to see her grow and own up to her actions, but in the end she still disappointed me. I hope we don’t ever have to see her again.

I’ll hold for Winter’s story, but please give us Trinity! She needs love too.

Loved them

Chicago was everything: brother, father, protector, and consummate playboy, and Ms. Ireland came and gave him a dose of his own medicine. Ireland was carrying so much, and her paranoia in regards to her health I could definitely understand. I'm happy she and Chicago found each other. I loved their chemistry and that they helped each other heal in a sense.

Edited:

So I read this book first, and then went back and read the entire series and then re-read this, and having done that, I have to take a star off this one. The odds of Chicago having anything to do with Simone in that way are slim to none. That storyline made no sense at all. It bothered me on the first read because it was off page, and then addressed in some kind of weird flash back, but now I really know it was lame. Also, I still liked Ireland's stance in the beginning, but her believing Chicago when he told her he only had unprotected sex with her, when she barely knew him was crazy. Lastly, what is with people just being good with driving drunk in this series? Sex is still A1.

I have to re-do my rankings now:

1) Truce
2) Chicago
3) Wise
4) Justice
5) Kadafi
6) Loyal...still dead last.

-----------

Really enjoyed! Chicago did that cover justice. Geezus! I loved Ireland as well. A strong heroine with a lick of sense. I rolled my eyes at her and her twin sister's names, but whatev. Well written, even if predictable in parts, and the sex? Yassuh!

Dull & Boring

I can honestly say this is my least favorite of the treacherous twins saga. I found this story to be a bit immmature and kiddy

What was the purpose if killing off the dad and Truce becoming I’ll?

When will Simone catch a break Yes, she did some messed up shut with her sons. However, Wise knew those boys existed and he wasn’t out looking for them at their early stages of life, but he is out on a pedestal and Simone continues to get treated badly; write her character in a more positive way.

This Man Here!!!

Your mind will tell you one thing but your heart is going to sing a different song! A heart knows what it wants and needs! Know that everyone has an opposite of them!, but finding them comes a dime a dozen! Let’s Chat!

With everyone falling in love, being in love and having children, Chicago said he was cool off it. Paris trifling self has my boy saying screw love 🤣! He was just going to be that hot it and quit it with occasional dinner🤣 or so he thought! See I’m going to put it out there, I’m loving me some Chicago 🥰! This man had my attention since I seen the cover - 🤣! Now that I said that, let’s keep going! See the way things changed once he met and had a sample of Ireland 🫣! All I’m going to say is he wasn’t ready to meet the female version of himself 🫣! Though he tried not to catch feelings, the heart knows what it wants! My guy tried his hardest to deny the obvious, but what he wasn’t about to do is beg. Then the emotions and heartbreak that happened had me in tears 😭! The unexpected was devastating! Now the part that had me 😡, was the slip up! Now Chicago knew better, but he owned it and for that I called down some! But the way the triplets clowned him had me 🤣! But his come back had me laughing so hard - “I’m really not in the mood for judgement from the mighty morphine triplet muhfuckin’ power rangers.”! The way I HOLLERED 🤣🤣🤣!!!

Now ya girl Ireland had issues 🫣 that are so common today - attachment & abandonment issues and being a hypochondriac! When I say I use to tell someone all the time they were a hypochondriac, people looked at me crazy🤣! I will not it use to work all my nerves 🫣! Anyway, my girl had some issue. The way she was adamant about not commenting - 🫣, but once she met my guy Chicago things changed! She truly tried to stand strong on her rule just having fun but again the heart has other plans 🥹. Now I will say that I agree with the deal breaker as this was a deep concern for her but how she handled it I can’t agree with! Communication will always be the key as assuming only make a fool out of you. How Ireland could deny or ignore the pressure Chicago was applying cause that man played not a single game when it came to who he wanted. Can we not forget how he came and approached her? I’m melting off a man come to me that way and proved all that he was speaking!

Then there was Simone again! She just can’t get right. It was the keep a 🥷🏽 baby for me 🤣!! She notnot understanding the type of time it was - an oops 🤣🤣!! Not only that, the victim roll she’s playing is for the birds. Like girl take accountability for your action. She so worried about everyone relationship when she needs to be focus on how she fixing hers! Truce is not entertaining her at all. However her last stunt sealed the deal and I hope it’s worth it. Cause babe I’m over here 🤣!

My Truce!! The way I was going crazy 🤣! Stopping playing with him!

Listen the connection with Ireland and Chicago was 🥰🥰! I love me some him 🥹! The was the author displayed the emotions in this read was 🔥! The emotions and feelings Chicago displayed 🤏🏾🤏🏾! The emotions that Ireland showed 🥰!! Loved together! Now I’m headed to see what the holidays had to offer them 🤣! I already know Justice about to cut up!

Never say never

The story ended abruptly with not even an epilogue. Fortunately, there is no insignificant cliffhanger. Instead the author mentions 2 more books to be written for the series where I guess Ireland and Chicago's story line will continue. Considering Kadafi basically only made an appearance, I am not certain.

The execution of what could have been a much better story line was felt. There are some real issues that the characters are dealing with such as grief, childhood traumas that can manifest into fears including commitment issues and Hypochondria. The highlight for me was the triplets’ hilarious responses to Chicago telling them of Simone’s pregnancy.

As I read, I kept waiting for the author to explain the origins of Ireland and Irish's names which never happened.

I was disappointed in Justin’s response to Ireland’s announcement and future but it was typical of many of similar circumstances. He has been in receipt of a continued friendship, love, and financial support only to rage.

I personally would have preferred that Trinity's book came next especially since Winter only made one appearance in this tale and Trinity made multiple appearance and referenced in the last chapter.

Throughout this series, I have stood with Truce's stance on Simone because somethings are simply unforgivable. Considering the love, support, and stability that she had growing up in a two parent household, her grimy, deceitfulness, selfishness, sense of entitlement, self-centeredness and enviousness are blaring choices that do not in the less evoke any empathy on my part. She wants to paint herself as a victim without taking responsibility for her choices and their consequences. The flashbacks of her and Chicago definitely added fuel to the flames of distrust and disdain for Simone. As an only child, I do resent the immediate presumption of only children being selfish that others cast upon that role because I am far from selfish and nor is Truce. She resented Truce and the love her parents extended to him. After abandoning him, she continued to reject him and mistreat him. Too often people forget that children do grow up and the power shifts to them as time ages everyone so you reap what you sowed.

Loyal and Justice unwavering support for Truce is beautiful.

Natisha Raynor really outdid herself with Chicago. This book had all the emotions—the heartbreak, the drama, and, of course, the steamy moments!

Chicago was still trying to heal from the wreckage of his relations with Paris. I mean, how could she do what she did with a stranger and then for it to turn out to be his Son, seriously! Sure, he wasn’t the most loyal while they were together, but she knew what it was, he gave her everything. And she just played in his face. The nerve! But Chicago didn’t let that keep him down for too long. With a life full of family—his sons, nephews, and new grandkids—he was trying to have a little fun and enjoy himself.

Enter Ireland. From the moment Chicago laid eyes on her, he was hooked. She was beautiful, sure, but it was her cool, nonchalant vibe that really drew him in. She wasn’t falling all over herself to get his attention, and that made the chase even more exciting for him. But let me tell you, Ireland had Chicago working! Her indifferent attitude didn’t budge, and it left him feeling like she wasn’t interested in anything beyond their steamy encounters.

The dynamic between Chicago and Ireland was so intriguing. He was trying to figure her out, and she wasn’t giving him much to work with. It was a different kind of game than Chicago was used to, and it was so fun to watch it unfold. You could feel his frustration, his curiosity, and even his vulnerability as he pursued her.

This book had me hooked from start to finish. It wasn’t just about the romance—though that was hot—it was about Chicago’s journey. He’s a man trying to move on from heartbreak, rediscover himself, and maybe even find something real again. The way Natisha wrote his character made me feel for him. Even when he was frustrated or unsure, you couldn’t help but root for him to figure it all out.

If you’re looking for a book with complex characters, a touch of family drama, and some sizzling romance, Chicago is the one. Natisha Raynor never misses, and this one is no exception.

Big Daddy Chicago

Whoever this man is on this cover art is the epitome of fine. My goodness. I wanted to read this book alone just from him looking so damn good!

Between Chicago and Wise, I honestly don’t know who I like more. Those two brothers exuded BDE and I was here for it. They are so much more grown and more mature than the Triplets. This book also confirmed to me that Kadafi was not needed. He just exists tbh. And Simone, Simone, Simone… one minute, I feel really bad for her, the next, I just don’t. For instance, she was a 15-year old child having three babies. Along with the guilt and the post-partum, that’s enough to make most grown women tap out. This was a literal child and it honestly feels like she didn’t have people in her corner. People like Truce called her a h*e, but it takes two people to make a baby.

He and the others never came at Chicago and Wise for constantly being with different women. The misogyny was honestly getting on my nerves, because this has been a constant theme throughout this series. The men can sleep with whomever they want, cheat on their spouses, but as soon as the woman does anything, it’s up. Simone was trash though for putting her daughter off on her father. She’s constantly making poor decision after poor decision and it’s past time that mama got some therapy.

Why

Three stars is a generous rating. Here we are again with a book that honestly could have been skipped.

I’m trying to understand why the author has such a strong disdain for Simone. If you’ve read this series in order and made it to this book, the amount of hatred directed toward her is excessive. Meanwhile, Chicago and Wise were womanizers from the ages of 17 and 18 well into their late 40s, yet their behavior is repeatedly glossed over.

I enjoyed the first two books and even Khadafi’s story, but Wise being paired with a young woman close to his daughter’s age (eeeyuuckk) and Chicago suddenly being infatuated with Chic (eye roll) completely irked me. Their relevance to the overall series should have been minimal—similar to how their parents were handled.

On the sidelines, we’re dealing with Truce and his trauma caused by Simone, which is understandable. However, while the other brothers attempt to be more considerate and forgiving toward Simone, Truce gives her hell yet seems to overlook the roles Chicago and Wise played in her downfall. Of course, someone in her position would spiral.

By the end of the story, the two “saviors”—Chicago and Wise—are still thriving, ready to ride off into the sunset with their “ghetto-made” families, while Simone remains the permanent villain.

Just like Wise found real love I’m glad that Chicago did too even though he was looking for love. Chicago met his match with Ireland and she really was a blow to his ego when she did a him on him. I enjoyed seeing him get in his feelings when he got ghosted, when he saw her out on a date, and when she didn’t act jealous. Love prevailed in the end with them expecting a little princess on the way. My heart really goes out to Truce and Serenity because Simone’s triflingness has affected them the worst because she was an absent parent in their lives and them actually knowing her. Loyal, Justice, and Kadafi didn’t meet Simone until they were adults but I’m sure they’re all on the same type of time that Truce is on since she abandoned Serenity. It was good that Truce cried and let that hate out because Simone doesn’t deserve his thoughts much less that much of his energy to hate her. I thought Simone was out of her “F” my kids phase but I was apparently most definitely wrong. I read the Kadafi book reviews where some stated he didn’t need a book but I totally disagree because I’m here and ready for Winter, Trinity, and Irish’s books whenever they drop.

Awesome

Chicago gave BDE from the beginning he didn't play no games Wit Ireland at all he was feeling her something serious But I also understand Ireland I'm just glad she stopped fighting her feelings for Chicago he was not letting up off her at first but she kept pushing him away because of fear But now she got her happy ending...

Now Simone was just doing to much you can't make a man fall for if he doesn't feel then he never will even years later and she's don't even have mother bone in her body I think she thought to herself maybe just maybe Chicago would give her a chance like he would forget how you did him and his brother wow Triplets and two were his and one belonged to his brother Wise crazy I heard it can happen but reading about was crazy ok ...

I don't believe in abortion either But in Simone case I understand she's not even a mom to Serenity left her with no care in the world yeah stay gone please don't bring her back when you

Write about Winter
And I would like to Read about Ireland twin sister to see what happens with her relationship,

I recommend this book

Uncle-Brother-Daddy🥴‼️

Foremost, the three decades of active hohoho 🎅🏽 tendencies is pathetic 🥴‼️I don’t know if Simone needs a hug, a therapist, a snickers bar or vacation but PLEASE, give the 🙀box a break!…get some self esteem!…a hobby?…a clue?, because your life is a metaphoric hamster wheel of events but you expect different results 😬🥴🤷🏾‍♀️‼️Thereafter, I have reservations about “Chicago” (3.75 ⭐️’s) both the book & the man🤔⁉️Will the anticipated birth of his daughter (Note: Well, the first of two daughters. Because I sincerely doubt if she terminated that pregnancy before she vanished; Also, Simone’s is a master manipulator & delusional. She’ll resurface late into the pregnancy or after the birth with complete amnesia.🤔) encourage or motivate him to be a committed family man & husband to Ireland? Meanwhile, like Truce Serenity’s emotional resolve is already being challenged. She’s been abandoned by Simone her only parent and the identity of her father hasn’t been revealed either (💭🤔). Will real or potential Uncle-Brother-Daddy of baby Serenity & victim of Simone please come forth ?

Oh, "Treacherous Twins," you unpredictable saga, how you've toyed with my heart! This latest installment is like sitting down for a blockbuster movie marathon, only to find out halfway that the power's gone out.

The ending it’s the literary equivalent of onions without a mint chaser—a bit too potent to handle.

Chicago’s tale got tangled in narrative knots. Don't get me wrong, I love Chicago and Ireland’s romance but Ireland's hypochondriac tendencies were a tad... irritationing. Honestly, how is Chicago managing? Jedi calmness or just true love?

But hey, I've found my spirit animal in Ireland's player ways, them being so hilariously relatable.

Now, the book cover is slick—real eye candy. But let's get real, where are these attractive men hiding? Certainly not on my daily route. I need to find, date, and maybe even put a ring on such a man.

Everyone warns that Simone is a maternal train wreck, yet Chicago looped back. Must be that legendary "pussy power,”?

In essence, while this installment humorously tripped over its own plot points, I'll be back for the next book. Fingers crossed for some answers and maybe a few more rays of the sunshine I’ve been yearning for. Until then, dear twins, stay treacherous!

3.75 ⭐️ I wanted Chicago's book to be better than it was. I liked the back and forth between him and Ireland and how they both "just" wanted to "hang." That whole no strings attached thing just wasn't working. I can understand fear, but Ireland had this crippling level of fear about everything and I found that was kind of distracting from the good in her life. Ireland was a boss, but the level of hypochondriac was crippling. I questioned Chicago's decision-making when it came to the situation with Simone, but I think she took advantage and was looking for a come up, but the end result was typical Simone and I'm glad Truce finally decided to let go of his anger. She continued to prove just how much of a deadbeat she really was. As of now, I think the loss in the book was unnecessary unless there will be a book about Trinity and it will somehow play into it. All in all, the book gives us a more in depth picture of Chicago, but I wanted more from him than Wise. I couldn't not read it because I've been on The Treacherous train since it started.

I know this isn't Simone's book but my 'review' is only based on her.
I understand what she did was horrible and she continued to make bad decisions but could no one in this family recognize that she needed a therapist and encourage her to see one. She never grew past 13 years old and carried that mentality into a lot of grown up decisions and I'm not saying it's an excuse but given what she experienced (I understand it was all choices she made and not necessarily traumatizing for most) she clearly needed professional assistance. She wasn't my favourite character and I disagreed with a lot of what she did, but I think it was a missed opportunity for redemption. I'm not saying I wanted her to be a happy part of the family or even find love and I understand not everyone gets redemption but it was still sad that her character remained stagnant when to me the part for growth for her seemed so clear, especially when everyone else came into their own and became their better selves.

P.S. Just had to read the next book. So ignore all of the above. Lol
