This was such an enjoyable read! I loved how much personality we saw from both the main characters and who doesn’t love an enemies to lovers romance?! Seeing their relationship progress and how protective he was of her made it all the more sweet. Length was perfect as well, I love a good novella that actually hits all the markers! Will definitely be rereading this :)

Always enjoy this author as well and of course, those Orc's. :D This story features a princess who is expected to follow the path her father sets for her; in that she is to wed. Accepting the prince Frederich's proposal, she embarks on her journey, only to be ambushed. Drogath is an orc, a leader and it's him and his men that come to her rescue. This was a short read but an enjoyable read. :D

Fun enemies to more with an orc and a princess! Some miscommunications and secrets cause problems between Drogath and Amalia, but they have some good chemistry and show support for each other. These two have found that thing/person that brings that zest back into their lives. Enjoyed the read!

Amalia's father has denied the neighboring prince's request for her hand in marriage. Why her father or her horse don't like him, she doesn't know. Defying her father and going out for a ride, she's pursued by mercenaries and would have been taken, if not for the rescue by an enormous Orc.
Drogath has once again been denied an audience with King Henrik. His clan needs help with a battle coming from two different sides and he can't let them down. When he comes up on a young woman in distress, it's none other than the king's daughter, Amalia.
For rescuing her the king will have no choice but to hear him out. All he requests is an ally and a marriage.
Her father would never agree to it. After all, she's been raised to fear all Orcs. Too bad her body never got the memo. Passion explodes between them at the first touch and quickly leads to wild abandon.
He informs her father that his clan isn't responsible for the border attacks going on and that since his daughter has already pledged herself to him, in the eyes of his clan, they're mated. He wants her to have a ceremony for her people and her father's blessing and allegiance.
When her father gives both, she has no choice.
But doth the lady protest too much?
You bet she does and her body, as well as Drogath, are eager to let her know how "all in, she really is.
Secrets, lies and betrayal, for daring to touch his mate, They. Will. Parrish!
Great story and it's short enough to devour as well as heat up a chilly evening.

Amalia, the female human princess lead, knows she needs to marry but she’s hoping to marry the prince of the neighbouring country. When her father refuses, she takes herself riding in the countryside, against his orders.

Drogath, the male orc chieftain lead, has been waiting to speak to the human king, though he fears he won’t be granted an audience. When he hears pursuit in the forest, he intercepts those threatening the princess. Realising on meeting her that she’s his fated mate, he offers her marriage in exchange for assistance. Not realising that acceptance is binding, Amalia thinks to avoid marriage later, but her father is determined to honour her promise.

Who is the threat, if not the orcs? Can they keep both orcs and humans safe?

This novella is dual POV, well written and edited, and a sweet and steamy, human/orc, fairytale retelling romance. I enjoyed Drogath’s protectiveness and care, though I didn’t like the way he kept secrets. I enjoyed Amalia’s engagement and care for her people, though I found her a bit spoiled. I enjoyed their steamy intimate scenes and the instinctive rapport that carried from the bedroom to other milieus.

ARC REVIEW 📚

It's been a while since I've read a fairytale retelling, but this was such a cute story. The author did well in capturing the fantasy genre, and funny enough, it reminded me of the iconic franchise, Shrek. Perhaps it's due to the combination of a green monster man, a red-headed princess, and an untrustworthy prince. Moreover, despite it being a short story, the politics and worldbuilding were well fleshed out, including the romantic development between the main characters.

Speaking of the characters, Amalia was courageous, assertive, and independent, while Drogath was determined, loyal, and passionate. I quite liked how Amalia was able to hone her own strengths and assert herself in certain scenarios, in addition to how Drogath was protective of her and was able to bring out Amalia's character more. Finally, the spicy scenes were sweet yet hot.

I WOULD RECOMMEND IF 📒

If you're looking for a sweet and spicy orc romance novel with featured themes such as "enemies to lovers," "instalove," "marriage bargain," "forced proximity," "frog prince retelling," "virg!n FMC," "touch her and d!e," and "HEA," then this is the book for you.

- Enemies to lovers
- Accidental mating
- Fairytale retelling
- Instalove
- He falls first

For such a quick read, this was thoroughly enjoyable. I read it in one sitting. Princess Amalia is expected to get married, but her father rejects the Prince she chooses. Little does she know how lucky she was!

In a show of rebellion, Amalia goes for a ride. ditching her guards. She encounters a band of men who wish to capture her. Fortunately, Drogath, the Orc chieftain, is nearby and comes to her rescue. He proposes marriage in exchange for returning her safely to her home, which she readily agrees to. She has no plans marrying him and intends to hide in the castle. Her father, however, acknowledges the mating, much to Amalia's chagrin...

This story has a healthy dose of cayenne as well!

Princess Amalia is not like the princesses that we think of - uppitty and unapproachable. She is open, smart and adventurous which is how she end up mated to Drogath. Drogath saves Princess Amalia's life and in turn she promises him a kiss for his help and guarding her back to the castle. But what she doesn't know is that Drogath hides a secret, not a bad one but a secret none the less and he knows who in her midst is not there to help her but to hurt her father, the King, and take the kingdon.

We find int he story that looks can be deceiving and that although you trust those closet to you or those that show you kindness are not always the ones you should give your loyalty to. You may be truly surprised by those who have you back!!!!.

This was quite the entertaining and fun reading ride. I enjoy these fairy tale retellings and this one being done in a fantasy setting was perfect ;D Drogath is an orc looking for an audience with a neighbouring king and ends up finding Princess Amalia in a spot of trouble. He decides to offer her, who unexpectedly is his fated mate, aid if she'll marry him. She agrees, thinking to ditch him later, but nope, her daddy, the king, makes her honour her word. This really gives them some forced proximity time to let their chemistry bloom into so much more. I enjoyed that she was strong and caring of her people. He was also strong, protective and quite sweet. They really brought the heat and I really enjoyed following this one along :D

Princess Amalia (h) of Sherith always knew she would marry for duty, not love. But when she’s ambushed outside the castle, her unexpected savior is not a noble knight—it’s Drogath (H), a powerful orc warrior. And his price for rescuing her? Marriage. Forced into an unbreakable orc bond and a political alliance she never wanted, Amalia refuses to surrender. But Drogath is not the brute she expected—he’s strong, cunning, and dangerously tempting. As war looms and hidden enemies plot against them, Amalia must choose to run back to the life she knew or fight for the mate who has claimed her heart. A steamy fantasy orc romance retelling of The Frog Prince, exploring passion, political intrigue, and an orc who will stop at nothing to protect what’s his

Steamy fairytale retelling ...

I was delighted to learn that Sabrina Silvers had written another Orc book. This one is a fairytale retelling and was a delight to read.

All Princess Amalia wanted was to meet a handsome prince of her dreams and marry. The prince who she thought was perfect for her, ended up being not exactly as he seemed. In a show of defiance, Amalia hightailed away from the castle on her horse and ends up being rescued by an Orc. Not just any ordinary Orc. Drogath is hot, alpha male and powerful. He comes to her aid when she is threatened by enemies in the woods. They end up striking a bargain that involves marrying one another.

A fun, brassy but oh so spicy tale with adventure in abundance.

The male main character, Drogath is not just a protective orc alpha male; he also displays a kind demeanor, offering a refreshing depth that balances strength with gentleness. The female main character, Amalia starts off like most princess’ who don’t like to be told what to do. It's not your typical orc story, it is original with the exploration of the cultural rifts between humans and orcs, full of twists and turns, meaningful character arcs, hidden tidbits, emotional turmoil and growth as well as being a fated mates’ storyline which adds that extra layer of 'meant to be'. I found this book to be entertaining and spicy and everything you could want in a book about monster romance.

I was cackling with how fun and absurd this story was! It was very entertaining and smutty, but you also really got to know the two MCs and their life in a short amount of time. Well crafted story from the author, especially the world. We got to know quite a bit about the setting despite the novella length and it was done really well.

Big insta love and forced proximity vibes between our orc and princess, but there was also a bit of protective sweetness and the whole "touch her and die" scenario, which was fun. Definitely recommend if any of that appeals to you.

This was a really interesting and enjoyable Retelling of The Frog Prince with an Orc instead of a character turned into a frog. I thought this story did a good job of capturing this fairy tale and all the characters were well written. I enjoyed getting to know both Princess Amalia & Drogath and seeing how their relationship developed. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

If you love spicy, monster retelling of fairy tales, this is for you!

While I can't remember all the details for Frog Prince, I loved how this story wove classic fairytale features into a monster romance. Amalia is a human princess set to inherit her father's throne. She is courted by many human princes but ultimately ends up mated to an orc who saved her in the forest. Much like in the original fairytale, her father enforces that she needs to keep her promise to this orc and formally recognizes their union. All while believing he is just an orc commoner, not knowing his true station.

This is a good retelling of the Frog Prince fairytale. Rescued by Drogath, an Orc, Princess Amalia finds herself married to him instead of the man she thought she would marry. As they get to know each other they find that their chemistry and passion is strong, but not all is as it seems and with betrayal surrounding them, secrets are revealed causing problems between Drogath and Amalia. A short, hot and steamy retelling of a classic that is well written, witty and will certainly keep you hooked from beginning to end.

This is such a fun story! Drogath is one of the most intense heroes I've read in a long time. He is powerful and dominant, but he is also patient and caring. Princess Amalia is his perfect match. Although she was rather sheltered, she showed what she was made of by accepting her future and embracing it. I loved the twist in the story and the fact that Amalia was able to stand up for herself and have her happily-ever-after.

The Princess and the Orc is part of the Cursed Kingdoms Series. It is A Frog Prince retelling.

Amalia is quite bratty for the majority of the book. She is immature about a lot of things, but by the time the book ends she does seem to mature a bit. Drogath really does have his hands full with her.

There is some intrigue and deception involved with the storyline, but it flowed well and was interesting.

“The Princess and the Orc” by Sabrina Silvers

-A fun, spicy fairytale romance with an entitled princess and the honorable orc who tames her. Amalia’s journey from bratty royal to a worthy queen is engaging, while Drogath is the perfect mix of strength and honor. Intrigue, deception, and sizzling chemistry make for an exciting read. A saucy, adventurous romance with heart!.

Romantic Frog Prince retelling

An enjoyable feel-good romance, with sweet characters, chemistry, love, tension, trust, and a HEA.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Plot - 4/5
Characters - 4/5
Spice - 🌶️🌶️

This was a hoot of a book and follows a Princess, Amelia, as she is more or less conned into an arranged marriage with an Orc. While she originally holds strong prejudices against the race due to falsehoods told at court, she quickly becomes infatuated with her big, strong husband and is ready to climb him like a tree.

It follows a fairly predictable and straightforward plot line but I found myself enjoying every page. Drogath is a whole lotta orc and just wants to protect his new mate. I received an ARC from Booksprout at the strong recommendation of a Monsters and Knotting FB Page I joined and I am stoked I did.

This book was so good, while short and spicy, the plot was laid out nicely and it was entertaining and kept my attention even when I had a 3 year old nuggled and snoring on my lap.Loved that the king was suspicious of her first choice.I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.

Kingdom Changes

This retelling was not exact, which was a good thing as the differences made it intriguing and entertaining. Amalia and the Orc leader Drogath are fated mates, which added to the complexity and suspense of this story. I enjoyed the plot and characters, and it was unique and unexpected.

A little story with lots of heat.

I give it a 3.5 star rating. The beginning is interesting, then you meet the orc and it is all about the princess learning to summit and very little else. You then jump into a battle. The end is her partaking in the orc mating ritual. Was well written and a fun, simple read. I would have liked more story.
