So, this is a smutty taboo story with two idiot brothers in love.
It’s a good story if you like these kind of books, and it’s a debut, for this it’s really good.
The build-up was pretty well done. I got a nice feeling for the characters.
The sex scenes packed a filthy punch.

This is Nova's debut book & I'd been seeing this rec'd so I finally read it as my 1st book on our beautiful rainbow month 🙌. It spices things up, heh. I easily read it within 2hrs.

Aaron (22) & Dean (28) are brothers, recent roomies & consumed by eachother. This artistic duo is like an "old married couple". Despite being "aware" of eachother 🤭, it's Aaron getting accidentally high that their desires finally collide!

It's a short, erotica. Spicy, entertaining with minimal character development. The jealousy & care is sweet. The desperation & realisations omfg 😂. Dean had been resistant to Aaron's advances so it was strange he did a 180 so soon lol, gave insta vibes 😅.

Aaron's a total filthy baby for Dean's care, food 🤭 & special brownies. There's also "little peen" rep 🙌. Good bestie 😁. The parents tease is unexpected but Dean you dirty fucker 🤣. I'm glad we got the future glimpse in epilogue 🥰. They so real for wanting to express love, not just in secret.

For the TABOO MM romance readers out there, this one was brothers with age gap, needy/possessive MC, size difference and interesting k!nks. It centres around Aaron who accidentally eats the space cakes his brother Dean had baked for his date which only sends Aaron further into his down ward spiral. His first stage being chatty, which doesn’t bode well when you’re harbouring inappropriate feelings for your older brother. Things only continue to take a turn when his second stage is h*rny followed by paranoia. Needless to say the brothers both wake up the following day with plenty to work through together!

Okay so first I was very intrigued but eventually I got kind of bored and didn’t finish the book. I stopped at 75%, which I rarely ever give up on a book but I was expecting taboo erotica and by 75% in there was still nothing going on, all we saw was a little bit of caressing and some masturbation. The overall plot and storyline had a lot of potential, the characters were great but for a novella that’s suppose to be erotica, I expect some sexy times and I expect them a lot earlier than we were getting it. And yeah, I probably gave up shortly before it becomes erotica (and maybe someday I’ll finish it and I’ll come back and update my review) but for now, I’m bored and no longer intrigued. But if you like taboo with more plot than action and a buildup then you will love this book. I think I just went in with one expectation of it and got something else. So I guess don’t go in with the expectation that it’s all dirty taboo erotica of brothers. What I read was well written and the characters were great and well developed.

OMG! The literal laughing that I did while reading this taboo novella by Nova Burns.

Edibles is book one of the Brother Lovers novella series and as the name of the series entails, it's a taboo series of brothers who love each other. If brother lovers aren't something that you're into, skip this series.

Aaron and Dean are brothers who live together and happen to be close by nature. They have created kind of a comfy routine of hanging out and snuggling on a Friday night. When Dean tells Aaron (Az to Dean) that he has plans with a friend on short notice, Aaron gets a little (okay A LOT) jealous and a little hurt that Dean is leaving him alone on a Friday night. While Dean is getting ready for his date, Az helps himself to the fresh baked brownies that Dean made not knowing that they were "special" brownies. Needless to say, Dean's plan for the night changes and he ends up staying home to help his baby brother through the wild ride. Little did Dean know, his weird feelings toward Az aren't as one-sided as he may have thought.

●They’re codependent af too, as they should be. i’m talking peeing while the other’s in the shower level, but it works cuz they’re just that close. They spend way too much time together… and love it.

The way he keeps referring to himself as my big brother and me, his baby bro, is so sick. I know we’re both feeding off the fact we’re related.

●They're both pining for each other but won't make a move. Hence the "space brownies" lmao. Sure helps alleviate the tension. It's a stepping stone they use to actually get together and do stuff later.

●Is it bad that i liked Aaron/Az more and didn’t like Dean as much? idk why. They clearly love e/o, but him planning to go fuck someone else and hurting Az in the process was probably why. Don't come at me i'm being petty. 😬

●Lovely reading Az's pov as he was high as a kite. That he was babbling could be understood. And there's gaps in his pov for when his mind goes blank.

●They did that thing! That thing where they relocate to a new place where no one knows them!

●Things only really kick off towards the end once they’re fully on board, but until then not much spice at first. It’s mostly just mutual pining, Az tripping, them sharing few kisses and mutual jack off. But mostly Az doing stuff solo in front of Dean.

Between the cute pet names, the spicy chemistry, and Aaron and Dean's love for each other, this was such a fun read. I couldn't stop smiling! And it was plenty dirty too! These two are both adorable and so hot together. I'd say this is medium to high spice, and it's also really sweet.

I loved Avery, the non-binary side character!
