I'm sorry but a heroine who swears like a sailor on a stormy cruise is my personal pet peeve.
A stupid, unlikeable heroine is another one.
The instacrap and banging like two horny dogs in chapter 1-2 when they didn't even know each other's names?
Yeah, that's another one on the list of things i hate more than Monday mornings.
The ott hero who apparently thought with his dick and was soooo in lurve after one night of banging, didn't help things, either.
And I wanted to continue but when the idiotic h got fired for not doing what she was asked to by her boss (she was supposed to stay at the party but left with the H to fuck) and she had a hissy fit that the boss had the audacity to fire her ass?
I srsly had enough.
I need to at least tolerate the heroine in order to continue.
And I'm in no mood for hate reading tonight.

Sweet & Spicy With A Morally Grey Twist

This is a fun and spicy book that was quick and easy to read. I like that Gorri dove more into spicy smut and a possessive MMC than anything truly twisted. It’s dark enough to be fun and interesting for me but still light enough to be an easy read.

I have to say I'm really confused and curious how this has so many 4/5 stars.. it had potential but it fell super flat for me. It had pages upon pages of his brothers beauty.. was so strange.. the way she wrote the dialogue it made them like they were from the 1800s regal era lol that's the best I can describe it. And for the love of baby jesus.. contractions are not the enemy. It's ok to use them. I was also perturbed about him wanting to make her jealous by dancing with another woman.. I thought that was uncalled for.. or the fact that he went almost 2 weeks without talking to her.. and then she's like 🤷♀️ ok I love you!! Unfortunately I don't think I'll continue with the series.

80% of the time when there is 'a dark coloured cover with a half naked guy who looks like he fell into a pool of gold glitter oil and gold lettering' I already know that it is going to be fun. This book sure belonged in those 80%. While reading I didn't put the book down once. And how could I, if I'm given the strong and possessive -but sexy- guy who gets obsessed with the lovely kind curvy girl, and am blessed with lots of other tropes that I really like?

This is perfect for all my morally grey book boyfriend lovers (it even says so in the dedication!)
But give me a dark billionaire romance where the MMC gets compared to Khal Drogo and I’m sold (even if it’s only his height) but I am so obsessed with Adrik it’s not even funny!

I started and finished this book within a few hours.. to say I enjoyed it would be an understatement.
This book was short, spicy, and action packed - everything you can ask for. I loved Adriks character. Moody, overprotective, and the Dark Wolf. I loved that Sofia didn’t give in to him right away and made him fight for her.
I cannot wait for the next book about Marat!

This was a “ new to me author”
It felt like I was reading fan fiction. Like you picked your two favorite characters and made them have sex the majority of the time.
It was insta - lust. She’s curvy so of course she has no idea why a ripped god like him would choose her.
He’s a Russian whose dad was low level Bratva. His parents died and he and his younger brother became homeless, as kids. He raised his brother and they both made their way to America. How or when, I’m not sure. Are they legal citizens? No idea. But somehow, 2 homeless teen boys grew up to become billionaire ex-Bratva business owners.
She is mostly forgettable. She’s curvy and writes romances. Though, nothing has been published before they got together. He offers to force a company to publish them for her, and she gets offended by that. Her pen name is changed to reflect his nickname for you and a variation of “wolf”, because he’s the Dark Wolf, as he likes to remind us countless times.
I feel like her pen name was meant to be more important than it is, because we see the FMCs of other books reading it. Like it’s one thread that they all can bond over or something.
At one point he has to take an overseas business trip. She texts him for several days and he never texts or calls her back. It’s not like he physically can’t, because later you find out he could, he just didn’t know what to say, so he chose not to. Random thought. How about “I’m fine.” “I miss you.” “I’ll be back in X days”. Something. You don’t have to spout poetry, but something.
Then, when he does come back, all is easily forgiven. It’s frustrating.
There were 2 epilogues, which was unnecessary. The first one was just a way to shove in another sex scene. Remove it and you’ve lost nothing of the story, such as it was. The second one was fine, though. That should have been the only epilogue. However, I guess the author thinks both characters need their own.
The book is meh. It’s whatever. It was a way to say I read something that day. Overall, it’s pretty forgettable. I will probably only remember this book if it shows up on social media

First off can we just appreciate this cover…my goshhh that man’s arms are something else…and that stare…🤤🫠 ANYWHO, I enjoyed this. It was short and spicy, but still had some plot twists. Adrik is the definition an intense, broody, and overprotective MMC. And I loved the fact that Sofia was a curvy girl. I am definitely looking forward to book two with Adriks brother, Marat.

This is my first time reading this author and I was pleasantly surprised.
In HIS WILD OBSESSION, we meet Adrik Volkov, Bad Guy trying to go straight. He has for the most part, but he still walks the line from time to time and will resort to violence and shady means to get what he wants.
At a soiree, he meets damsel in distress, Sofia. Saves from a sticky situation and they end up spending a steamy, memorable night together. Problem is, come daylight, she disappears without him knowing so much as her name. Adrik then begins an all-out pursuit to locate this mystery woman to continue what she ignited in him.
This story was funny, sweet, and mildly dark but nothing that will leave you traumatized. The MMC is morally gray so, you should know that he doesn't play fair when it comes to pursuing Sofia. Adrik and Sofia were perfect as they were total opposites: Adrik is rich and commanding and Sofia is his exact opposite, poor and easy-going. I loved how the FMC is plus-sized, but it wasn't made the focus of the story, nor was it mentioned numerous times. What I loved most is that Adrik loved it!
Ends in a satisfying HEA with a low third act drama that won't make you lose your mind. This was a good read if you want something with drama but not too dark where it brings down the mood of the story or blocks the romance. Adrik's brother, Marat provided comic relief and I cannot wait to read this story. This was a good one and I eagerly await the next!

Is there anything this author cannot write?! i’ve only read her PNR work, so I don’t know if this is her first venture into contemporary romance but if it is,WOW!! Adrik as known as the Dark Wolf. He is from Russia and is an ex-criminal, but has made a name for himself, and is now a billionaire. He sees Sofia at a party and wants her. Sofia is strong-willed and independent, and has faced many challenges in her short life. She agrees to Adrik’s indecent proposal and she is his for a month. Let the games and spicy interludes begin. Will Sofia be able to walk away with her heart intact at the end of the month?

🎧📚🎧 Ri Paige and Michael Norman Johnson did a great job bringing these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These two made a great narration team, both their voices and performance complimented each other. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. These two made a great narration team, both their voices and performance complimented each other. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. His Wild Obsession is a spicy hot billionaire story you will not be able to put down. Adrik is trying to take the straight and narrow path and get out of the hit business. But while he may be on that path, he is still walking on the very edge. Sofia is a down on her luck writer who must attend a gala with her boss, when she runs into the tall dark and handsome Adrik. Immediately sparks fly, and they decide to have one hot and steamy night, well at least she decided it would be one night. After one of the best…times she has had, she sneaks out his bed thinking she would never see him again. But she doesn’t know Adrik, and she doesn’t know what he is capable of. He tracks her down and makes her an offer, one month, live in his house and be in his bed at his every beck and call. And she just so happens to need a place to stay.
This book went from 0-100 in chapter one, and I loved it. The chemistry between these two almost made my phone combust. With Adrik being Russian he had the cute little nickname for her, Zaika Moya and it was just so sweet every time he said it. I love a bad guy trying to redeem himself but will go all out for the women he loved. This movie is not all murder and sex, there is some funny mixed in as well, mostly from Sofia and he quirky-ness. This Dark Romance has a Morally Grey Hero, Curvy Heroine, Age Gap. Definitely make sure to read the triggers as there are some heavy situations throughout.

This is a good, quick, spicy read. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved the relationship between Adrik and Sophie. I love Sophie, she fierce and a curvy baddie. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to ending!!

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Wild Billionaire series and ends in an HEA for the couple. Adrik and his younger brother, Marat, were very poor orphans from Russia. They used the Bratva to get a leg up and move to New York. Adrik was the leader of his brother and their friend, Josef. A one-night stand for Adrik starts him obsessing about Sofia. Sofia is an administrative assistant to a family at odds with Adrik and his company. She is also a writer. Adrik catches her at a hard time in her life, offering to aid her family if she’d live with him for 1 month. I found it humorous that later in the book she has an epiphany that she is acting as a whore. She is sleeping with Adrik and letting him buy her things and spend money to help her family. Sofia seems bright. Her late in the book realization seemed out of place.
>I did love the character of Adrik. He wasn’t model gorgeous. He was tall, muscled and Alpha. He is very possessive of Sofia to the point of almost killing his beloved brother. Of course, Sofia falls in love with Adrik. He takes a bit longer. A threat against Sofia reveals the love Adrik feels for her.

Not really my jam
This book just did not capture my attention. I’m not sure if it’s because mafia stories aren’t my jam, or because this storyline and writing is just not that good. Quite frankly, these billionaire stories usually have me rolling my eyes.
Two Russian mafia brothers come to America and turn their enterprise legit. Or as legit as these types can be. I’m sure there’s some good old fashioned strong arming, but that’s not even the problem here. I found these characters to be two dimensional and I couldn’t connect to them at all. Even the steam between our main couple, Adrik and Sofia, left me feeling, meh. I didn’t feel any chemistry between these two at all. I don’t mind a story without a real conflict, where the entire story is the development of the relationship itself. But if you’re going to do that, you’d better have 2 interesting characters with a backstory that worms it’s way into your heart and a connection between these two that jumps off the page. I just didn’t feel that here. Not gonna lie though, I found the dude on the cover to be panty melting. Too bad that didn’t translate to the story.
I won’t be continuing with the series, and recommend that if you have other books on your TBR pile, you go looking there first.

Adrik and Sofia
The narrators did a good job both narrators had soft relaxing voices. The male narrator reminded me of Richard Dreyfuss when he told the story in Stand by Me. I do have one complaint each narrator took the chapter of the characters male narrator did Adrik and Female narrator did Sofia so when for example Adrik talks depending on who's turn it is had a different voice for him.
I did enjoy the story. Adrik is a Russian Mafioso who is trying to go legit but still runs into people who think they could take advantage of it. Sofia is attending a party her boss is throwing and makes her attend in case she needs her. Someone tries to manhandle her and Adrik comes to her rescue. What was suppose to be one night turns into Adrik wanting more and tracks her down with a position. Sofia rejects him at first but more and more things get piled onto her plate that has her accepting. Love how possessive and dominate he is. Then Sofia's Nona makes an appearance and she is so loveable.

Quick, spicy and bingeable read! Adrik and Sophie’s relationship and banter had me head over heels.
Listen, when the MMC is compared to Khal Drogo, you read the book. The morally grey billionaire also… BEGS y’all. I was a puddle during that scene! Adrik is tall, broody and protective as heck, but seeing him melt for Sophie? Swoon worthy, everybody.
Sophie is this curvy, sassy woman. She’s no push over and I absolutely loved how she was still able to hold her own against mister dark and broody. The banter and their chemistry is perfection — especially with two characters that ultimately complement each other.
The entire novel is written well and was a pleasure to read. If you like insta-lust with a mafia touch, this one is for you. Gorri quickly got me — hook, line and sinker. Each page was one page closer to their HEA I needed to read, and I ate!

1st book by this author. Adrik is a billionaire who's the "Dark Wolf" and he refers to himself umpteen times that way. By the eighth time I was bored. I know......Sofia is "curvy" and obviously has no self esteem because how could such an attractive rich guy be attracted to her. He offers her one month to be his and he will pay off her family debt and then some. She's torn because she's not a "paid whore" but agrees to the terms anyway. Insta love with each other after having mind blowing sex and she falls first. Not really much personal information between the two of them and they seem to communicate in bed. He's gone for 2 weeks and doesn't answer one text from her and then he's back and everything is forgiven because he loves her. Not that great of a story and a little boring. I liked the secondary characters (Marat & Josef) but not interested enough to read the rest of the series

This isn’t an original plot, that is, it’s been told often. A powerful Russian multibillionaire who brings fear in every room he enters…who doesn’t date or do relationships, who unintentionally becomes obsessed with a young woman who is nobody. He becomes enthralled with her and concludes the only way to get her out of his system is to hook up with her for a month. Unfortunately he discovers too late that his obsession only grows stronger… there’s nothing he can do to prevent it. What was worse is Sofia becomes necessary to his existence. He vows to never let her go, and therein lies the real beginning of the story. This author presents the story with charisma and extra flair and originality that is surpassed by other authors. This author lays out each phase and scene with such well timed precision, you’ll be invested from the first page. Literally hooked. Extremely well told and completely addicting. Highly recommended.
