Safe Haven is about to vaccinate all of the rage-infected members, but they may have waited too long. All of the victims are in stage two, and it doesn’t work on everyone. For some of those people, being cured may cost them a child. Waiting was a huge gamble that won’t pay off for everyone.

Seafood has become a mainstay of the camp’s survival. With only a week of food left, the fishing crews are forced to venture farther and farther from the island to get a good haul. With so many crews and ships going out, the odds are high on them running into problems.

Neil has found what he believes is the next point on the origin map. Eager to confirm it, Neil takes a bet that may violate the two-month screwup window Angela gave him after the flood. If he wins the bet, he may still be removed. If he loses the bet, the next point on the map may never be discovered.

Roulette is a wild ride that celebrates the 25th book in the Life After War series!

📚 Remember back in May when I said I was starting a 25-book series? Well… I just finished book 25 in the Life After War series by Angela White! 😅

Book 26 comes out in March, and there’s still plenty of story left to tell. Honestly, I don’t think Angela White is anywhere near done — and I’m not sad about that one bit.

For those who aren’t familiar, Life After War is a post-apocalyptic, action-fantasy romance set in a world destroyed by nuclear war. The survivors face everything from starvation and slavers to ghosts, magic users, and a centuries-old government conspiracy that caused the apocalypse in the first place.

The series follows a wide mix of characters — a witch, a doctor, a storm tracker, a famous actor, and soldiers — all struggling to survive while rebuilding society and facing their own demons. It’s got a little bit of everything: danger, survival, supernatural elements, and even some star-crossed romance to keep things interesting.

The cast of characters is huge, with subplots to the subplots — it can be a lot sometimes, but that’s part of its charm. I fell hard for this series a few years ago and actually paused my reading to let new books come out. Totally worth it.

Do I love every single thing about it? Nope. I get that life’s rough in an apocalypse, but jeez louise, these people are always going THROUGH IT. 😆 My opinions on the characters change constantly — some for the better, some not so much. And there are definitely moments when I want to jump into the book and ask “The Boss” (aka Angie White) what on earth she was thinking!
But that’s part of what makes it great — it makes you think, question, and feel. The more I read, the more I wish my own descendant power would pop (yeah, I’m not explaining that one… read the books 😈😉).

One of the coolest things about this series — and part of why it’s so long — is that it’s written in real time. When one book ends, the next one picks up immediately, no skipping months or years. That’s pretty unique these days and really keeps the flow alive.

⭐ Final Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars — and counting until March!

Angela Does It Again

As always, this book had everything you could think of from action, adventure, mystery, fantasy, and more. Even after twenty-five books, Angela still keeps it fresh and manages to keep readers on the edge of their seats. By the time you're done, you'll be marking your calendars and eagerly awaiting the next installment. If you haven't read the L.A.W. (Life After War) series yet, today is a great day to start!

review of Life After War Book 25 by Angela White

Well I’m running out of adjectives to describe this wonderful series. I have been on board since the first book and still claim it as my favorite series. I still am amazed at the variety of characters good and bad, that the author comes up with. I can’t wait for book 26 to see what’s next

After 25 books we are definitely more in the realm of fantasy vs end of the world distopian survival. Still really enjoy the story and its continued plot twists. Full five because given a short memory boost I still remember each book and why it was needed for the series arc.

I love this series!

Waiting for the conclusion is hard, but all the in between makes it worth it! Keep it up. Still waiting for the Mitchell reunion.
