The universe aligned two kindred souls to heal one another without knowing how much they needed each other. Kirby Love is a twenty-five-year-old vagrant, surviving the gritty streets of Los Angeles. The streets are her home until Timothy Fugotti Jr. sees her in the back alley hosing down her body. He offers Kirby a kind gesture to help her out by offering her a job at his club, Curvy Obsessions. Little does Timothy know, Kirby has already accepted her fate and does not want to be saved. Timothy becomes smitten with Kirby while still battling with his burning soul that’s full of resentment. Fugotti Enterprise has become a burden that Timothy no longer wants to carry. Brokenhearted from love, guilty of things he cannot erase, Timothy finds himself spiraling out of control.
This story is about to two loss souls helping each other heal. Tip was Kirby’s knight in shining armor and she was his shoulder to cry on. They did not judge either other and really helped each other heal. I loved Tip’s generosity and him finally speaking up about his struggles.
Rick and his mother were beyond weird.
Rita was a huge part of Tip’s life so I wish we were given more. Besides her being a mean spirit, what was her motive because I feel like Ma Dukes hinted at something then it was left alone.
— There were SO grammatical errors. — The literary pov switching within a chapter really took away from the story. — The tense of when the story was taking place changing within a chapter really through me off. I’m not speaking of a flashback either, I mean literally within a paragraph. Sometimes it was present tense other times it was past. — It felt rushed & unfinished.
“Curvy Obsessions” was another thought-provoking and unique story from Masterpiece. I found myself intrigued with Kirby’s story because it was a reminder of how grief and guilt can impact lives. And Tip was battling his own demons as well, but he was so interested in helping Kirby. At first glance, the story had an opposites attract theme; by the end, it was a tale of two broken souls who healed together. It was raw, heartbreaking, and heartfelt. I spent a lot of time working in the shelter system, and Kirby’s story was so realistic at times, for me. I admired her strength, and love looked good on her. I loved this book.
The MMC and FMC were likable people dealing with trauma to the best of their abilities. Their way of coping wasn’t the best, which made for a page turning read. The author did a great job of depicting homelessness, sibling bonds, friendships, guilt, and a particular fetish. The ending was satisfying.
This Was A Really Good Read. I Loved Seeing Tip And Kirby’s Healing/Growth With Each Chapter. Grief And Depression A Hard MF’er To Handle/Overcome But They Both Fought A Good Fight. Masterpiece Made It All Flow Perfectly. I Cried, Laughed And Screamed But I Ain’t Stop Reading Lol
Whewwww... NTMA did that! Yall betta get into this! Tippyyyy... babbbyyy he can fold me like a pretzel... lmbo! Kirby is my kinda gurl. Trauma, guilt, and life mistakes can always be overcome & the Ricks of the world will try to keep you there! As long as we have 'Tips & Kirby's' coming through to save us, we can do it! An unexpected love did this for them!
The character development. The growth and maturity of the characters. The different issues that the book tackles. She really did her thing with this book!
i enjoyed this book. it’s the finale of the bow down series and this time, we get to see the complexity of tip’s character. i feel like some characters like rick were unnecessary. it was disgusting to read his parts and it felt like the author just needed to add some serial rapxst thing in the story. i just didn’t like the character at all. i also felt sometimes, tip’s character was unrealistic. maybe because he’s super emotional and impulsive. all the same, lovely read.
Anybody who says they don't/didn't like this book is a hater! I loved it! I'm a hopeless romantic anyway, so I loved Tippy's and Kirby's story. I especially loved how Kirby got her vice back and stood u to Rita. Authoress Masterpiece, keep doing your thang!
Let me tell you, the last couple of books I’ve read are address mental illness and I’m here for it! Mental illness is so real now days! I’m here for it all!!
Tip was truly struggles with life and what it had to offer by drinking and poppin pills. From losing his mom, losing his first love, to feeling to need to fit in with his family, his father acceptance and feeling the need complete with his brother Dinero, he was lost! His and Rita relationship was very toxic and then to find out the baby wasn’t his, he just didn’t know what to do. However the energy of Kirby whom was homeless by choice, changed that for him. She gave him purpose, friendship and love to change his entire way of thinking, viewing life and the love he needed.
Now Kirby, my girl was holding on to some series trauma and chose to be homeless due it. She suffered from a suicide attempt, to killing her parent, and losing her brother. Let’s not forget she went mute and didn’t talk and if she did it wasn’t much. That’s a lot for anyone along with what Tip has been through! However, she was able to let her guards down! It may have taken a lot for it to happen but Tip was able to succeed as letting up was not an option.
They both helped each other with the trauma they suffer and the depression that had them in a chokehold! With each other’s assistance they were able to open their heart, mind and soul to each other and was able to love on each other. I loved that for the both of them. They were the peace they needed.
Honestly have to say I loved this story for many reason and our girl Masterpiece did her thang with this.
This was such a good read. After reading about Tip in Dinero and Beamer's book, he was well deserving of his own book so readers could get a better understanding of him. I'm glad as a reader, I was able to understand better why he was so different than Dinero and Beamer. While he appeared to be nothing but a f**k up in the other books, it turns out that he was destroying himself mentally trying to fulfill something he thought he had to do when it came to the family business, as well as a silent competition he was in with his brother all along. Aside from that, he was genuinely hurting and mourning the number one person who knew him the most. So the only thing he knew to do was find a way to numb himself from his reality.
Tip was a really good, caring, and giving man, and it was meant for him and Kirby to cross paths. Her situation was sad and unfortunate, and that led her to purposely suffer because she thought that was the punishment she deserved. I'm happy she and Tip were able to help and heal each other, and I'm happy she got the answers and closure she needed from an actual family member to move forward.
Rita wasn't sh*t, and she got everything she deserved. Tip was painted as the bad guy when it came to her in the other books. Meanwhile, she's a liar, manipulator, and just an all-around nasty and mean person. So I felt absolutely no remorse for her, and her karma came back swinging heavy.
Nonetheless, this was a great wrap-up for the Fugotti family.
This was a very beautifully written book!!!…This book took me on an emotional ride, tears on some parts and a smiling heart on other parts!!!… I had to truly sit and reflect after reading this book!!!…You truly never know the depth of someone’s pain until you reach them in a way nobody else has tried to reach them!!!…
You never know the circumstances that leads a person to live the way they do or the pain and punishment they inflict on themselves!!!…
Rita was truly a selfish person and moved as if she didn’t understand why her life was spiraling and the means in which she was suffering!!!…
My heart broke for Kirby because the weight of her loss was truly to the depth of her soul and 1 person, a broken person himself saw her, he wanted to help put the life pieces of her back together even though he was missing pieces!!!…The meeting with her brother was the piece she needed!!!…Now her healing begins!!!…
Tip showed that he could live in the comfort of his memories of his mom, but they were not comfort enough to keep him from spiraling as he did!!!…His ability to change other ppl’s circumstances was part of his healing journey along with the presence of Kirby!!!… I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!…
I really did love this story. It was so sweet, while also touching on some very sensitive topics, from homelessness, mental health, domestic abuse, etc. Tip was never my favorite character in this series before this book. I didn’t like how he treated Rita. Yes, knowing what we know now, Rita wasn’t sh*t, either, but Tip in those first few books was awful. So it was very satisfying seeing how he got his mental straight. Authoress did a great job with contrasting Tip’s personality vs. Dinero’s and Beamer’s, and she also did a great job with focusing on mental health, for both MCs. Tip and Kirby helped each other heal. Very satisfying story. And that church scene had me screaming!
However, this was also Authoress' worst book regarding grammar, punctuation, tense, and editing in general. At some points, it almost took me out of the reading experience.
I just didn't think I could love the fugati man any more than I already did. Tip might be my second favorite character there's something about this story that is so painfully beautifulwith tip and Kirby. I felt like their souls were so connectedSo beautiful just to see them both be each other's peace and each other's healing. Rick is a nasty n***** and I was so happy when he died because I felt sick dude was deranged like f****** psychopath. I was happy lolly was getting help and I was sad of how it came to be in everything she had to Go Through. I was happy when tip had a conversation with his father and his brothers about him not really being a person who could kill without suffering from some type of repercussion mentally he was the softer spirit and I love that Kirby was there to make him feel safe in vice versa.
Okay first off, fuck Rita and the set she claims!! She hurt my Tippy bad!! (Shoutout to Beam Dukes for handling her🤣🦯🦷) Tip has been my favorite through this whole series with his unstable ass. Now diving into his backstory, i love him even more. Tippy!! And Kirby giving him his own nickname and she didn’t even know it!!🥹🥹😍 Tip is such a sweetheart and him singing does it for me every time!! When he was singing with his brothers before and after they went to handle Rick and Lollie…dawg, i was in tears!! TIPPYYYYYY!!! Omg after he and Kirby opened up to each other, i didnt want this story to end!! They were EVERYTHING together!! And the tattoo!! Ahhhhhh! I love you Tippy!! 🤣🫶🏾 10 STARS!! Tippy is my favorite!! 🥹 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The trigger warnings definitely need to be updated. Not only is there mentions of suicide, there’s also discussion of rape, sexual assault, detailed scenes of domestic violence, and murder.
This story has so much potential. I liked the characters and felt like the story could be good. But there were so many unnecessary POV changes. There was no need to get in everyone’s heads or to see what was going on in the background. I think that there were things that were just glazed past and parts of the story that probably should have been fleshed out a bit more. Definitely would be great with some proof reading and a bit more editing.
Tip found Kirby at the right time. Kirby took a chance with Tip at the right time. Both individuals battling with hurt, some caused by themselves and some caused by others. The growth of Kirby was beautiful to watch. The friendship to relationship that blossomed between Tip & Kirby was refreshing. Tip’s growth and acceptance of his past shortcomings and the acknowledgment that although his mom is no longer present, he can honor her by getting himself together. Two broken lost souls found one another & healed in the most beautiful way!
Two lost souls finding each other when it mattered the most to them! Tip and Kirby had a strong connection to one another! I really lo e how Tip was so patient with Kirby. He understood that she seeded time to trust him, though he was an opened book. I loved the family dynamics. the Tip family was loving, caring, and kind! Friends like Lolli are a dime a dozen. Regardless of what she went through, she stayed true to Kirby!
Those who needed to be handled were dealt with in aanner that fit their nasty ways!
Great ending, but I want to see more of Tip and Kirby
Even at your lowest point…what you need finds you!
In this sexy urban tale- As the crew returns, story focuses on Tip and Kirby arrives on the scene, with all her complexities. As characters battle their own demons and old habits pull them back, we notice their survival techniques and though situations may appear very different sometimes our battles are similar… I enjoyed the depth, the plot twists & the way these characters evolved as their demons were exposed & they seek clarity & healing
I swear Tip is a trip but I’m glad he found Kirby and left that hoe Rita alone because she was toxic AF. I’m happy be was able to get better but I think he should have gotten professionally help at least for the drug use. I’m happy Kirby changed her outlook and reacquainted with her brother she needed that forgiveness so she could finally forgive herself. Rick was sick AF and his momma was no better over there violating my girl HIPPA telling him her personal business and trauma. Glad Dinero got that man up outta there. I loved the Fugotti brothers and all the stories.
Tip is a man struggling with addiction, grief, and betrayal. Caught in the toxic pull of his ex, loss of his mother, and the high expectations from his family, Tip finds himself spiraling out of control. When he meets Kirby, a homeless woman battling her own troubled soul, he is moved to help her. As Tip helps Kirby leave the streets behind, they form a deep connection based on mutual healing and acceptance. Together, they navigate their pasts, finding love and redemption in each other.
Authoress Masterpiece has done it again. This book was above my expectations. The trauma bonding they unknowingly shared was what each needed in order to begin their healing, and because of their first meeting something drew them together they just didn't realize at first. So happy Tippy found the strength to say no to that no good gold digging ex she was full of lies and when he spilled her secret about the real baby daddy she knew all hopes of using him again was gone. Great read
"Curvy Obsessions" got a little deep with the homeless storyline, grief and depression. Kirby was in a world of guilt following a tragic accident which left her feeling that she was worthy of nothing, not even a roof over her head. Tip was engulfed in pain since the passing of his beloved mother, while also in an extremely toxic relationship, feeling his only solace was through numbing his pain with pills and alcohol. Fate put these two with each other to heal their suffering.
This was the best out of the series between Dinero, Beamer & Tip.
This book gave me all the feels. I laughed, at Tips antics, cried with both Tips & Kirby's struggles, felt compassion with his inner demons & how his father and Beam Dukes came through for him. His brotherhood was solid & them rallying around him made me proud. But that public hair scene nearly took me out. I secretly wondered if that truth was to be seen. The Bush need to be trimmed! In all I would and will recommend this book.
This book was soooooo amazingly written I can’t even begin to explain. The story flowed with so many twists and turns but most of all touching real life issues for Soo many people. You never know where true love will present itself, or with whom you will experience it with but know it will show up when you least expect it but right when you need it…. Absolutely loved this story. Keep writing and I’ll definitely keep reading!!!!! This is definitely a MASTERPIECE🎉🍾💜
I've read so many romance novels that they are all starting to sound the same. This was such a breath of fresh air. It was refreshing to come across a romance novel with atypical main characters. The story itself was chaotic, but in a good and captivating way. I love how vividly Masterpiece described everything and how she didn't shy away from going into great detail about anything. I couldn't get through this book fast enough; that's how much I enjoyed it. I couldn't tear myself away from it.
I was so excited to read Tip’s story! I ended up loving his crazy tail and his singing in Dinero’s story, and he has not changed in that aspect. I love how he cared for Kirby and also wanted to make a greater impact in the lives of others like her. Much like Tip, Kirby has been struggling with loss and death. I enjoyed every bit of their story of helping each other grow and heal.
Absolutely amazing story. It takes a lot to admit to the things that hurt and scare you. Tip and his Mom realizing that the murder game wasn’t for him earlier on was so deep to me. Yet, his need to make his Dad proud propelled him into darkness. Kirby running from a huge mistake allowed her to be treated any old kind of way. Especially by men who meant her no good. I love that Tip and Kirby saved one another. ~Krystena Hayes
This is the third book I have read by this author and I'm hooked...I loved this whole series and I love how each brother is their own person && the found women who fit them perfectly...I'm glad in the in Tippy got everything he DESERVED as well as Kirby they were meant to be soul mates && im glad Rita trifling self got what she deserved too overal the book was amazing looking forward to reading more by this author.
Tip was such a mess in other books that I wasn’t sure where this one might go. It was nice to read about a man who wasn’t 100% alpha in an urban novel.
Masterpiece’s storylines are top tier. The homeless story line was unexpected and really nasty if you didn’t see the vision.
I often wonder why there are so many little people in Masterpiece’s books. 🤔
I was so glad to truly get to know Tippy! He is the sweetest, most caring and protective man! Kirby is an absolutely great match for him. And I adore her. Their love journey unfolded so beautifully.
This one was about healing, supporting your loved ones through their healing process and recovery. Masterpiece wrote this one like a therapy session for me!! Is it too much to ask for a part 2?
