I live in the southern US with my husband, kids, and a cat who rules the house. I spend way too much time on the computer, and only some of it is looking at cat videos, laughing at writing memes, or reading romance novels. I struggled with this book in the beginning. The characters and their personalities were a bit too much to me, especially when we were first introduced to them. They're all a little bit too over the top. The MFC is too "I'm not pretty or special" and the MMC was too perfect.

That said, it was smooth sailing once we got past the initial character descriptions. The chemistry between the two characters was phenomenal. The banter was adorable and the relationship felt real and organic. The story wrapped up a little bit too quickly for my liking. I found myself invested in their story and wanted to know what happened when they went back to real life!

Beyond all of that, the spice was 🔥🔥🔥. It's not the dirtiest, but it was fiery! I usually skim right through most spicy scenes in books, but this book kept my attention the whole time.

Overall, a solid read and I'd love to see more from these characters and their universe!

Jenny is plus sized her boyfriend says mean things about her size and treats her badly. So they end up breaking up. All her other ex boyfriends treated her badly to. Jenny starts liking her co worker Wade. There company they work for wants them to go to a conference. They drive down in the car. There was a really funny moment in the car that made Jenny embarrassed. Her cell phone was connected to the cars speakers and an audio she has on her phone made her embarrassed uncomfortable. They get to the hotel and find out they have conjoined rooms so they feel awkward but that’s when a budding romance starts. Wade treats Jenny like a queen. I like that Wade wants to show her that she’s perfect and beautiful. I really like the book and its characters. You really fall in love with its characters. I would recommend this book to friend

I wanted to thank Booksprout and the author Penny Heart for letting me read this book and review it thanks again.

This book is filled with spice, the growing relationship between two co-workers that have feelings for each other, and the strength of overcoming what your used to.

Jenny has had nothing but bad relationships that left her feeling like less and with little to no experience. She's constantly questioning everything about herself. So much so that when her co-worker makes it obvious of his intentions with her, she can't understand, 'Why her?' Believing everything that her ex said to be true, she is left with either learning to trust this co-worker, or ending things before they become serious.

Wade has had feelings for Jenny since she first started working with him. After planning a Christmas party together, Wade decided he was going to ask her out.

But when Jenny shows up with a unknown boyfriend, he decides against it.

Months later he over hears Jenny and her best friend Gloria talking about Jenny's breakup and what she needs to do in the future. Feeling hope that this is his chance, he tries to figure out how to get her to notice him.

But when a conference comes up and the person that was supposed to go with Wade can't, Jenny gets picked.

Will this conference give them the chance to explore more or will Jenny not be able to move on from her past and realize her worth?

Shout out to the geeky nerds! I absolutely LOVEDDDDD this book! As a plus size girly I felt a deep connection to the main female character Jenny. Oh, and Wade is definitely a new favorite book boyfriend!

I really enjoyed the witty banter between the main characters!! The book has me laughing out loud and snorting in some cases. I think the part I loved the most (aside from connecting with Jenny so well) was how it felt like events in the book could literally happen in real life.

Penny Heart did an incredible job of keeping me invested the whole way through, I finished it in less than a day! If that doesn't tell you how much I enjoyed it, I don't know what will!!

If you haven't read anything by Penny Heart before, definitely pick this one up!

"Fly my little butterfly; fly!"~Gloria

This book is what I would call a rom-com that melted into adult fanfare.😂😂 We have 2 complete opposites working at In Tech. Jenny Nelson is not your average size 0 gal but a full figured woman who has been with scum of the earth type guys. So, her self-confidence is shot!! Less than zero. I mean, there are moments in the story that it's there, but then, for some reason, it disappears. Too much over-thinking, I guess. That played throughout the story. Jenny is likable. Sweet. Thoughtful. She knows her worth in some respect, especially in the beginning, when talking with her wild best friend and coworker Gloria. Why didn't she realize that the worth of a woman isn't dependent on another person. In this instance, a man. She was all she needed. But to me, that mindset wasn't explored. I liked her best friend Gloria. She was outrageous and fun. She was very supportive.🥳🥳 Try dating a Geek. Not my words, just fyi. A Geek is all about pleasing the ladies.😝😝 Maybe, Wade?! He sooo likes you. Hint. Hint.😉 Jenny didn't believe it. And minutes later while still in the break room with Gloria, Jenny's past with men, her love of smut romances, and a potential venture to online dating was overheard by Jenny's coworker Wade Edison, IT Geek guy. Wade also secretly wants Jenny. But he's not your typical prince charming. He's short. Wears glasses. Has long hair. I don't think those are negative traits, but okay.💁🏼 He can't let Jenny start online dating. And thanks to nosy Gloria, an upcoming business excursion brings these two together. Road trip!!🚘⛽🏨🛎️

I'm all for opposites attract and there being only one room to share, with separate beds, and plenty of outrageous bantering that cracked me up.😄😄 But the humor faded, especially after Jenny went into her room to use a toy.🙉 Somehow, awkward Jenny, who's shy about talking about intimate things, goes and does that with this guy she's attracted to is in the main room of their suite? That didn't make sense. Yeah. He heard it all. The guy went insane in his thought process. Naughty dirty thoughts.😲😵‍💫🌶️ When that happened, the story changed. No more funny moments.

Wade is extremely patient with Jenny. He helped her find and bring her sexy back. But with every little sigh or look Wade gave, Jenny questioned him. She thought it was all negative. Which I understand, it's her past. But I wanted her to trust him... even a little bit. This short King gave her his all!!! OTT. Yes. Did he prove himself? 💯% But Jenny, to me, didn't really see it. Otherwise the ending reveal would have been reciprocated. There's plenty, and I mean plenty, of spice going on. Hanging out. Having fun. Eating. More spice.🔥🫦🔥 Snow. Which is cool. But talking about the emotional stuff, which I know can be fast, scary, and I don't mean right away; but after awhile, the conversation does have to go there. The story is cute, it's Valentine's Day!!💋, it got stuck in that hotel room a little longer than expected. I would have liked to have seen them being comfortable in public with each other a little more. Not only at the conference. I hope that makes sense. The characters are likable. Except for Jeff and Chard.👺 I adore the book cover. I do recommend it. Happy reading!!💖💖💖

ARC Reader- 5/5 stars
Mr. February is a funny romance that had some spice. It is a close proximity romance between coworkers, who undenounced to each other have feelings for each other. Jenny is asked to go to a technical conference with her nerdy co-worker Wade. He has had feelings for her for over a year, but did not act on them because he thought that she was in a relationship. Well, she may have been in one when the feelings began, but her jerk of an ex broke up with her a few months ago and she has been hesitant to jump back into the dating pool. Wade over hears a conversation between Jenny and another coworker, Grace, about Jenny’s lackluster love life. After this conversation, fate, or more like Grace, intervenes and they are both sent to a conference together. At this conference, Wade and Jenny act like they are dating to deter one of Wade’s exes. This fake dating does not take long to turn into a real relationship, as they are booked into a shared suite, due to a sold out conference.

Jenny has been unlucky in love, due to some past exes that have damaged her self-esteem. She does not think that she is sexy in a way that most men would think. She has some walls up, but Wade is ready to break them down and teach her a thing or two about love. He is just the right man to take the time to see that all her needs are taken care of.*wink, wink*

This close proximity, fake dating, almost single bed romance was a delight to read. There was enough spice, but not too much that it was distracting from the love story that was written. I am looking forward to where this series goes and all the new relationships that we will encounter over the course of this Holidays with the Geeks series.

I am a geek at heart so this book hit the spot. Jenny Nelson works at a tech company, In-Tech, with a bunch of computer geeks. She is the office manager. Though she has made the environment better, there are some that still look down on her for not being into computers. That does not include her best friend, Gloria, or a certain team lead that has a crush on her. Jenny is tasked to take the place of a programmer at a tech conference. She will go with Wade Edison. Wade just happens to be Jenny's secret crush. With her best friend pushing her, Jenny might just take a chance on a conference fling. Jenny has been belittled by every man she has dated. Is she ready to deal with that again? There is no way Wade or anyone, for that matter, could like her for who she is, right? This put together woman is a little overweight. The weight doesn't bother Jenny. She knows how to play up her assets. The weight has bothered her previous boyfriends and they have let her know it. Jenny's self-esteem is shot. Maybe this week will give her the boost that she needs.

Wade Edison is thrilled to be going to a conference with his crush. After a few embarrassing hiccups along the way, they find that they are booked in a two bedroom suite. No getting away from each other now. Wade is shy, but he has his best friend, Kyle, in his corner rooting him on. He cannot let the chance to be with Jenny slip through his hands. This weeklong whirlwind adventure with these two is amazing. They tend to lift each other up. Don't worry, Ms. Hart did not leave out the spice. When these two get together, it is off-the-charts hot. Can they stay together? Is this just a conference fling or will these two go the distance?

Jenny is a plus sized cutie with a poor track record of men. After settling for so long she finally gets pursued by Wade a hot geek who has been crushing on her since the started working together now that she is finally single he shoots his shot and the sparks are flying. Wade is hot, smart and respectful. Jenny is hot, sweet and a ray of sunshine. Her best friend Gloria is a riot and I love her openness and support she shows Jenny. Kyle is like the best wingman for Wade always helping him move past his own insecurities and finally getting Wade to ask Jenny out. Banter was top tier and they were such a cute and spicy couple. It was so sweet to see how both of them became more confident with each other.

This book is like a Chai Latte, it gives you warm fuzzy feelings and the spice is just perfect!!!

Mr February is book one in the spicy holidays with geeks series and it was a brilliant start to a new series. I just couldn't get enough of these characters, I was glued to the pages, never wanting to put it down for a second. It gave me all the feels. I was definitely captivated from start to finish. Who doesn't like a good curvy woman and geek romance

It's action packed, sweet and spicy. The characters and storyline where wonderfully written and created, I was engrossed with their life's.

Jenny and Wade are co-workers, they have a crush on each, but they don't know that the other person does. Timing isn't right most of the time and last time wade left it because as she was in a relationship, but that relationship was horrid and she ending up dumping the guy! Good for her! Wade over hears her telling someone at work and this could be his opportunity to get Jenny once and for all. But luck must really be on his side cause the co-worker that was ment to go to a conference with him can't and Jenny has Been asked to go in there place. This will give him the perfect opportunity as they will be in close proximity and spending alot of time together! Will wade get the girl?

Grab the book and find out. You won't be disappointed I sure wasn't !! Highly recommend!

Mr. February is part of the Spicy Holidays with the Geeks Series.

This was a very humour story. Jenny and Wade are both very awkward with each other and it leads to some funny and awkward moments with each other. However, it also leads to some miscommunication and hurt feelings. However, they both have good friends who are able to give them the push they need to take what they want and act on their feelings. This leads to some spicy shenanigans while on a work trip together.

Wade was a really stand up guy and is very respectful when it comes to his coworkers. He stands up for Jenny when someone is belittling her behind her back. I really appreciated his integrity.

Jenny is a sweetheart who doesn't think highly of herself as others have given her poor self esteem. It was nice to see her have such a great support system who pumped her up and made her more confident.

This was a great story. I loved the humour and the chemistry between Wade and Jenny. Definitely worth the read.

Wade has a crush on Jenny. He overhears that she's now single and is trying to decide to ask her out. Jenny's no good boyfriend breaks up with her but keeps trying to hookup with her. Her best friend Gloria tries to get her to use a hookup app but Jenny refuses, she's not a one night stand girl and not after comments made about her online in the past. Gloria tells Jenny she needs to find a geek, that they will make sure to satisfy her. When Jenny is picked to replace Kyle, Wade's best friend, at a conference Wade hopes to get to know her better. Gloria tells her Wade's the perfect geek for her and he is interested in her. Read this book to see what happens on the car trip to the conference, when they are booked in to a suite together, and when Wade's mind runs rampant after hearing buzzing from Jenny's bedroom.

Mr. February is Book 1 in the Spicy Holidays with the Geeks Book 1. This was a steamy, OTT, opposites-attract, curvy girl gets her sweet geek office romance. Jenny is a sweet, curvy, plus-size girl who has recently broken up with another loser boyfriend. She seems to date men who just put her down. Wade is a funny, sweet, smart, and nerdy IT guy. He has been crushing on her for over a year, but she had a boyfriend. When she ends up traveling with him last minute to a business conference, it's game on for Wade. Can he get the girl? This was such a fun read with snarky banter, hot chemistry, and a happy ending. I found myself laughing and swooning. Wade is totally a new book boyfriend. This was my first book by this author but not the last.

Penny Heart knows how to keep you wanting more.
What's a girl to do, a jerk of x's in her past and believing everything they said about her. Until a work trip changes that. Her best friend tells her to hook up with a geek. They know what their doing in every situation and are definitely known for paying attention to details. But fall for him, trust him that wasn't part of the plan until one geek shows her different, awakens something in her that she never knew existed thanks to all the males she's known in her life.
They say a daughter will fall for a guy like her father. But what if her father was the king of jerks. Then your boyfriends will be selfish jerks in every way. Then, find yourself a loving, caring geek who has had a crush on you for a long time. He will show you how wrong all those jerks were.

Such a sweet, romantic story with spice. Jenny is a FMC who happens to be plus size. She has baggage from her exes, so she is ready to swear off sex and relationships. Jenny's best friend, Gloria, is encouraging her to date again and to date a geek. Wade works in IT at their office and has had a crush on Jenny since she began at their office.
I really thought this story was sweet and romantic but showed someone who has been treated badly in the past being hesitant and fearful of being hurt again. Wade may be the perfect man! Very realistic and steamy. This is my third Penny Heart book, and I like her ability to blend steam, touching romance, and women overcoming their pasts.

This was a super cute funny spicy read. Wade had had feeling for Jenny since he spotted her but Jenny is fresh out of a relationship. And she doesn’t pick winners. She has a history of emotionally abusive exes. When they’re forced on a trip together, can Wade finally make his move? Can Jenny get over her insecurities to have happiness. Wade is your typical book boyfriend who says and does everything perfectly. Great character. There is a lot of spice. 🌶️🌶️🌶️ but a lot of it. It enhances the book. Great read.

Mr. February was so good! I can relate to the main character Jenny and her insecurities due to the past interactions with men in her life. Yet she is still a strong female that knows what she wants. Wade is a hidden gem and knows what he wants. It’s refreshing how he wants to make Jenny see herself the way he sees her and goes out of his way to combat all her negative feelings about herself and how men see her. This story gives me hope that maybe there is a Mr. February out there for me too. This packed with funny banter, a little angst, funny situations, and just enough spice.

Jenny and Wade are a breath of fresh air! I really enjoyed their interaction, their characters very down to earth and like regular people with their insecurities and their courage to move forward and find the love they deserve in life! The steamy scenes are perfect! Their conversations so perfect I would sure hope people talked to each other like that in reality! Life is so much happier and easygoing if we keep things simple, hones, open and straightforward! I recommend the book 100%.

I'll pass:
Unfortunately I had a hard time getting into this book and connecting with the characters. I found that certain points were repeated at nauseum, such as "I am overweight, I am not special enough". Whilst I wanted to feel sorry for Jenny, I ended up finding her annoying and Wyatt came across as too perfect and not authentic enough. I also found this book to be on the immature side but it may appeal more to younger readers.

This was a humorous story featuring Jenny and Wade, who are awkward with each other, leading to comedic and uncomfortable moments, as well as miscommunication and hurt feelings. Fortunately, they have supportive friends who encourage them to pursue their feelings, resulting in a steamy and romantic work trip together. Penny Heart skillfully crafts a sweet yet sizzling romance, infused with humor, making it a great read for Valentine's Day or any day of the year.

As the name and picture suggests, it's a bit of an office romance with a bubbly curvy lady. Wade has admired Jenny from afar but hasn't had the guts to get to know her properly. His buddy in the tech squad, Kyle can't to a tech conference and her boss randomly chooses her to go too. It leads to them randomly sharing a suite and finding the passion and guts to take it further. Good read

Mr. February was a nice office romcom. Jenny's weight has caused all kinds of blockages in her previous relationships and her self esteem is pretty low. Ward thinks he's too much of a geek to stand a chance with Jenny but they're both sent to represent the office for a work conference and bada bing bada boom. I absolutely loved Ward as a book boyfriend. He knew how to make consent hot and really sold the geeky spice. I would have given this book five stars but the weight issues of Jenny were pretty much everywhere but from the descriptions she was probably 10-15 lbs overweight. It was like making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I really struggled with this and what to rate it. I really wanted to love this book. The FMC was just too “I’m not good enough” through the entire book and it just got old. The MMC was too perfect with no flaws and too cookie cutter and walked on too many egg shells for my liking.

The concept was there but I had a really hard time reading it and finishing it. The beginning dragged on and the middle seemed like they didn’t have much chemistry or tension.

Just not for me I guess.

Wade and Jenny have been friends for months, both secretly wanting the other but have too many hang ups to admit their feelings. Until one road trip to a work conference finally sparks the fire between them. Jenny has many self doubting issues from exes and Wade is determined to help her get rid of all of them to become the confident woman he sees her as.

Sweet, no angst, work place romance. When Wade and Jenny are paired up for a conference their matchmaking best friends push them to explore each other in a light hearted but spicy way. Both have a history of relationships that aren't great, and Jenny in particular is working through those wounds (particularly how they relate to herself as a plus size woman).
