This was an exciting mafia romance! Little slow to start, but once it picked up I didn’t want to put it down

I found this author by chance and it is well worth a read if you enjoy mafia romance.
I love the cover, very eye-catching.
What I love is you never learn Mr Burlesconi's first name, respecting the fact he is in charge. However, I would have loved to learn Vittori's first name and the name of the woman at the end that captured Matthew.
I would also have loved more Jared POVs, but that is personal preference.
It flowed well with memorable characters. My favourite was definitely Vittori, I would love for him to have his own book!
The interactions and character growth worked well. The romance was lovely and the two main characters were great for each other.
Well worth a read and I would happily read more from this author!

I am terrible at writing reviews, but this book was one of the best books I have read in a while. It kept me guessing about the characters, and I didn't want to put it down. I had moments when I spoke out loud to myself things like, "No way, I wouldn't have guessed that." I love the characters and was a little sad when I came to the end of the book, like when your friend moves and you know you won't be hanging out with them anymore. Will be adding this author to my list of favorite authors.

Cleanup Crew was such an enjoyable read. I really like mafia romance, and I especially appreciated that this one is a clean romance while still delivering tension, chemistry, and intrigue.

The story follows Amazia, a sharp, relatable main character who gets pulled into a dangerous world of secrets, power, and unanswered questions. As the mystery unfolds, the romance builds naturally alongside it—full of banter, emotional moments, and a slow-burn connection. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down.

I enjoyed this book so much that I’ve already added more of this author’s books to my reading list. If you like mafia romance with strong characters, suspense, and a clean but compelling love story, this one is absolutely worth the read.

This is the first mafia romance I’ve read, and found it quite enjoyable!

I think what I enjoyed most was the character development and banter. The leading character, Amazia, is delightfully snarky, and only grows more so as she interacts with the supporting characters. The love interest, Jared, starts out cold, but quickly warms up, showing an endearing side that I just couldn’t get enough of.

The plot is fast-paced and well-crafted, making it a quick read. There were some funky formatting things that threw me off, although that could be my device. Either way, I devoured this book. If you like first-person mafia romances with minimal spice, you’ll probably devour it, too!

Thrilling rollercoaster ride of a book. Well-written mafia romance. So exciting, daring, dangerous and full of deliciously smouldering moments. I had such a good time reading this book that I completely lost track of time!

This was an off-genre choice for me, but I consumed it in two sittings. It was an engaging and entertaining read with quick banter and some unexpected turns that held my interest.
