The Firefighter Before Christmas

Rate this book
When Haley and Bobbie’s magic-hating mother realized that her daughters had inherited the magic of their ancestor, the Good Witch of Christmas, La Befana, she abandoned them at a small cottage on an island off the coast of Greenland, otherwise known as the portal to the North Pole where the girls’ grandfather lives. Despite growing up in a holiday paradise, the sisters decided to leave the realm of magic holiday folk behind and head to a small town in Maryland in search of a ‘normal’ life. However, once tragedy strikes, leaving Bobbie widowed and Haley disabled, Haley can no longer find it in herself to get into the holiday spirit.

Then she meets Oliver, a charming firefighter out on a candy cane delivery, and she is immediately enchanted. Oliver is determined to help this humbug find some holiday cheer, but Haley doesn’t know how to trust in love, especially when she’s spent her time in the mortal world keeping her true self a secret.

It might take a Christmas miracle for this witch to fan the flames of true love.

EEEE OMG THIS WAS SO CUTE.
When molly messaged that she was writing this I was ecstatic and was so excited to get an ARC of it.
This is everything I want. A hot firefighter romance with a magical twist. So perfect.
it's like Molly looked into my head and said ima write a book about your dream life.
I am the biggest fan of firefighters. Like. oml. Why must they be so attractive?? and as a shy girl myself, Haley and Oliver's meeting was what I wish would happen to me.
During the yearly candy cane delivery by firefighters, our FMC Haley and her niece Noelle are given two candy cames by this gorgeous man but the interaction is quickly over and no names are exchanged. Mr. Firefighter is determined to change that the next day and finds out who the beautiful lady is. full-on Prince Charming moment🤭
it's just so perfect. Just like these two love stories. They're so cute together and this was just sooo wholesome I was smiling from ear to ear. And I'll admit I did cry a few times. What can I say?🤷‍♀️this story captured my heart
I always love how Molly's main characters are so unique and diverse. Haley suffers from chronic rheumatoid arthritis from an accident and she carries trauma with her. It just makes these stories so much more relatable and meaningful being able to believe you can be loved too. Despite any differences.
I just adore it. Oh and I felt very validated when Haley put hot cocoa in her coffee. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Especially during the holidays/colder months of the year🤣
This Christmas story warmed my heart like the burning passion these two have for each other.

This novella was sweet and tender and perfect to begin or continue the holiday celebrations.
From the intricacies of ancient folklore to the lived in characters I found it to be perfectly cozy and fun.
It was like looking through a window getting a glimpse of the characters and their romance.

*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review*

Haley and her sister Bobbie were raised by their grandmother, La Befana, The Good Witch of Christmas, after her mother disowned them after discovering they could wield magic. Now older, they decide to leave The North Pole and move to a small town in Maryland. After a car accident that left Bobbie widowed, and Haley disabled, Haley finds it hard to find her Christmas spirit. Then she meets a hot firefighter named Oliver, who might be able bring her some holiday cheer.

I will say, and continue to say until the day I die... Molly can do no wrong in my eyes. Her writing is so much fun and I've loved everything she's written. I really like Haley as a main character. She had some great one liners and little jokes thrown in that made me giggle. Oliver and Haley's meet cute was just that - cute. He was so sweet, and I loved how he took the time to understand Haley's disability and how to best help her. I also liked Jiminy, Haley's boss at the taxidermy store. He was such a great side character, and I loved how much he cared about Haley and her well-being.

I will CONTINUE to scream from the rooftops about Molly and her writing, so please read her books so you too can scream about them.
