This was the most gross book I've ever read. It was a bad day to know English. I fear I need an excessive amount of bleach.

The plot? Full of holes. The spice? Delicious. The audiobook narrator? 1,000/10.
Definitely listen to the audiobook if you give this a try. If you’re just looking for a super quick, spicy novella, then yuppp—this definitely fulfills those requirements. Just enjoy the spice and don’t think too much about the actual plot or what’s happening.

I see this is part of a series for ‘Accidentally Kidnapping’ by various authors so I would think they all stand alone! Not sure if this is part of this author’s further mafia series or anything as this is my first book by them.
Basic plot:
Millie is done with her brother’s gambling issues – a therapy session at the family cottage and a detox is what he needs. But instead she kidnaps her brother’s mafia boss in the dark and doesn’t realize until they arrive...

Okay I LOVED this book. I listened on audio and just thought it was so fun and spicy and kind of light hearted but I also appreciated the hero’s dirty talk. I really liked it!
I think the set up of kidnapping your brother’s boss is just hilarious. I loved the close proximity of her bringing him to her family’s secluded cabin. I loved how obsessed he was. I enjoyed the narrators a lot. I was eating up the dirty talking hero. It was a fast and easy listen for me. I’ll be checking out more from the this series (different authors) and this author.
My complaint is there was soooo much fading to black and closed door implications. I would have preferred to have those on page. I’d rather have less and have it all detailed ;)
I really loved the narration. The duet style is definitely my fave. It just feels more natural and love hearing the voices from the actors the whole book.

This was a lighter dark mafia romance with great chemistry!! A kidnapping mixup, that ends up bringing the heat and romance. I loved both Finn & Millie! Definitely excited for more from this author!

It's definitely not her best work, especially with sentences like "Noah leaves his bar work job at this time, and I come and meet him and walk him home when I'm worried if I'm not there he'll decide to go to a casino instead". I mean is it his bar work or his bar job because bar work job just... is awful. Also, the fuck is "I love her with the energy of Irish grass". I am sorry but since when is grass of any kind lusty? It's friggen GRASS!
Aside from that, how do you accidentally grab the wrong guy? I mean he's your friggen brother! How do you not know who you are kidnapping?
And why are these fmcs alway, ALWAYS fucken blonde? No offense to those real life blondes out there, it's just annoying that authors seem to forget there are other hair colors out there. But no, it's always blonde hair, big blue eyes, etc.. You'd think if someone looked at a picture under the word innocent that would be all they see.
At about 40% I decided to put the book down since he's now kidnapped her and we all know he wants to fuck her and he'll get it because why wouldn't a normal woman want to be kidnapped and want him to fuck her right back. I swear these fmcs have zero brain cells, zero self worth, zero survival skills. They just get into situations like this and are always so eager to get fucked and I am so done with it.

I received the audio arc of this in exchange for an honest review. The audio was phenomenal and it was duet which is my favorite style of audio and should really be the only style going forward imho. I give the audio 4 stars. The story itself wasn’t entirely for me, it’s instalove which is my least favorite trope and at times I felt like the fmc was just not the brightest. Which may have been because of how young she was (it’s also age gap.) Im gonna be really honest some of this sounded so cringe and maybe is better only read in your head lol Thanks to the narrators, publisher, author and Netgalley for the advanced copy.

I really enjoyed the wild ride this book took me on. All Millie wants to do is help her brother, person napping and intervention is her plan, but her plan goes completely out the window when she mistakingly takes her brother's m@fia boss instead. Now he's got a plan. I love Finn for Millie. He is everything she didn't even know she needed. Evie knows how to write chemistry and this couple has it in spades! Highly recommend this book!.

What a fun, spicy little nugget this novella was! If you are into a super quick story line, full of dominance and a swoony Irish mob boss, then this is the book for you! I’m so glad that I was able to listen to this ALC, it was exactly the lighthearted, adorable book that I needed in the moment! Not to mention that two of my absolute favorite narrators performed it in duet! Connor Crais and Zara Hampton-Brown were fantastic! They made this book SO enjoyable from start to finish! Each of them were perfect for these characters! There is nothing that Hampton-Brown can’t narrate, she is INCREDIBLE! And of course I’m always here for a Crais performance. Did I mention that the mafia boss he narrates is Irish!? Yeah, the accent is *chef’s kiss*
Millie’s plan was to intervene on her brother’s behalf. His choices had taken a toll on each of their lives. Now that they were in dire straights, it was up to her to get him to shape up. Little did she know, that the man she cuffed and put in the back of her car was not in fact, her brother. He just so happened to be a mafia boss. The same mafia boss she may or may not be obsessed with. Once Millie realizes her mistake, it leaves her both dreading and anticipating what happens next. Because what she doesn’t know, is that that large, scary mafia man with the filthy mouth is exactly where he wants to be.

At this point, Evie Rose has officially become my personal purveyor of cinnamon-roll kingpins!
This novella is fast-paced, insta-lusty, insta-lovey, and absolutely ridiculous in the most delightful way. It’s funny. It’s cute. It scratches that oddly specific itch I get at 11 p.m. when I want something comforting, dramatic, and deeply unserious.
And here’s the thing:
Some books make you think.
Some books challenge you.
Some books objectively deserve the three- or four-star ratings you give them because you were critical and thoughtful.
And then there are books like this one.
Books that make NO logical sense why you love them… except that they make you happy.
So yes, maybe you’ll look at my rating and wonder why a novella about accidentally kidnapping a mafia boss of all things gets 3.5 stars from me. But the truth is simple:
It’s my comfort food.
And my rating reflects the joy it gave me not the strict rubric I save for five-star masterpieces.
The FMC is fun and chaotic in the best way. The kingpin is obsessed, sugary sweet, and absolutely my brand of nonsense. I’ve read this premise from another author before, and that one didn’t land for me—but this one? This one actually delivered the vibe.

Holy Hot Sauce! Where can I find a sexy Mafia Boss to kidnap? This spicy read is a quick novella full of he falls first, age gap spicefest that will have you panting and wanting your own happily ever after with a dominating cinnamon roll! The plot is short, fun and full of heat to entertain and delight your reading experience. The plot was well developed in spite of being a novella so the reading experience was even more fun! However, this is one that I definitely recommend listening to as the author has woven a wonderful story, but the narrators really bring the characters to life and make the steam steamier and the emotions more robust as well. I have to say that this is my first book from this author, but now she's on my must-read list and this series is going on my must listen list! I didn't realize this was part of a series until I had read it, but now I'll be going back and reading all the books in the series. I didn't feel I was missing anything by listening to this book out of order so I would recommend grabbing it and getting going if you are looking for a short steamy read!

And also the minute I saw Connor Crais name as the narrator I knew I had to sign up for the ALC. this is a fact paced story about a nurse named Milly who accidentally Kidnaps the Irish king Pin Finn. It of course helps that they’re both attracted to each-other and in a cottage for 7 days together. It is insta lovey, the spice is hot as hell and both Connor Crais and Zara Hampton-Brown do an amazing job narrating!!!! If you like your mmc’s possessive you will love Finn

My first read from Evie Rose. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC! First of all, 10/5⭐ for the narrators voices. The accent swept me off my feet right away. There was some depth to Millie but I crave more information on Finn. Since it is a short novel, the depth is acceptable just as the storyline. Spice is a 2.5/5 for me.
Definitely a quick, fluent, spicy read which makes me wonder about the author's other novels.

This ended up being a background listen, cause I kept tuning in and out of the audiobook, but the parts I listened to were entertaining!
A mafia romp, where the FMC accidentally kidnaps the Irish mafia boss, and then (because he’s been mooning over her) he kidnaps her right back. 🤣
The spice was good. (I did listen to those parts. 😆)

Quickie Review: Another fantastic read by Rose. What was supposed to be a much needed family intervention, quickly morphed into a kingpin kidnapping gone wrong. But did it really go wrong? When the Irish mafia kingpin plays along? Oh how this book was just what my little mafia loving, age gap pining heart needed. I couldn’t put it down. Quick, spicy read! 5 Stars.

This was a super quick and interesting read! The story follows Millie, who accidentally kidnaps her brother’s boss, Finn, and takes him to her family’s cottage for a week. Finn decides not to tell her the truth because he’s secretly in love with her (and stalks her regularly!?! major Wattpad vibes!). Millie had actually meant to kidnap her brother, Noah, to stage an intervention for his gambling addiction since their family is deep in debt, but she ends up taking Finn instead. Coincidentally, Finn had been on his way to tell her that he was already helping Noah. I wish the plot had been a bit more developed because the concept had potential. It definitely leaned into the cringe side, but the narration really carried it. The insta-love was intense, Millie sleeps in the same bed as Finn the first night, and by the end of the week he’s trying to get her pregnant, which was wild to me.
Audiobook Experience:
The duet narration was easily my favorite part! So thank you Connor Crais and Zara Hampton-Brown for the great narration. The accents were spot on and made the story more vivid and entertaining. Even when the plot got over-the-top, the voice actors kept it engaging. Pacing felt smooth throughout, and the audio really enhanced the humor and chaos of the story.

My lack of enjoyment of this audiobook is in no way attributed to the narrators, Connor Crais and Zara Hampton Brown. They did their roles very well.
As the blurb states, this book is definitely insta love. That is very literal. The fmc Millie "accidentally" kidnaps the mafia boss, mmc Finn when she meant to kidnap her brother as part of an intervention for his gambling addiction. Yes, she kidnaps the wrong man. With fuzzy handcuffs.
Turne out, Finn doesn't mind. He's in love with her. The notorious playboy hasn't been interested in ANY woman for over 7 years, as he's so in love with the girl he's barely spoken to. The virgin girl, of course.
I was hoping that there would be a few laughs in this book but I was mostly bored and doing lots of eye rolling. This one was just a complete miss for me.

Millie meant to save my brother. It was a perfect plan. Grab my brother from outside the club, take him to our family cabin near a cute fishing village far from London's vices, and force him to sort his life out. Except, when I open the back of my little car, it's not my brother in there but Finn the tall, dark, tattooed, Irish mafia boss he works for.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I enjoyed it so much. This fun, short but very spicy story checked all the boxes for me. The romance between Millie and Finn had me laughing out loud one moment and fanning myself the next. It is an instalove story, since they fall in love in the span of a week but Finn definitely had me falling for him within minutes. The banter between them is amazing, and the steamy scenes were so good. Finn definitely has a breed1ng k1nk... 😅. The narration by Connor Crais and Zara Hampton-Brown was fantastic. I think this is the perfect read for cleansing the palate.
