I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This collection was the perfect excuse to reread some of my favorite books by this author. And each one is reviewed below:
Lily’s Forest: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a freaking awesome pen-pal romance. I absolutely loved this story, it seems like Kat Baxter just knows how to top herself every single time. The story was shortish but still spanned over a few years and in the beginning it was primarily the letters exchanged between Lily and Forest. And I loved those letters, they expressed so much emotion from both characters and I really got to know them. Then they met and I cried. This just took me through so many emotions and I loved it. And I really can’t wait for Linc to get a story.
The Grumpy Recluse’s Wager: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a fantastic mountain man romance. It was yet another example of why I love this author’s stories, she is able to tell me a story in around 100 pages and make me feel like I got a full length story. She makes me love the characters and feel like I really know them.
This was Natalie and Linc’s story and it was both hilarious and steamy. They had a great meet cute and I just loved the meddling uncle. I just loved everything about the story.
The Grouchy Lumberjack’s Bride: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a fantastic marriage of convenience romance. It was a short, well written story that I just couldn’t put down. I loved Cain and Jade, their road to romance wasn’t the easiest but they got such a satisfying HEA.
The Gruff Loner’s Bargain: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was an amazing fake fiancé romance. It was a short, really well written story with a great pace. It had a lot of humor, great banter and wonderful steam. I loved that Brook very often just blurted out everything she was thinking, it made me laugh so many times. Landry was an unexpected book boyfriend but he was probably one of my favorites. I absolutely adored this story.
The Growly Outcast’s Promise: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a fantastic friends to lovers romance. It’s my absolute favorite trope and this was a great example as to why. The way Greyson and Annabelle were already connected in the story just gave it such a warmth and then Grey and his dirty mouth brought forth a completely different kind of warmth and I loved it.

Lily is a veterinarian and she started to write a soldier from her hometown while he was overseas. Forest and Lily wrote back and forth for the last two years and quickly fell in love with each other, but neither of them was brave enough to tell the other one. Now Forest is back home after being badly hurt and when Lily tries to visit him he rejects her. Because he is afraid to stay in the friend zone. But when her truck breaks down and he is her driver for the next day, things quickly change and now they are finally honest with each other😏 Instalove, pen-pal romance, age gap, sweet, steamy, fun to read, a bit frustrating 😉 and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍

Natalie is visiting her uncle who promised her his land when she would hack it in the wild. She is a wedding planner and is just a bit down on her luck. Lincoln has a herd of goats and when she meets this man and his goats, their whole life changes. The grumpy mountain man vowed to never fall in love, but Natalie will change all of that. Instalove, grumpy/sunshine, back and forth banter , sweet, steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍

Personally not my favorite story in this series, but second chance is always a tough one for me. Jade and Cain were childhood friends and were secretly in love with each other, but one "betrayal" of Jade shattered this friendship. Now five years later Cain needs help from Jade to get custody of his half sister. Now they finally get the chance to reconcile their relationship. Second chance, bittersweet, romantic and with a sweet HEA.
No mentioning of others while being apart, so I would say not safe. (My opinion).
The reason while he was angry and cut her out of his life was kind of ridiculous. Yes to be angry is ok but that was way over the top and Jade hadn't made him grovel enough.🙄

I love this multi book collection! Kat writes amazing curvy girls with spice and spunk! Each story is unique, with various characters introductions but they are all connected. The poker scenes are fun where the guys rag on eachother. 🥰 Includes 5 stories:
-Lily’s Forest: Forest is hurt to be friend zoned by his pen pal but when Lily tracks him down and needs help, he can’t turn her away. Will their hearts get broken again?
-The Grumpy Recluse’s Wager: Tricked into staying together while Natalie’s uncle’s house is fixed up, Linc tries to resist the gorgeous Natalie. Who will win the wager?
-The Grouchy Lumberjack’s Bride: Jade went around Cain to help his father years ago and Cain ended their friendship. Now he needs her help to get custody of his sister.
-The Gruff Loner’s Bargain: Brook thinks that there’s nothing worse than a cocky man. Except a cocky man who catches you checking him out. And Landry has piercings-ALL over! 🔥
-The Growly Outcast’s Promise: Annabelle needs a marriage and when she’s dumped an hour before her wedding she reaches out to her teenage best friend. I love Greyson “going from guest to groom.” This might be my favorite but Landry's piercings might be fighting for first. 🥰
Definitely a collection that I recommend. Each story is a standalone with one couple facing an issue but there are appearances by others in the series.

A complete collection of Kat’s hot bearded dirty mouthed Saddle Creek Mountain Men, yes please! Every story is well written and had me laughing, fanning myself and feeling all those feels. I never got bored as each story was quick but unique-making the set was perfectly binge worthy. If I had to choose a favorite it would be The Gruff Loner's Bargain. Brook’s tendency to blurt was hilarious and Landry was perfect book boyfriend material for me. Definitely recommend adding this collection to your bookshelf! Included: Lily's Forest

A very spicy read of 5 novellas with the men all being friends and the women that love them. The 5 women all are different personalities. Lily is on the spectrum and a large animal vet. She starts as Forest's pen pal while he is deployed. After he is wounded badly, he says he doesn't even want her friendship. Lucky for Forest she doesn't listen. It's a book of fun and love and HEA from the first story to the end.

This is the complete series of 5 books. Each book can be read as a standalone but I find it better to read them in order since we see recurring characters throughout the stories. These books have sexy bearded dirty talking mountain men and fierce feisty women. The humor in the pages made me laugh out loud. 5 stars
