Quincy Ryan was just handed custody of a son he didn’t know existed. Quincy knows he has to get over his shock and give Atlas the Christmas he deserves, but how? He needs a miracle.
Nicki Darren, failed actress, will take any job as Christmas approaches, even babysitting for a withdrawn, workaholic, single father. She lost her mom as a child, too, and hasn’t had a real Christmas since, so she identifies with four-year-old Atlas.
An advent calendar of activities soon has Nicki pulling Quincy out of the house to get a tree and ice skate with his son. She wants Quincy to open his heart to Atlas, but begins to fall for the Ryan men herself. It makes the countdown to her last day, Christmas Eve, bittersweet. His Christmas Miracle by Dani Collins is the fifth book in the Love in Montana series set in the charming town of Marietta, Montana during the holiday season. This one features something that I adore when it comes to romance, not only the couple involved bonding but the child in the relationship coming in first before the thoughts of developing a relationship.
As with other Marietta, Montana books there are glimpses into previous characters from the other books and glimpses into this small town and it's charm especially during the holiday season. Another lovely romance read in this somewhat magical town that always seems to end up with such heartwarming results.

A freebie that was more than worth the price! Great characterization. I loved the little boy. My son spent 7 years in speech therapy and it was nice to see it taken seriously here. I loved the relationship between the 4 characters in the book and how they grew together as a family. Also the way the advent calendar was used was inspiring. I wish I'd had that idea when my boys were litte.
Discovering that someone he'd dated for a few months has been killed in a car crash is bad enough but then finding out that she had your son and never told you about his existence is a bigger one -especially as you're now responsible for him! That's what happened to the introverted Quincy Ryan.
Nicole Darren was an aspiring actress who has been told by her agent that she's now too old for her to represent. Following that bombshell, Nicole decided a change of jobs was needed, so she trained as a nursing aide. Now she's left the sunny climes of California to return to wintry Montana and is hoping that Quincy will employ her to help look after both his diabetic father and his young son, Atlas.
As bubbly Nicole works with the family, she tries to help the new father and his son to connect by creating a very unique Advent calendar of activities and events, helping them connect with each other and introducing them to the community. Can she help them settle into their new home and lives together whilst still endeavouring to ignore the attraction she feels towards Quincy and the love she has for his young, traumatised son? Can Quincy open up to admit how he feels about her? Dow their love stand a chance?
This story has fantastically portrayed characters, it is so easy to relate to them and their actions. The calendar idea is a great way to bring the father and son together - and the author even includes links to enable readers to create their own at the end of the book. It is a great plot, with plenty of problems to be overcome along the way - including some very near to the end which are somewhat heart stopping moments where all seems to have gone wrong. This is a lovely story that I have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys escaping into very moving, heartwarming romances. I was gifted an ARC of this novel via NetGalley with no obligation or requirement to review it. This is my honest review after reading the ARC.
BONUS! Look for the link in the back of His Christmas Miracle to download an Advent calendar you can print, colour and assemble with your own little elves as you countd0wn to Christmas.
Note: Scorch takes place in Glacier Creek, not Marietta, but Piper and Bastian from His Blushing Bride make an appearance. Nicki in His Christmas Miracle is friends with Jacqui from Scorch.
I was not a fan of the hero. I normally love opposites attract, but this one the hero just wasn't my cup of tea. Quincey is quiet and keeps to himself and Nicki is the opposite. She is bubbly and loves to talk to people. Quincey though is a secret judger. He is quite judgmental and I understand the relationship he has with other people but he still just rubs me the wrong way. I really wasn't a fan.
"His Christmas Miracle" Love In Montana #5 is written by author Dani Collins. Published: October 27,2016 My Rating: 5 Stars
Dani Collins is so talented when it comes to heartwarming romance. "His Christmas Miracle" is sigh worthy. I hated the times life got in the way and I had to put my Kindle down. This book had all the "feels" I look for in the perfect romance. Not all of my five star rated have all the important emotions that make the story perfect to me. But this one did. It absolutely pulled at my heartstrings. Plus it had something extra that endeared it to me that much more. It was a Christmas theme.
There are two main characters; Quincy and Nikki. There are also two very important secondary characters, that without them I don't know if I would have loved this book a much; Atlas and Maury.
Quincy Ryan recently finds out he has a four year old son named Atlas. Atlas's mother died in an accident and Quincy was notified. To say he was distraught is an understatement. How could he have a son and never be told of his existence? Quincy is clueless. He does not know how to be a father. In fact, he never planned to have children. Quincy moves from Pennsylvania with his aging, diabetic father and Atlas. He hopes the slower pace of life will help with raising his son. A son who unfortunately is a stranger. Quincy had loving parents however he was constantly made fun of during his younger school years. He had a speech impediment and his peers were relentless in their ridicule. That caused him to grow up closed off from the world. He didn't like crowds and he was less than social. He was used to be alone and closed off. So when his life is turned upside down, unexpectedly, he is more than a little dismayed. Quincy will hire a caretaker/nanny/housekeeper to help with his father and Atlas. He didn't know what else to do. Especially since Atlas was having some issues with speech articulation.
Nikki Darren is on her way back to Montana for a fresh start. After failing in obtaining an acting career, she goes back to school. Nikki decided she wanted to be a caregiver to the elderly. But answers Quincy's add to at least make some money over the holidays. The job is only temporary but she needs it all the same.
Nikki and Quincy are complete opposites despite their growing attraction toward each other. Where Quincy is quiet, unsocial and closed off, Nikki is loud with a bubbly personality and very social. Fortunately their differences balance each other.
I absolutely adored Atlas! What a cutie! He was adorable. At only four years old, he was trying to adjust to his new life. A life without his mother. And a new life in a new town with his father and grandfather. Nikki also became a very important aspect of Atlas's life. Atlas was truly a main focus of this story. I found myself invested in not only an HEA for Quincy and Nikki, but for Atlas as well. Nikki was a great character and through her patience and kindness, she was elemental in helping Atlas adjust to his new life. As well as Quincy.
The romance between Quincy and Nikki was very slow. Instead of being frustrated by that, I found it perfectly appropriate given what they were feeling; their very realistic reservations. Their growing love was believable. It was so sweet and when they finally decided they wanted a future together, I cried tears of joy. Literally I did. Atlas and Maury loved Nikki just as much as Quincy. They became the perfect family. The epilogue was precious.
I am so glad I got to read this book. Especially during this time of year. "His Christmas Miracle" was definitely that, a miracle of love and healing with a beautiful happily ever after.
This is a story with great characters and a good plot without the betrayal and secrets that seem to dominate so much of the romance genre lately. Nobody here makes air-head decisions or acts like a bimbo. The H and h are very different people, personality-wise, but they are not mean or stupid people.
Let’s try to keep the review nice and short because the book was nice and short and I don’t want to take anything away from it. This was a free book at some point in November and I’m not sure if it still is. But I was looking to grab some easy Christmas reads since I’m currently over 200% on my GoodReads goal. (Not bragging. My secret? Do a super low goal you know you can achieve no matter what.) This book is about a man who has a short relationship with a woman and doesn’t hear from her again until a few years later when her lawyer lets him know that she died in a car accident and has left in his care a son he’s never met. A DNA test later and he’s a brand new dad. Trying to figure out how to be a father while Christmas is going on in the background is hard enough. But his own father has health issues to contend with as well. In comes nurse Nikki to help this poor man figure it all out.
I don’t know what I enjoyed the most about this story. You have a strong and independent woman who has taken a career change to get out of the toxic environment in Hollywood. Then you have an adorable kid who steals your heart from the first page. Then you’ve got the silent and brooding love interest who warms up as the story goes on. It just all screams cute romance. But then you add in Christmas and Nikki’s advent calendar that she makes to help the kid get into the spirit since it’s his first Christmas without his mom. It’s so freaking cute. Turn it into a movie already!
Also, there’s a time limit on this set up the two of them have so you have some mutual pining and angst and it just makes me melt. I DO wish there had been a few more scenes where they were doing the advent calendar because this is a pretty short book and I always want more from books anyway.
This is a really cute Christmas romance if you’re looking to get into the spirit. It is part of a companion series that you can read in any order so don’t get thrown off by it being #5 in a series.
Nicki was returning to Montana after finally trading in her dreams for reality. It wasn’t that hard of a choice, really. But the sting of not making her younger dreams come true hadn’t yet lost it’s bite entirely. What she was doing now fit her personality, and she enjoyed her work in the medical field. This short term job was perfect for what she needed now. If she could calm her nerves and put those acting skills to work in showing a professional, confident face to her new employer. Which was proving difficult as she faced the handsome, silent man filling the doorway.
To say that Quincy was shell shocked, out of his comfort zone and just a bit miffed would be an understatement. In the space of a few short weeks he had discovered he had a child, that the woman he’d once been in a relationship with had, it seemed, planned to become pregnant despite his statement that he wanted no kids, his child’s mother had died leaving him with full custody of a child he didn’t know existed until recently and he’d moved across country with his father and son to the newly purchased home that had once belonged to his father. Yeah. it was beyond a bit of a change for them all.
Now he was faced with allowing this beautiful, bubbly, chatty woman to care for his father and his son… what in the world had he gotten himself into?
His Christmas Miracle is such a loving, family romance. Sound strange? Not really. This isn’t about a man and a woman falling in love. This story is all about falling in love with a family. Father and son. Man and woman. Woman and child. Family love. The men of the Ryan family need the special touch of Nicki and each responds to her inclusion in their lives differently, but every guy loves this woman, simply as different aspects of their lives. And none want her to ever leave them.
Nicki has the life she always wanted right in this house. She also has the chance that she never believed she’d ever get to fulfill her dream. The love of one silent, gruff and changing man will make that decision for her. And what a loving couple they make. This one had me in tears, both the sad, the wishful and the happy tears that only a really good story that touches the heart can produce. I absolutely loved this couple and their romance. It’s a story that I know I’ll be re-reading for many Christmas seasons to come.
If you’re ready to have your heart stolen by an adorable child who already has found his true love, and you’re looking for a really feel good Christmas romance then His Christmas Miracle is exactly what you need to pick up this holiday as a treat for yourself. I would highly recommend any story in this series, but especially this story. It will melt your heart and have you believing in some Christmas miracles as well.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this novel. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this story.*
His Christmas Miracle by Dani Collins is a wonderful story featuring a couple of misfits.
Nicole Darren, a girl who dreamt of making it big in Hollywood only to end up working at a nursing home to make ends meet. She has decided to return home to Glacier Creek, Montana. On the way there she stops in Marietta, Montana applying for a temporary job as a nanny for Quincy Ryan. Quincy has just recently relocated to Marietta, from Pittsburgh, with his father, Murray, and 4-year old son, Atlas. Murray is originally from Marietta and purchased the home his family previously owned.
Quincy did not know he was a father. He dated a woman for about four or five months, thought to marry her but she broke off the relationship. It turned out she became pregnant, whether on purpose or accidently and did not share the information with the baby’s father. When she was killed in a car accident, her parents locate Quincy to pass over custody of Atlas. Quincy had no idea how to be a father or how to take care of his son. That was why he hired Nicole to help with Atlas and assist with Murray.
Nicole helped all three men adjust to the changes in their lives. When it was time to leave, she did not want to go. She wanted more. However, she was offered a part in a television series and needed to decide if it was what she really wanted. Quincy found that Nicole not only helped him understand how to be a father, but she had gotten under his skin as well as affecting Atlas and Murray. The men did not want her to leave either, but Quincy needed to figure out a way to let her know how they felt.
The author did an excellent job writing this story. I enjoyed the fact that Ms. Collins interwove other Marietta residents into the story, mainly those from her previous books. For me, it was getting an update on old friends.
This was a fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I really enjoyed reading this book because Dani Collins wrote a sweet, fun, small town, Christmas romance that I could not put down. I loved this story as it warmed my heart. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
For some reason it took me a long time to finish this story. I think part of that was that the story line didn't grab me as much as some others do. Nicki came back from Montana after years of trying her luck in Hollywood. She went back to school to become a nurse aid and got a job to be a nanny/nurse aid for Quincy's 4 year old son Atlas and his aging father Maury. Quincy came back to Montana because his father persuaded him to live with him in the house that Maury grew up in. Quincy didn't want to move in the beginning but when his former girlfriend's parents surprised him with the news that he has a son and that his former love passed away, Quincy felt that it was time to have a new beginning with his son in a new area. Quincy, at first was aloof with Nicki. But then Nicki felt that in order to bring some Christmas cheer to the men she is now working for, she will start an advent calendar that has various Holiday activities where Quincy can bond with Atlas. It worked but along the way Nicki and Quincy fall for each other. I think their love story was cute. The only bummer thing was that there are some graphic sexual content in this book. The cover looked innocent enough but this is one of those titles that truly exemplifies the notion that "You can't judge the book by it's cover".
This is a fairly typical offering from Dani Collins as part of her Love in Montana series for Tule. The story is sweet with the romance a little steamy.
Quincy Ryan has just moved to Marietta with his widowed dad who was brought up in the rural town. The trigger for Quincy is the discovery that a woman he had a brief relationship with years ago died and left behind a son. His son he never knew about.
Nicky is coming back to Montana after years of trying to make it in Hollywood. Reality forced her to retrain as an aged carer and she comes as a temporary helper for Quincy's dad and his new son.
The story is simple. Nicky has only a few weeks to help out this all male household to adjust to their new life. Quincy is a computer whizz and a bit hopeless with the whole emotion stuff, so this is her biggest challenge. With the use of a homemade advent calendar and her own perky personality, she has until Christmas.
How this works makes for an engaging story with a group of endearing characters. A nice addition to the series.
I'm not quite sure how to word this review. I definitely liked this book, but I don't feel very attached to the characters at all. This was an insanely short book... like, 175 pages short. As I said in a previous review, I like books that are AT LEAST 300-400 pages. You know, something of substance. This was like a short story length to me.
I found the grammar in the book to be fine, as I didn't really notice anything that bugged me. My only real complaint is Atlas' behavior. For a four year old, he's mighty well behaved. I have a four year old nephew, and that kid can be a real stinker, let me tell you. I feel like he could have done with a few tantrums or mood swings just to make it more realistic to his age. A child moved to a new home with people he doesn't know would most likely be prone to acting out, in my opinion.
I probably won't be reading the other books, as I only downloaded this one because of the price tag (FREE).
I fell in love with this series from the start. I do try to read every book I can find. This is as good as the previous books. I wish I could go to Montana. Nicki wanted to act. Her agent dropped her. Now she is graduated to work with Seniors. She is driving to see Quincy and find out if she gets the job watching his Dad and son while he is at work.Spoiler. Quincy is a stand off person and Atlas follows him. Pops has diabetes. Nick gets the job. It is soon to be Christmas. Quincy would rather forget it but Nicki is gung ho to celebrate it. Nick helped Quincy and Atlas to come out and join in. Now she gets a call from her agent. What a hard decision. I fell for this book. It was a really quick read. I would recommend this book to everyone. I hope you try to read this book. Don't pass it up. Enjoy reading this book! I have volunteered to read and review this book.
Such a sweet, heartwarming story with a nerd shy hero! The little boy is endearing and I loved the way Dani Collins wrote the father/son relationship. Great heroine and great secondary characters too.
Nicole (Nikki) Darren was so anxious to secure the job with Quincy Ryan. It was to be their new adult caretaker, home health aide, nanny, housekeeper, chauffeur, and cook. She had been living in California for over six years, trying her hand at acting. It was time to go home and move on. She had completed her nursing aide course, to work. She knew she was more than qualified for the job. As far as working with children, she babysat during her teen years. Plus, she loved everything about Christmas, and that meant they could use her to help prepare for the holiday, with the move and all.
Especially with Quincy's dad’s, Maurice's (Maury, Pops) Ryan’s, health issues, her being there could only help. His being a diabetic and having high blood pressure are two that stand out. The other thing that can make things better at the Ryans' home, with her help, of course. Quincy had only just gotten Atlas, you see he never even knew he had a son, not until Atlas’ mom passed away. So, Quincy being an introvert, his meeting and dating Karen was an anomaly. Those four months that he dated her, for him, were a big deal. And he could never understand why she had broken it off.
They both were career-minded, both didn't want children, and both had bonded romantically quite fast, so much so that he even started looking at rings. When all too abruptly Karen had ended their relationship, which seemed odd, and news to him that, something was amiss. But looking at the facts today, it would make sense. Especially if she wanted to be a single mother, as her adoptive parents spoke about. Not something they approved of her doing alone. Especially with her not at least telling the father, so he could help financially. Lending more credence to what they said, she had it all planned out to get pregnant.
So, when his father announced he was moving to Marietta because his childhood home had become available. Quincy knew he had to make the move, too. He couldn't do it alone. He was also smart enough to know he would need help. However, he indeed thought he might be able to pawn or at least pay his way out of being a hands-on dad-rearing Atlas. Boy, was Quincy about to get a rude awakening. Between his dad and Nikki, he didn't stand a chance. He was going to learn to bond with his child, as well as mingle and become a part of his community, before Nikki left on Christmas Eve.
I loved how Nikki used the advent calendar and turned it into an event calendar, too. Also by putting it in the kitchen, Quincy had to become naturally curious. Even ventured out solo with Atlas when Nikki had to take Pops to his doctor’s appointment. Not to stick my neck out or anything but I would say Quincy enjoyed it too. Nikki was a force to be reckoned with. Now Quincy is starting to worry if maybe he should have asked Nikki to stay on as a full-time employee or encouraged her to get a job nearby. So maybe they could explore something together because he is catching feelings. Then, one phone call turns his world upside down.
This was such a good book. So worth the read and just what you need for Christmas, but I will warn you to start early. Once you start you won’t want one more chapter, nope, you won’t want to sleep.

4.5 stars — This book was exactly what I was looking for in a Christmas novel!! It had characters that I connected with and felt for, fun moments, sad moments, wintery moments…it was nice after having some bad luck.
Nicki was pretty easy for me to relate to — I loved her spunky happy personality, how she sought out joy in the little things. I also related to her sense of failure, and it was nice to see her work through that in this book. I loved the way she connected and bantered with Pops, and she was exactly what Atlas and Quincy needed in their lives.
I actually connected with parts of Quincy’s personality too, his natural reticence with people and scars from childhood. I loved that even though he was worried about being a good father, he didn’t shy away from the opportunities that Nicki gave him. I was a bit bummed with his reluctance to show affection — it was very stereotypically male, and it didn’t really fit with who Pops was…but alas.
The chemistry between Nicki and Quincy was actually pretty great…I loved all these moments you got to see as they both felt a connection with one another, but resisted it. And even though it was a bit slow burn, I really felt their emotions when the climax finally came around. I honestly wasn’t sure how it was going to resolve, but I was happy with how it did.
There were some great secondary characters in this one, from ones that played a large role to ones that played just a fleeting part. The town of Marietta is so richly developed, with so many characters and couples from other books (both by this author and from others) that it’s fun to see it from different perspectives.
But the highlight for me was wholeheartedly the relationships that both Nicki and Quincy develop with Atlas. He’s a super cute kid, but I also really felt for his emotional upheaval, and having to get used to strangers becoming family. I loved the way the Christmas activities every day helped them all grow together, and it totally got me into the spirit along with them.
So yeah…a solid Christmas book, and a romance I could root for.
My Rating System 5 stars--WOW 4 stars--would read again 3 stars--was good, won't read again 2 stars--read it, but didn't enjoy it 1 star--didn't finish, it was so awful
Do I need to read books before this one: no Cliffhanger: no
Summary Nicki had given up her dream of being an actress and gotten home care nurse training. November 30, she interviews with Quincy for the position of nurse for his father, Pops, and nanny for his son, Atlas. She doesn't know that Quincy and Pops found out about 4yo Atlas only a week ago. Quincy is floundering with being a dad and working at home. December 1, Nicki and Atlas make an advent calendar cardboard tree. As she finds activities for them to do, she adds the ideas to the ornaments to be hung. Her can-do attitude, Quincy's worry about safety in the snow, and Atlas's enthusiasm for Nicki and Christmas and Lucy get Quincy out of his home office and into the community while building his sense of family and home. But the job ends Christmas Eve.
Evaluation This Christmas romance is everything a Christmas romance should be. Anticipation for Christmas grows throughout the book in natural ways through the advent calendar activities. Something happens Christmas Eve to make them realize how they've changed since meeting, and on Christmas, they get the best gift ever.
Recommendation This story is for anyone who likes Christmas, romance, Montana, snow, and/or finding priorities. This isn't a cowboy story.
Favorite Quotes He couldn’t simply look into a pair of brown eyes that yes, were disconcertingly similar to the ones he saw in the mirror every day, and fall in love. It was narcissistic, for starters.

The book is beautifully written. I suppose my question is, "Where us God in all if this?" Their coming together at the perfect time was not a coincidence! The timing was perfect for both Nicki and Quincy. Even the little boy, Quincy's son, joined in at the perfect time. I loved all the Christmas activities. I copied them, but now how to find and print them!! They will he perfect fo.me to use with my grandson!! I thank u so much for that. Now, my question is, Why could the final lovemaking not happen after the marriage? As a person who has been married for 47 years, I am here to tell u that God makes that bond ever so much stronger, and boy, was my husband worth the wait!! I so admired how you so tactfully told how much passion was involved, and how incredible the coming together was!! Such a wonderful writer you are!! I wanted to hug the small boy repeatedly throughout this book!! You know, the real joy of Christmas was the story of the nativity, and had u included it, the story line would have been even stronger for me. All that beautiful love was God-given, after all!! You so eloquently stated how grand he joy and love came to be. Persons had been hurt, even damaged, and yet the love was healing, just as it is in life. The activities were so wonderful to use with a small child. I actually taught elementary school for years, but found myself writing many down to use with my grandson. Heady stuff, love. Powerful stuff, passion. Phenomenal love, that which God feels for us!! Characters were built beautifully and progression was so accurate for persons who had been hurt. U did feel like you knew these folk and well...the true sign of a stellar book!! Loved the ending too!! Just a few, tiny, meaningful tweaks! Thank you for all the joy this book imparts!!
This review is from: His Christmas Miracle (Love in Montana Book 5) (Kindle Edition) This beautiful love story is not just about a love between a man and a woman, but also between a father and his newly discovered child. The fact that it centers around the holiday season just makes it that much sweeter. Nikki is everything Quincy is not...bubbly, funny, a chatterbox to his serious, almost taciturn self. So we also have an opposites attract theme going on. Nikki wants to help Quincy open his arms and his heart to Atlas and uses an advent calendar to do it. From getting a Christmas tree to making their own wrapping paper, each days is designed to bring father and son closer. Nikki, with a little help from Pops, Quincy's dad, tries to bring together the Ryan men to form a tight unit... one that be Nikki herself longs to be a part of, while dealing with her own disappointments with her family and failed acting career. Can the magic of The season and Santa's little helper perform a Christmas miracle for all you involved? The odds are good in this latest installment of the Love in Montana series. There's even a few visits from characters of stories past :) Great writing, lovely theme, intriguing characters. A 4.5 star read
This was a sweet, clean feel-good type of Christmas story. Its the kind one likes to read while curled up in a warm, cozy blanket drinking hot chocolate. Nicki tried her hand at being an actress but that particular dream didn't work out. Now she's looking to start over and has returned to Montana where she grew up. She has an interview with Quincy who is also looking to start over, in a manner of speaking. He's just recently learned he's a father, that a woman he was once involved with had given birth to Quincy's son, Atlas. Now, however, that woman has passed away and her parents want Quincy to take custody of Atlas.
Realizing he's going to have to have some help, Quincy decides to move in with his dad in Marietta Montana. He's made arrangements with his employer to work from home so Quincy can spend time with his son. He's also decided to hire a nanny/housekeeper/chauffeur/whatever he might need the person to do. That person turns out to be Nicki.
What follows is a wonderful love story combined with all the trappings of Christmas to put you in the holiday mood. Nicki turns out to be just what Quincy, Atlas, and Pops need as she shows them what it means to be a family during the holidays. A big thumb's up!
I liked this short story.. It follows Quincy and Nicki. Nicki is hired to take care of Quincy’s father Maury and his son Atlas. It’s only a 3 week job but Nicki falls in love with their family and being around them. Quincy is a standoffish guy who does not show many emotions. Atlas was a surprise as his mother had passed and Quincy had no idea he even had a 4 year old son.
I do like how the books chapters are days counting down until Christmas vs the traditional chapters.
Anyways. As you can guess Nicki and Quincy fall in love. Yes I understand it’s a book, they fall in love in 3 weeks only mentioning feelings the day before Christmas and then become in enraged the next day..
I would have preferred to see them together and then a later update that they were married a year later on Christmas and go from there..
Although the story didn’t feel rushed… some parts felt too long.. I found myself towards the end skimming through pages, feeling a lot of filler information that I could do without as it added nothing to the story for me.
Anyways the book has a happy ending, we get an update two years later around Christmas from the two and they are welcoming their first child together.

Nicki & Quincy’s story is PERFECT to read the week after Thanksgiving
The story is so deliciously loving. About a young man that discovers that he has a 4 year old son he never knew about, only because the mom has been unfortunately killed and the maternal grandparents don’t want to be parents again. He hires a nanny for the month of December, just to get him through, sure that he can handle things with the help of his live in father, as soon as school starts in January.
He hasn’t taken into account the fact that he is new to country living, having been a city located architectural engineer prior to these changes. He’d moved to be with his father first, but he didn’t know him well, and he sure wasn’t comfortable with this style of openness in the community. Having Nicki around makes a world of difference, for everyone.
To reveal any other details would spoil the reading of the book for you. I would want to do that, because it is well worth reading, not just at Christmas I think. I will need some time to complete the
3.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book overall. It’s definitely one of the better books I’ve read in this type of genre. Despite it being short, it never felt rushed. And it was a slower burn romance which is almost impossible to find. Especially with books like this.
The characters were the best part. I liked Nikki a lot. She actually had a personality, contributed to the story and made a meaningful impact on the mmc. That is also very hard to find in a romance novel. The girl is usually fairly bland and it’s hard to see why or how the guy would like her. But Nikki is fun and interesting and helpful. I also really liked Quincy. His quiet nature was done well as were his vulnerabilities and insecurities.
The only thing I would have wanted was more time spent seeing the two be in some kind of relationship. Like more times showing them giving into their romantic desires and a little more passion between them where they lose control. I thought this could have been longer I guess is what I’m saying too. I would for sure recommend this book for a good Christmas romance.
Maury bought his old house back and then moves back to Marietta Montana. He plans on living in the house by himself until his son Quincy gets word that an old girlfriend of his named Karen has been killed in a car accident and that he has a son named Atlas. Maury is a diabetic whose health has been a little rocky lately so Quincy does not want to burden his Dad by having him watch Atlas while Quincy is at work.
So he decides to hire a caregiver/Nanny for the. Quincy talks his company into letting him work from home but he still needs someone to help him out. So he hires Nicki Darren. She isn't exactly what he expected but things started to get a little interesting in that household of three bachelors.
Nicki really knows how to shake things up and make things fun. Will she become more than a Nanny and caregiver or will she continue with the way she had her life planned out. She wants to be a movie star. Read the book you will be glad that you did.
