Lawrence Kepler was said to be 'unkillable'. He worked for one of the biggest companies in the world. He had technologically advanced enhancements that would always give him the upper hand. Now he's dead. And who killed him is a billion credit question.

A pair of detectives must work out who killed Kepler, but to do so, they must cover a lot of ground. They must find and question the top suspects, but also take note of people mentioned in Kepler's last recorded thoughts. As the murder case opens further, and strange events follow them around, they begin to unravel a much bigger scheme in a world of individual struggles and collective power plays.

All police are equipped with neural and body enhancements themselves to assist them whilst they're out in the world. But there is a fine line separating suspects from killers, and detectives must work out when to act as machines or act with humanity, if they are to ever answer the billion credit question.

An interesting dive into dystopia and masculinity. A really thought provoking story and beautifully descriptive world-building. Loved it!
