A well-written, short read on current research and studies about our circadian rhythms and the consequences of disrupting them (hint: it’s not just sleep debt). I initially picked up this book to stretch my science reading muscles, and I walked away more informed about why one cannot sacrifice sleep for more productivity. Dr. Gander does an excellent job of translating her deep knowledge of chronobiology to the lay public. Some of the black and white graphics were difficult to read, but Dr. Gander’s writing helps clarify the visuals.
