Your body isn't the enemy — but health anxiety makes it feel that way.
If you find yourself Googling symptoms late at night, visiting doctors only to feel relief for a few hours before the worry returns, or constantly scanning your body for signs something is wrong — you know how consuming this is. The cycle of checking, fearing, and seeking reassurance is exhausting. And the more certainty you search for, the more anxious you become. This isn't weakness. Health anxiety is a learned pattern, and cognitive behavioral therapy for health worries is specifically designed to change it.
Artem Kudelia, PhD, psychologist specializing in anxiety disorders, presents a structured 30-step CBT program for health anxiety and illness anxiety disorder — one of the most comprehensive self-guided approaches to overcoming health-related fear. In this book you will learn:
- Recognize the thought patterns and checking behaviors that maintain health anxiety
- Challenge catastrophic interpretations of physical symptoms and bodily sensations
- Reduce compulsive symptom-checking and reassurance-seeking step by step
- Build a healthier, more trusting relationship with your body and uncertainty
- Develop daily practices for lasting resilience against health-related fear
Health anxiety affects millions of people — and it responds well to CBT. This book provides a clear, compassionate roadmap to break free from the cycle of worry and reclaim your peace of mind.

It does a great job explaining how thoughts can trigger physical symptoms and how to break that cycle.
Really clear step-by-step approach that makes CBT feel manageable, especially for health anxiety. The exercises are practical and easy to stick with, though it can feel a bit repetitive at times. Still very useful overall. structured and practical
