About the author

Helen Scheuerer is the fantasy author of the bestselling series, The Oremere Chronicles, the Curse of the Cyren Queen quartet and The Legends of Thezmarr. Her work has been highly praised for its strong, flawed female characters and its action-packed plots.

Oh my heart

I have yet to read a book from this woman that hasn’t put me through the gauntlet of emotions. I love every minute of them, for the most part haha. I hated Rohesia so much in the first book that I considered putting this series to the side and not reading it. I should’ve known better. I’ve spent the last few hours crying, laughing and gasping at the ending of this series. If you love magic, slow burn romance, fierce characters of all genders, battles that make you get up and pace while you read to help with the anxiety then Helen Scheuerer’s work is for you. Do not miss this exceptional author.

This one didn’t quite hit the mark with me. I think because of the exceptionally high standard of other books that I’ve read by this author. It’s a good read, it’s enjoyable, I t’s got some great world building but it didn’t make me want to reach for the next book within three seconds.

This felt like the book that did all of the set up for something great to happen but the entire book was set up for something great to happen. It just felt like nothing made me want to read it. It existed and it was fine and I’m sure the next book will be great, but this one was flat.

This was a good ending to the story, it’s a decent series (I love the others more) and I’m glad I read them all. I would be curious to read a spin off of this series.

This series completely wrecked me. I truly loved everything about it. I’m not quite sure how Helen Scheuerer can write such beautiful and powerful stories in each book she writes, but it’s exactly what she consistently does and this series is no exception. Truly phenomenal! I felt every possible emotion as we journeyed with Roh and Fin, and I found my heart tethered to theirs along the way. I sit here wrecked as I just finished the final pages of this beautiful story and my heart is full but wishing I could stay in their world for longer. I will keep this story with me for a very long time. It was truly beautiful and I wholeheartedly recommend this series!

insanely beautiful story.

I can’t even begin to say how much I have loved this series. It just made my top three maybe taking the first spot. Everything about these books is so beautiful and well thought out. I love the story of Rohesia, her friendships and the sisterhood she builds. I love that it was so unique too. These books deserve a cult following, I’m series. Spoiler ahead. I was sad that the main character friend passed away. He deserved to make it to the end. It was beautiful all the same.

This is one heck of an introduction to a new author. I am in love with Ro and the gang. So incredibly told and super addictive and filled with action and danger around every corner. I cried, I loved, I admired and I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters. I can’t wait to dive into more books by Helen.

Another amazing series

This is the conclusion the the Cheek Queen series.. No spoilers. It put a nice finishing wrap on a complex story. The bad guys got revealed ostracized and punished. The folks with good intentions were recognized for their Many sacrifices..

Such a great story! I loved all the adventures and relationship building within the books. So many ups and downs and twists and turns, it was brilliant!

I bought this set during a sale Audible was having, I wasn't really expecting much since I'd never heard of the series before. Never again will I underestimate unpopular series!
This is hands down the best slept on book series and I really don't know why. I loved everything about it, the world building, the characters and their growth throughout the novels, the plot. It was all good!! It's one of the few that will be shelved on my re-read worthy list.
