I love Sage Parker’s books. They are all so unique and get right into the story from the beginning and draw you in with all the mystery and suspense and this book is no different. At 64 Madeline is just reeling from her divorce only to face another setback in life when she discovers she was adopted as a child ad this leads her, with a not so subtle push from her best friend, to California to locate her family and thus begins an adventure. Lots happening but it is sure to keep you hooked. Bring on book 2.

Sage Parker has started another brilliant series that has me totally engaged and entertained from the get go. Maddy is dealing with divorce and death of her mother with the unyielding support of her best friend Di. As the story starts to unfold, I feel sadness, empathy and joy for the steps Maddy is taking to deal with her challenges. I can't wait to read Book 2.

The Family Vineyard (Book 1) is in the Cali Reunion series by Sage Parker.
Madeleine's life is messy with her divorce, her mother’s death, and surprise info about herself. I was a little frustrated wupith her at the beginning, but fortunately she found her backbone and quit being a doormat to be walk on. Her friend Di may be a bit much at times, but she is good for Madeleine. I can’t wait for the next book!

Well, I'm not falling in love with this one so far. Maddy is a new divorcee with a douche for an ex, a friend that loves her but is a bit embarrassing, and a mom who hid secrets until her death bed. I think there are too many plots for the story. Finding out yo;re adopted at 60 is enough and makes for a great plot. I'm going to stick with it on the hopes that the story will pick up and smooth out. I would love to see Maddy stand up for herself and tell everyone to go away. It has potential.
I’m very interested in this Author, I’ve been reading her books for a long time. I give this book a rating of 5 stars because the book was really detailed on the subject and ended up with a good ending. I’m reading her next book in line. Her books are very short, 68 pages to be exact. lol, I read a chapter or 2 every night. That’s why it took so long to read, plus I’ve been reading other books along with hers.
Madeline's husband divorces her after 46 years. At 64 that is a lot. Then she gets a call to come see her mother at the nursing home because she is failing. On her deathbed she hints that Madeline isn't her biological daughter. There are papers with the will that say it was a private adoption. She begins a journey to discovering the truth of her beginnings. This is a good story with a strong supporting cast told in a series of mini cliffhangers.
Madeline is having a really rough time. Newly divorced after 46 years and then her mother dies. Then the lawyer has to tell Madeline that she was adopted. Working through all these issues is huge and it is a good thing she has her friend along to help push her forward. This is book 1 of 6 and I am looking forward to see how this story plays out.
Nothing better than Book 1 of a new Sage Parker series! Family drama and secrets... it's going to be a page turner. I'm hooked, love the setting, storyline and getting to know the characters. Nothing better than well written women's fiction stories with satisfying twists, adventure, mystery, touches of romance and happily ever afters. I'm ready for book 2!.
I loved this book. It was great from page one. Being in my 60's myself, it was awesome to read about another woman going through a hard time in life. There was so much challenge for the MC that you can not wait to see how it plays out. I highly recommend this book to all readers.

This is the first book in the Cali Reunion Series; it is the beginning of a new series. The story continues in the next book and needs to be read in order.
Madeline is dealing with a divorce, her mother's death and a stunning secret. Her ex expects her to make him dinner. Finally, she finds her backbone. Strong characters and I can't wait to learn more. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest opinion.

Not a bad start to an interesting story. Very short, but definitely left me wanting to read book 2. Felt like this could have equated to 3 chapters in a normal book and was disappointed it left on such a cliff hanger.
If I had known how short the book was, I would not have downloaded it! However I did, and rather enjoy reading about an older woman, and her issues after a divorce. I try to balance my Historical Fiction with lighter works, and this fills the bill!
Wow, this start to this story with Madeleine is compelling. It was very, very relatable and I am looking forward to this series to find out how Madeleine gets to her new normal.

The characters were fun and very interesting. So far many different emotions have been shown. The story holds your interest. I enjoyed this book 📖 from start to finish.
Finished book one it’s an easy read but it’s a little slow in the start I gave up a few times . But got back into it . It didn’t start getting better until towards the end of the book . Just started the second one hope it gets better .
