Willow Harper thought she was finally beginning to understand the world she’d been thrust into—a world where she’s connected to the enigmatic shifter Caleb Foster. But Caleb has vanished, leaving Willow vulnerable and alone.
The longer Caleb stays away, the more dangerous his absence becomes—not just for him, but for her. Other shifters, drawn to her for reasons she can’t explain, are closing in.
She knows severing their bond may be her only hope, yet the deeper their connection grows, the harder it becomes to let go—especially when her feelings for him are anything but simple.
Hunted by dangerous enemies and haunted by the lingering bond to a man who’s no longer there to protect her, Willow must find Caleb before it’s too late. Together, they’ll have to face the threat to her and, perhaps, confront the darkest parts of Caleb’s past.
But with each day that Caleb stays away, they risk not only losing each other—but everything they’re fighting for.
Wolf's Fate is the story of a lone shifter, a determined woman, and a mystery that will pull him back to the world he left behind. Recommended reading age is 18+ due to mature content, mature language, violence, and mature themes.
Eve L. Mitchell is a USA Today Bestselling author who writes contemporary romance and urban fantasy.
Being an avid reader from a young age, Eve still considers herself to be a reader first. She believes there is nothing better than getting that new book either on your e-reader or in your hands, and the fact she may bring that excitement to a fellow reader, fills her with wonder. She writes under a pen name because otherwise her Secret Agent status will be revoked.
Eve lives in the North East of Scotland, with her three coffee machines and her significant other, Mr. M. She enjoys NFL Football, music and having long conversations with the voices in her head, which sometimes turn into the stories she writes.
Wolf’s Fate is the second book in The Shadowridge Peak Series, which is a paranormal romance.
Willow and Caleb’s story continues where we left off in Wolf’s Chance. Each character still has their own paths to continue on, but with the help of Luna they are slowly being drawn together.
The deep dive into more of Caleb’s past gives some great insight to his character and what he’s been through.
Willow’s independence and stubbornness shine though, along with her “human” thinking vs the other main characters and their “shifter” thinking.
I was on my toes anticipating what was to come and where Willow and Caleb’s journeys and relationship would end up in this book.
I can’t wait for Wolf’s Providence and the continuation of this series, cause wow what kinda of cliffhanger was that!!!
Its official I'm broke.....I should learn by now not to start one of Eve's books in an evening because it always ALWAYS leaves me with no sleep. This book is no different!!! It absolutely hits all the emotions....and that ending jeeeeeee wizzz my phone is feeling the damage today... yes I launched it ...Eve you owe me a new phone !!!! But oh my days is this book good Caleb and Willows story has my heart broken and I NEED the next book. I honestly think she's broke me this time. This story is so intense but addictive ❤ congratulations Eve you've outdone yourself again ❤
3.75stars-WOLF’S FATE is the second instalment in Eve L Mitchell’s contemporary, adult SHADOWRIDGE PEAK paranormal, romance series, a spin off set in the author’s Blackbridge Peak series. This is the continuing story of wolf shifter/ rogue Caleb Foster, and twenty-six year old artist Willow Harper’s story line. WOLF’S FATE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events of book one WOLF’S CHANCE.
SOME BACKGROUND: Pulled towards something unknown, lone wolf Caleb Foster finds himself drawn to Whispering Pines and artist Willow Harper, a human woman but a woman who sees more than anyone could have ever imagined. Having spent ten years alone after the decimation of his pack, Caleb struggles with pack life, and interacting with society.
If you have not read book one, there may be spoilers in my review.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Willow and Caleb) WOLF’S FATE picks up approximately three weeks after the events of WOLF’S CHANCE in which, wolf shifter Caleb Foster, having left Willow Harper behind under the protection of the Blackridge Peak Alpha Cannon, journeys towards the ghosts from his past . With his ‘connection’ to Willow growing stronger as he approaches his homeland, Caleb quickly realizes Willow’s life is in danger, and is desperate to protect the woman that calls to his heart. Struggling with the demons from his past, Caleb continues to spiral but with the presence of our story line heroine, Caleb’s demons begin to reveal a devastating story.
The world building reveals Caleb’s past and the destruction of his pack and the people he loved. The ghosts continue to haunt our story line hero but the past takes aim at our story line couple.
The relationship between Caleb and Willow continues to be turbulent and aggressive as Willow struggles to understand the man Caleb is becoming, and the wolf who is desperate to avenge the past. Caleb and Willow are apart for a good portion of the story line -Caleb on the run towards his darkness, and Willow searching for the man with whom she is falling in love. The lone $ex scene is limited but impassioned without any true resolution.
The secondary and supporting characters include the return of the Blackridge Peak wolf pack including Alpha Cannon, Doc, Royce and a visiting Shaman.
WOLF’S FATE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, magic and power, family and loss. The premise is enchanting and entertaining; the characters are broken and magical; the romance is limited as Caleb struggles with his attraction to our story line heroine. WOLF’S FATE ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
As the second novel in the Shadowridge Peak series, Wolf's Fate continues the story of Caleb and Willow.
Despite Caleb eventually sharing his demons with Willow, no answers are forthcoming and yet even more questions have been asked and, remained a mystery as we wend our way through the highs and the lows of this book.
There are some hard hitting, grief stricken moments and I developed some understanding of Caleb's burden as he negotiates his way through day to day life carrying a load that can be much heavier some days.
Willow, forever his biggest support, does the best that she can but, can often see it's not enough to shine some much needed light on Caleb's darkness.
Eve L Mitchell has done an amazing at keeping us all guessing as to how this could possibly end in a positive way for anyone involved!! I'm so heavily invested I can't wait for the end of January!!
OMG!!!! EVE L. MITCHELL!!!! You cannot end a book like that!!!!! (Yes I am yelling in shouty caps) the first book in this series was absolutely amazing and I was blown away by the story development and character development, but that book was nothing compared to this one. Willow is such a fierce character, even though she suffers from ME and gets drained she gives Caleb her all and will do whatever it takes to save him. And lord he does not make it easy. I think Caleb may be the most infuriating character Eve has ever written. I can’t believe how addicted I am to this story. I am completely emotionally involved now and with that ending I will be thinking about the next book nonstop until I get to read it.

Author Eve L. Mitchell has created another phenomenal wolf shifter romance. In my honest opinion, Eve L. Mitchell pours her all into the books she creates and writes for her audience’s enjoyment. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Caleb and Willow’s story unfold throughout the book. I thought that the chemistry between Caleb and Willow was breathtaking. Wolf’s Fate is amazingly written, well balanced and beautifully executed by Eve L. Mitchell. I absolutely did NOT want to set this book down until I read the last page. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to see what happens between Caleb and Willow. I will most definitely recommend this book for anyone to checkout and give it a read.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We continue Caleb and Willow's story, getting a deeper dive into Caleb's haunted past. Some longstanding questions answered of why Caleb's taken to a 'rogue' Alpha status.
Willow's stubborn and fierce nature grow ever stronger in her refusal to give up on Caleb.
The first half of this book was a bit slow but I devoured the second half. Loved when Caleb finally relented and allowed Willow to accompany him to Shadowbridge Peak.
What a freaking cliffhanger, though. Thankful the final installment was already released because I'm downloading on KU now.
This was the 2nd book in the Shadowridge Peak Series and I really enjoyed jumping right in with Willow and Caleb where we left off from the 1st book. But this one ended on a cliffhanger and I was just not ready for it and it destroyed me. This book gave us more background into Caleb’s past but I struggled with the two of them being apart through a good portion of this book. Can’t wait for the next book to get me the resolution that I so desperately need now.
I enjoyed this second book more than Wolf’s Chance. It’s a fast paced read where Willow and Caleb are developing a deeper connection either apart or together. Willow is still seeking answers and facing danger and death. The events and action are intriguing and entertaining and I’m excited for the next installment in their adventures.

Hands down one of my favorite wolf shifter series! I get so lost in the story I’m disappointed when reality kicks in. It’s complex and unforgiving AND to make matters worse it ends in a cliff hanger. Just when it was getting great too. I’m soo looking forward to book 3. Im all in! I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
Eve L. Mitchell once again delivers another fantastic story! Her characters are strong and well developed. Easy to like and engage. I had a hard time putting this book down. The beautiful world building is vivid and smooth, making you feel you are right there. Even though the book ends on a cliffhanger, I love this book! Definitely a must read!,
I love this series. Willow knows that she needs to find Caleb through her drawings. She doesn't think that she will be targeted but she is and know more than ever she needs his help. Through strength and determination she gathers the courage to find Caleb and I'm so glad she did. There was suspense and action and I can't wait for book 3 to see the outcome xx
I almost abandoned this series after the first book. I’m happy that I stuck with it. I still have absolutely no idea where it’s going, but I’m invested in finding out. Much more subtle than most books in this genre.
Better than the first. It’s getting there with its potential. He’s still bossy, but the development of him struggling was showcased pretty well, the plot of how Willow is involved has me wanting to know the outcome, AND THAT ENDING 🤯
Still not convinced Caleb even likes Willow and wasn't a huge fan of them being apart for a large part of it. This series just wasn't really it for me, I think.
🌕 Book Review Wolf’s Fate by Eve L. Mitchell | 4 ⭐️ | @adasbookreview
Okay, so first I was tossed into the deep end... but this one grabbed me by the heart and dragged me straight into chaos—and I loved every minute. 😮💨🔥
Willow and Caleb are BACK and not here to play. Fate isn’t whispering anymore—it’s screaming, kicking down doors, and bringing all the danger, secrets, betrayals, and emotional chaos with it. Every chapter had me holding my breath like, “Wait… WHAT now?!” 👀🌑
Willow’s a powerhouse—fierce, vulnerable, and raw in all the best ways. She’s battling ME, dealing with eerie visions, and her art? Not just an escape anymore—it’s a full-on warning.
Now let’s talk Caleb. Do I adore him? Yes. Was I screaming into a pillow because he kept pushing Willow away? Also yes. He’s still that broody protector, but this time he’s fighting his guilt, his past, and his purpose.
The tension between them? STILL DELICIOUS. The slow burn? STILL TORTURE. 🔥 The chemistry? ELECTRIC! But underneath it all, this story's heart is found in family, trust, and the terrifying risk of letting someone in.
The bonds deepen, the stakes skyrocket, and the reveals?? Jaw. Dropping. 💀
And don’t even get me started on that cliffhanger. I’m unwell. 😭
