Monster Wave: Talnag

Rate this book
The world has gone to shit, and it isn't humanity's fault. Shocker, I know. Our world didn't meet its end because of war, climate change or any of the other numerous issues you might think. We lost Earth to monsters, an alien experiment gone wrong.

Sutton
I'm not sure which is worse. An abusive boyfriend, or the monsters waiting outside our bunker, ready to attack at a moment's notice. For years after the world ended, I would have said that my ex was the lesser of two evils. Until I realize I am pregnant, and he goes from abusive to murderous. It isn't the obvious monsters you must watch out for but the ones hiding in plain sight.

Beaten and left for dead at seven months pregnant, I am unprepared when I wake up in a new place with no memories and vague promises bouncing around in my mind. Left to rot in a camp of human survivors, I realize that my child and I are not safe here.

Haunted by the holes in my memories, I make a drastic choice. When the men that run the human camp bring in a prisoner, a monster and his human mate, I realize there is a fate other than hiding and waiting to die. A fate that brings the world of monsters and humans perilously close. The line blurring between what is expected of you and what could be. When they escape, I ask them to take me with them. When they say yes, I realize that my adventure has just begun. It is time that I take fate into my own hands.

Loved this book! I finished it pretty fast! I wish it was longer but I am loving this world. I love all the people and the monsters we are learning more about. Finally introducing us to another character so I can’t wait to see the naga have his own book. The 2 main characters in this book I loved! I wish we had more time between them it was lacking a lot I hate when we don’t get much interactions but it was still perfect and I can’t wait for the next book! I hope the author becomes more active on her socials! 👏🙏
