Давненько не розчаровувалася якоюсь книжкою. 2 бали це тільки через Дрю, бо Белла всю книжку дуже сильно дратувала. Ось не бачила продовження їхнього буття разом.
Почнімо з аж 9 років назад, бо ненависть Белли до Дрю почалась саме тоді. Окей, ненавидіти, що він їй випадково поцілив м'ячом в голову дивно, але гаразд, але більша ненависть йшла через, те що він нібито забрав увагу її батька. Її. Батька. Тренера. І через це в принципі вона ненавидить футбол та футболістів. А як вона намагалась впродовж усього її життя якось догодити батькові, якому якось було і байдуже на неї? Чому б не поговорити з ним, а не просто спускати свою злість на Дрю? І тут саме Дрю вона робить винним у всьому, бо стільки ненависті як до нього, вона не виливає на жодного іншого гравця.
Момент де злили відео, де Дрю та Белла займалися сексом в роздягальні. Чесно, було таке відчуття що вони вчинили якесь масове вбивство, бо всі так негативно реагували на це. Відчуття, що спортсмени і секс це диво з див. Чомусь ніхто так не хейтив того, хто його злив, який втрутився в чуже особисте життя.
І знову до теми батька вертаємося, як же це тупо, коли у вас є якісь чи то почуття, чи то ви просто хочеться зустрічатися, але ви все думаєте «а що ж батько скаже». Чесно, було таке відчуття, що персонажа не 18+, а 14. Наче двоє дорослих людей, а Белла «не хоче розчарувати свого батька». Вони оце сексом займалися, бо зустрічатися якось це не назвеш, цілий місяць, нікому нічого не казавши, а потім Белла дивується «а до тобі не так?».
+були моменти, коли Белла засуджувала, що хлопець багато з ким спав, хотілось запитати «заздрість бере чи як?», він же нікого не зраджує та ні з ким не зустрічається, то кому яке діло?
Дрю був найадекватнішим, хоча я розчарувалачь, що вони в кінці все ж таки разом. Сумно.

Все чудово, але Беллу(Ізабела) хотілось придушити всю книгу. Таке враження наче по книзі їй не 20, а 13 років. Дрю взагалі бубочка😍 хлопець просто мрія🫶🫶🫶

Frustrating!!!
This book was all kinds of frustrating!! The CONSTANT back and forth between Drew and Bella was seriously annoying and made me want to DNF this book so bad!!! They acted more like they were in high school instead of college!! I swear, the fact that they could NEVER just say what they were thinking and how they felt made me want to scream.

I really enjoyed the first 50% of this one however the last 50% was just not good. The start of this book takes place around Christmas time and Drew and Bella get stuck in a snowstorm together after Bella breaks her leg and Drew has to take care of her however it’s not really a Christmassy read like you would think from the title.
I loved the tension and the banter between Drew and Bella in the first half of the book. I really liked Drew he was such a sweet MMC I really liked his character however Bella really annoyed me especially in the last half of this one. She was just not a nice person at all and treated Drew really terrible. The constant back and forth of them screwing and then not admitting their feelings for each other got really frustrating and I really struggled with the last half of this read. The several year timeline was also too long and they don’t properly get together until the epilogue which was really frustrating. Overall this book was just too long it definitely could have been shorter.

This book was beyond frustrating!!!! The h was the worst, she was beyond selfish & irritating. If they would’ve just communicated & actually talked things out, it could’ve saved this book. Still felt like a lot was left unresolved & not talked about, this book had such great potential but just fell flat. The writing style is the only reason I didn’t DNF, I kept hoping it would get better but only got worse. The sex scenes were the best part, everything else was lack luster.

I was very excited about this read, and I did enjoy it a lot, but it wasn’t the 5 star Christmas read I was hoping for. I wish it was more chrismtassy, given the title.
I loved the banter and spice of this book, and there was a lot of it. However, Bella never being able to admit her feelings was super annoying, I wanted to shake her and tell her to sort herself out cos she was being so stupid. She needed to stand up for what she wanted.
Drew is the cutest and deserved so much more than Bella, although I do understand the need they had for each other.
The timelines were a little annoying as I wasn’t expecting them to take quite so long to get together and be so far apart. They wasted too much time in my opinion, although, again I understand why this was done.
Overall I did enjoy this book, just wish they admitted their feelings a lot sooner.

Loved her book Teach Me but this book didn't have any of the same elements that made the book so good. The whole book was riddled with horrible communication which even continued through the epilogue. The FMC didn't seem to learn from her mistakes. The premise was good, the execution could have been much better.

Bella Summers & Drew McCallister
Y'all I been slowly bidding my time for the winter weather to read her and get in the Christmas spirit and I was so right to do so. I absolutely loved these two so much and the chemistry between them is off the charts and that banter, top notch. While this feels like and enemies to lovers it's really one side hate to love on Bella's end because Drew is obsessed with Bella from the moment they meet. I love that Bella is this grumpy girl who hides her soft and vulnerable side because she thinks she needs to keep it safe and to work on finding herself. I love that Drew is the sunshine outgoing one who hides nothing besides how he feels for Bella. Watching these two fight their growing attraction while being snowed in was so much fun, also I wanna shout out Bella for her growth as a character and owning up to her mistakes and finally accepting her flaws.
5/5 Recommend this book. If you're looking for your holiday Rom-com then this is the one. Yes I wanted to throat punch them both multiple times and yell at them but that's how you know it's gonna be a good one. While this one might be her most controversial couple I absolutely love that and love that she shows that raw and complex side of what life is often like but that we all can make progress and change like the seasons.

I absolutely love a black cat x golden retriever and Bella and Drew are the embodiment of this trope.
Bella is so prickly and standoffish and such a tough nut to crack. Drew is so caring and pure goodness. The fact that he's been pining after a girl who has hated him for years had me rooting for him to break through Bella's hard exterior.
And man were these two explosive 💥
But their journey isn't an easy one considering Bella's father just so happens to be Drew's football coach. And although Bella doesn't have the greatest relationship with her dad, she doesn't want to disappoint him or distract his protégé, which is why what's happening between Drew and Bella all the more complicated.
Fave spicy scenes: the TRX straps and treadmill. I will never look at a treadmill the same way again.

They don’t get together until the epilogue. The entire book is just the FMC being an awful person, treating the MMC like nothing more than a good fuck, and the MMC hoping the FMC would change. Then they separate for a few years before they reunite and have the exact same communication problems they did to begin with.. then they’re together finally in the epilogue. The EPILOGUE.
The FMC was honestly just a shitty human being and didn’t have any kind of redemption arc or groveling that made her character worth the frustration.
The MMC alludes to having one night stands/flings during the two and a half years they were apart even though he was still in love with her.
It’s not said if the FMC was celibate during their separation, but she mentions having stayed in love with him the entire time they were apart as well.
I would skip this read if I could go back. Not my cup of tea.

A slow-burn enemies to lovers Christmasy romance 🎄🥰🤍
While I was frustrated by Bella’s actions, I really started to understand her more throughout the story & related to her in the aspect of constantly trying to meet others expectations & realizing you’ve lost yourself along the way
My heart went out for Drew!! I was SO proud of our golden retriever boy!!! Despite his love for Bella, he stood up for himself & took the time he needed away from her which was ultimately best for both of them.
This story felt very REAL to me; life happens and sometimes we miss our chance with the people we love because we don’t realize how important they are

I’ve never hated an FMC more
Holy moly. When I started this book I expected to identify with the FMC given our similar dad problems, but dear god! It was like the author was trying to make a villain the protagonist and even remotely likeable. She was not likeable. She was a horrible person. Dude deserved better on so many levels, but he was like an abused dog desperate for any crumbs from this horrible horrible person.
I HATED these two together. Truly.

2.75? The constant back and forth between hero and heroine got annoying. I know it was going for the enemies to lovers trope, but 🤷🏻♀️ The thing is both of them don't really hate the other, and we know that. So this bickering and trading insults just wears on you. Then the drama that caused Drew to leave to Cali, and a year of nearly no contact and then the epilogue.😒 Is it the worst I've read? No. But it wasn't the greatest. I would give the author another try though.

I'm a sucker for college sports romances, so I enjoyed this book. It's really only set at Christmas time for a little bit in the beginning, and then the epilogue. The rest of the book has nothing to do with Christmas. Bella was a little infuriating, but I just loved Drew. He was great!

The premise of this book had fantastic potential. The beginning of this book was great.
Hmmmm… I don’t know where to start. The things that the female main character and the male main character did at points in this book did not make sense. (Based on earlier parts of the book, and how they have previously acted).
It seemed like the relationship aspect of this book was just going in circles.

WOW .JUST LOVE YOUR BOOKS.. CHARACTERS AND STORYLINES ARE REALLY BELIEVABLE BUT IN THIS STORY I AM SAD FOR THE STRUGGLES...ONE REALLY FELT THE CHARACTERS..THEY ENVELOPE US..DREW AND BELLA....A COUPLE WHO Captures OUR SOUL ON THEIR JOURNEY....

It took me longer than usual to read this book. Not because it wasn’t good but because I didn’t want it to end. Drew and Bella about killed me! The angst was so strong! I was truly worried about how it would end! But no fear there is finally a HEA ending!

Inconsistent
For having Christmas in the title there isn't a lot around Christmas. I found the timing of things odd, and seemed to switch around. The main characters were barely actually together, and it was almost always the same conversation.

this was a very close call for completing my book challenge! the fmc's banter was really entertaining the mmc was there the whole time basically in love with her. it was great. didn't give me many christmas vibes towards the start but it did get more christmassy as we went along!!
