i was gonna give it 2 stars, but then she called her bf’s stepdad “daddy” while he was fucking her and i simply could not. yeah, it wasn’t her being fucked by the stepdad and the son at the same time that threw me off…it was that.

i would just like to inform everyone that i wrote that little paragraph BEFORE i read the epilogue thinking surely it couldn’t get any worse…then they fucked her in the same hole at the same time (her coochie to give y’all the full picture, sorry!) and proved me wrong. that really solidified my 1 star rating.

siffie said i could choose the next novella. she feels bad for having us read this, but idk why because i’ll definitely be finding something worse than this for us to scar ourselves with LMAO

"Shared With His Step-Dad" would have been the correct title, lol.
I'm not into taboo so I was relieved to see this was milder than the title suggested. Plus, Cade and Evie were in their mid twenties, and Griffin (Cade's stepdad) in his forties, so I was good on the consenting-adults front, too (very consenting, yay).

This is was sweet, spicy, and kinda wholesome, too?

And very stereotype-y. Two perfect men adoring a shy (well..) and insecure woman (you know: she thinks she's unlovable and average), falling over themselves to show her just how perfect she is for them.. with words and yes you guessed it, sex!

The sex scenes were many, and did feel after a bit like the author was checking off her to-do list of possible MFM sex-positions.
Another book with a sex epilogue, I'm afraid. Counterbalanced by so much love I maybe was a tiny bit jealous (being an average woman with just one partner to reassure her of her worth, hmpf).

Rounding up to 4 stars, because it was fun, I really loved how deeply Caden and Griffin cared for each other, and for once I refuse to let my grumpy and nitpicky self take over.

This novella was everything!! Eve and Cole are already in a relationship and are going to spend the Hoildays with Coles step dad. Griffin, there's some spark between Grif and Eve, but she tries not to think much of it since she has a boyfriend, but it seems her boyfriend doesn't mind.
The more they spend at the cabin, the more lines blur, and 2 become 3. It's easier for the guys to get into it. It took Eve a second because she thought she would lose everything.

Well, put a bow on it and call me a Ho-Ho-Hoe because I’m here for it. I devoured this book and left no crumbs. T’was it the greatest Christmas story ever told no.. but that’s not what we’re looking for if we’re reading this. Bahaha.
But great amount of spice that’s builds. And the perfect novella to scratch that Christmas itch.

I reactivated my KU specifically to read this novella, but I have to admit that I was underwhelmed. The setup was great but there was a disconnect for me, especially with the smut. It felt a bit surface level and I didn’t click with it the way I had hoped.

The “I love you” talk between her and Griffin (stepdad) also felt very out of nowhere and beyond insta-love. In a novella this short, I’m good with a HFN and don’t need a declaration of undying love after they’ve only spent a couple of days together, but that’s just me.

Also, lack of time and prep for things such as DP and DVP is so frustrating as we head into 2025 and I need authors to do better. You really expect me to believe that she went from zero experience in those areas to doing it painlessly in one try?! 😑

If you want a better (and much spicier) representation of DVP that’s hot af and includes a fully fleshed out story, read Sugar Daddies by Jade West.

Що ж до сюжету цієї новели, є три головні герої Єва і її хлопець Коул, та вітчим Коула — Гріффін.

Єва не ідеальної модельної зовнішності, що для мене плюс бо вже набридають ці ідеальні 90-60-90🫣 через це вона має багато комплексів. А ще коли вона була маленька з сімʼї пішов батько, а матір почала звинувачувати її в цьому, через це в Єви розвинулося почуття що вона нікому не потрібна і завжди заважає.

Коул найпопулярніший хлопець і зелений прапорець, те як він підтримував Єву і кожен раз давав зрозуміти, що вона неповторна і дуже красива - це прекрасно. Його стосунки ж відчимом, я не зовсім зрозуміла, вони доволі близькі і дружні, але оцей момент що вони хочуть ділити одну жінку на двох то трошки не моє🫣😂

Гріффін - це взагалі майже загадка, все що нам про нього дала авторка, він дуже красивий (йому вже за 40 років), високий та має якийсь прибутковий бізнес. Ну і також був взахваті від Єви і поклонявся її красі, та намагався розвіяти комплекси які вона собі навʼязувала👌🏻

Тут дуже-дуже багато спайсі, є такі сцени що я була в шоці а саме у епілозі👀 Є трішки різдвяної атмосфери та загалом зимовий вайб❄️(якого так зараз бракує)
Впринципі мені було весело, коли я читала - якщо не шукати ніякого сенсу і не сприймати серйозно як і просила авторка то ця новела не погана🙃
І я була готова поставити їй 4⭐️, але після епілогу і тих сцен 18+ — це 3⭐️ (ну бо то було не реально😅)
