Rate this book
Isabelle Becker is at a stay trapped in Boston’s relentless poverty or take a leap of faith and become a Mail Order Bride. With little to lose, she chooses to start over in the shadow of Colorado’s Bitterroot Mountains, marrying rancher Ethan Callahan.

Ethan is everything Isabelle hoped for—steadfast, kind, and devoted to his two children—but she soon discovers he is still deeply grieving the recent loss of his wife. As Isabelle tries to carve out her place in his family, she finds herself competing with the memory of a love she can never replace. When Ethan hesitates to set a wedding date, Isabelle realizes he’s as uncertain about their future as she is.

As Christmas approaches, Isabelle and Ethan must find the courage to let go of the past and embrace the promise of a new beginning—one filled with healing, hope, and the possibility of love.

Susannah Calloway loves everything Western! And if a delightful romance is thrown into the mix, ahhh!, even better!

Susannah has always been intrigued with the Western movement - prairie days, mail-order brides, the gold rush, frontier life! As a writer, she's excited to combine her love of story with her love of all that is Western.

Presently, Susannah lives in Wyoming with her hubby and their three amazing children. (Her little cowpokes!) The whole family enjoys riding and grooming their four horses! (Belter is Susannah's favorite!)

So-so.

The most interesting part of this story is how the main character came to be a mail-order bride. The most interesting character is the groom's sister. The groom and his children are peripheral at best and contribute absolutely nothing to the abrupt attempt at resolving what's supposed to be conflict. Formulaic and basic with few details.
This review is generic because I didn't want to add spoilers.

Inspiring

Doesn't matter what age, loss and heartbreak exists and hard to recover. What wonderful characters, you can just feel them. Beautiful story.
