Should I be concerned about how much I enjoyed these books? I don't know what it is about inanimate object smut that ends up being a palette cleanser. lol
Since this was the 2nd in the series I liked that it had a little more story to it & not just spice. The spiciness 🌶 was still there! This one even felt a tiny bit sad at 1 point.
Second installment of the weird, kinky, stuffie smut. Though I feel this one had more plot than the first and that may be its downfall. Was definitely not as good as the first. The writing was all over the place. Grandma dies and they are at the church for a wedding? They sneak off to have sex and someone knocks on the door. Chapter ends. It’s never mentioned again? Mom goes off to surgery and then they are back home like nothing ever happened? There’s so many missing time holes. I feel like this was written just to introduce the next character/book, which I don’t think I will be reading. 2.5 ⭐️

I liked the first book better, this one was short and the scenes were so choppy. Sure there was more plot but they were at her parents house and then what? Back at her place? There was no indication that they even left her parents. When her grandmother died it said they were attending a wedding but it was a funeral. There were quite a few spelling errors. Yes it is a smut book I’ll give it that. I do like that it’s different and out of the box.

This was such a goofy and smutty read. I can't believe how well the author turned this into a trilogy. I've already pre ordered the 3rd book. There's still some decent plot going on, enough to keep the story going. The whole thing is ridiculous, but I couldn't stop reading it. There were some typos and other grammar issues, but not nearly enough to DNF it. Another great palate cleanser.
Overall reco: This added some interesting addition world building but I don't think it held up to the first story. We moved through a lot of plot in a short time and it truly felt like a bridge between the the first and third books. But also a bit like a thought experiment. Like "what happens after"? what happens after the dildo becomes a man, the door becomes a man, that pebble walks off into the ocean. Yeah, it didn't live up to the first novella, but it was still interesting. The Spice was still very hot, lots of risky scenes and different kinks. Enjoyable. I'm not sure if I will read the 3rd installment, hop!. Maybe at some point, but I'm not in a rush.
With as much as I enjoyed the first one I thought this would be better than it was. I was quite disappointed. Honestly I'd say to just skip this one and stop at Teddy unless Teddy's Embrace happens to get a better editor and some much needed *major* revisions. The continuation of the story was ok I guess, but it felt like a first draft that was just slap-dashed together. It desperately needs more work. I did think Aliyah's dad was hilarious and gave me "Arthur Weasley when the boys fly the enchanted car to rescue Harry" vibes when he finds out about Teddy. Overall, it was just pretty much middle of the road.
I really enjoyed this book. Is the premise out there? Yes but it's fun.
This is the second book in the series. In the first book, Aliyah wishes, Teddy would come alive. And he does. In this book, aaliyah goes back home to help her mom prepare for surgery. Teddy joins Aliyah on her trip home.
This book has the same antics as the first one, but it definitely adds more to the story because it gets further in the relationship and Teddy meets her parents.
Okay, 5 stars simply because I love the story. I absolutely ADORED the first book and eagerly preordered this one. That said, I do feel like the writing was hastily done and poorly edited. It doesn’t give a lot of heads up when scenes switch within chapters, there are tons of grammar/spelling errors, and the mom’s last name switches between pages maybe? Otherwise, this is as close to “comfy cozy” as inanimate object smut gets!!

I read this and not because I have a weird fetish but honestly this book was a fast read, and it was oddly hilarious too. I didn’t expect it to keep my attention to the end.
