Sweetest B Sobjakken read ever.
I’m giving this a how to get over the loss of your toxic ex wife by getting under your best friend, stamp of approval. This is probably the least taboo read I’ve ever read from this author. Spicy and sweet with a dash of spite.

When I read this, I happened to just really be in the mood for it. Otherwise, could def see myself having sort of disliked it.
It’s about best friends Trent and Ethan. Trent’s been in love w/ Ethan for years. Ethan was with the same woman since 17 yrs old & she recently died. He found out she was unfaithful & there’s a child that may or may not be his. He struggles w/ this the majority of the book.
At first I was like HELL NO; I loathe the dead ex trope. And I do still hate it but it was better bc it started off with Ethan going on about how he “wasted so long on that cunt” and basically hating her. Butttt it’s mentioned by Trent how Ethan did love/was in love with wife (prior to knowing about the affair). It’s a short story and I was too deep in (kinda like Ethan to Trent’s ASS) and saw it through.
Just beware….it’s heavy on Ethan thinking about ex wife :///
By end of story I was happy they got together but mostly bc of how much I loved Ethan and his pain/pining 😭♥️
Def didn’t need to write this much ab a 96 pg story but oh well (O_O)!

Ethan and Trent have been best friends since they were kids. Something happens and after that they start realizing maybe, just maybe, they want to take their friendship to a whole other level 🔥 I don’t read much MM but if B Sobjakken writes it, I’ll read it. I enjoyed the story so much and honesty these two were the cutest.

I usually love everything B. Sobjakken puts out, but I didn’t feel this one. Didn’t really enjoy the story and felt like I was also missing a lot of information.
Trent (30-ish, openly bi) returns to help his “buddy” Ethan (30-ish, bi-curious?) deal with the aftermath of his wife’s death. Ethan informs his long-distance BFF that his wife was cheating on him and had a whole other life, and child, in London. Since the child might be his, the two friends decide to travel to London and confront the other man in his deceased wife’s life (maybe hiring a PI would have been cheaper??).The two deal with the emotions that Ethan is experiencing, Trent’s repressed attraction to his BFF, and when they finally go there, the consequences of acting on a physical attraction when one person isn’t in a place to start a new relationship.
SEX: Meh. Too slow of a burn. They watch each other masturbate at 41%, the oral at 57%, and full penetration at 81%. They use lube, no condoms. At least that’s a plus.
STORY: The biggest part of the story was dealing with Ethan’s wife’s infidelity, and it was kind of depressing. He was wrecked and a lot of time was spent on that. There was a LOT of info that was in the background. I felt like I was trying to play catch-up on a sitcom that was already midseason.
ENDING: Yes, there’s a HEA, but right before that…. Dude…. I was PISSED. This is a spoiler so you might not want to know.
It’s safe to say, I don’t recommend this.

Thank God she finished when she did cause I was going to cry. When I see one of ofnthe B Sobjakken books I think of the most unhinged smut that could possibly happen is about to happen. the last one? the accidental pregnancy? crazy. the whole time I was sitting there like you just let it happen? Just didnt say anything? but this one? whew. this was different. this was emotional. spicy too, but emotional.
Seeing Ethan and Trent's lives come back together after death should be filled with bittersweet memories of the person who died and instead you see what a raging CU let me calm down. anywho you see how terrible Ethan's wife was but as the book goes on you realize a. she was terrible and b. she knew. she knew 100% and she was selfish and didn't want to deal with the break up and letting Trent "win". Seeing Ethan deal with heartbreak after heartbreak to then see what he does... Trent unfortunately was right and so was Marie, really Marie is the best character cause she knows her brother and his bestie so well she knew exactly what was going to happen. anywho seeing that happen, had to take a break and come back and their reunion? like I said at the beginning thank God she stopped it when she did cause that was the sweetest thing ive ever heard and I hope that the wife saw all that every day and knew what it all meant 😌

Ethan & Trent have been best friends since they were kids, and in this story we see them reunited in a moment of loss. While Trent is there to comfort Ethan as a friend would, there seems to be a sudden shift in their dynamic. Trent has secretly always loved Ethan, but Ethan is straight and therefore couldn’t reciprocate those feelings…right? But as these two navigate through Ethan’s major life shift, it seems like both of their lives may be about to change.
Leave it to B. Sobjakken to be able to write a novella that can get me to laugh, cry, then giggle and kick my feet all in less than 100 pages. While this story is less “forbidden” than the rest of the immoral starts series, it definitely still fits under this category! It is by far one of my favorites so far and further proves that B. Sobjakken can knock any storyline out of the park! If you like the tropes this story has to offer, you need to read it NOW!!

Trent and Ethan has been bestfriends since childhood. Trent is bisexual and has been in love with Ethan for a long time. Ethan's wife, who he has been with since he was 17 years old, has passed away and Trent is there to support him.
Ethan's wife and her family are horrible people and comes from money. I couldn't stand them. They just manipulated Ethan and kept him away from Trent. He finds out that she has been cheating on him and gave birth to a secret baby in London. To hide her secret, her father sent her to London to start up a company there for him, while she finished out her pregnancy and give birth.
Ethan decides to travel to London to find out if the baby is his and Trent agrees to go along with him. During their stay he discovers his attraction and feelings towards Trent is strong and they both give into their desires. Ethan is broken and confused with everything is going on. Trent has always been their and Ethan can't and doesn't want a life without him.
This is a short Bi-Awakening read that will pull at your heart strings. I felt so sad for Ethan and how broken he was and how he regretted so much in his life. His wife and her family just held him back from what he truly ever wanted in life.

There’s nothing I love more than a spicy novella. The Immoral Starts novellas are top tier. These books are such a blast and sometimes just over the top… but I love them!
Desperate Temptation is definitely less unhinged but I loved it just as much as the other ones. This story made me feel all kinds of emotions. One moment I was laughing out loud and then the next minute I was fanning myself because it started getting hot in here. While this might be a novella, this story does take you on a ride, and by the end I was craving more.
Ethan and Trent have been best friends forever even when Lyndsey joined the picture. Now Lyndsey has passed away, all Trent wants to do is pick up the pieces. Both of these characters had me in a chokehold and wouldn’t let up. I loved them both so much.
I loved this story so much. It honestly felt like a breath of fresh air. I definitely recommend checking this one out and also the other books in the Immoral Starts series!

I couldn't put this down I wish I could say that I didn't cry throughout this whole book but I did Trent is so in love with Ethan that he's willing to put his needs aside for Ethan I felt Ethan's anger throughout this entire book his confusion his disbelief It was saddening to watch but what gutted me the most was the words 6 months later I cried more in that moment than I ever had before and to know the fact that they both needed to grow was an understatement I've read a lot of MM romances that Are underrated in my opinion but this 1 definitely was compassionate and it was friends to lovers You definitely want more of them you can't put it down and you also get a bond that is like no other Also you find a history that has been embedded in decade worth of denial and then it's put into the best rewriting of a story ever

She always perfectly captures spice, taboo, and consuming love stories that I literally cannot get enough of! This one was no different. I loved Ethan and Trent’s story as they went from friends to so much more. Those two had an undeniable level of chemistry, but more than that, they truly cared for one another. That shined on every page of this book and I loved it!

Ahhh my girl does it again!!!! I swear no one writes short spicy novellas like B. This is book 6 in the Immoral Starts series.
This story follows Ethan and Trent who have been best friends since they were teens – Ethan has always had a crush on Trent. When Trent’s wife dies and leaves a huge secret behind, Ethan is there to hold up Trent. But somewhere between hurt and anger, they both fall into bed – except one is left completely broken while the other runs scared.
I eat this up in on night.

Once again bowing down to the smutty novella QUEEN! Brooke nails it everytime, pun intended! These novellas are quick, HOT, fun and honestly emotional and heartfelt if you have a dirty little slutty heart! I loved the friends to lovers in this bi awakening besties MM romance. Even with the short page count we got a glimpse into Trent and Ethan’s past and the always there feelings! The journey was perfect and I think the 3rd act made complete sense to what Ethan was going through! And his grovel was perfect! Trent was the most patient man and understood Ethan perfectly! Loved these two so much!

Trent and Ethan have been best friends since they were kids. With Ethan marrying his high school sweetheart, Lyndsey, the two slowly drifted apart. With Lyndsey's death and betrayal, Trent is quick to come to Ethan's aid.
As for all of Brooke's novellas, this one is short and spicy. I'm not the biggest fan of MM without the F romances, but I knew the author would leave me with a good time.
I wanted some more groveling and a longer book, but I know the deal when it comes to Brooke and her novellas. Short and spicy like I said above.

Sobjakken is an emotional telling of how Ethan (MMC) and Trent (MMC) find love when it is unexpected and how they recognize and come to terms with their feelings for one another. They must resolve these feelings, and this story moved through this. The supporting characters add richness to this book – Ethan’s wife is such a horrible person. The spice and steam evolves as their chemistry does. 🔥🔥🔥
I enjoyed this novella. Brooke knows how to weave complicated stories with many layers.
