My Reading Journal (Grades 4-6) is the ultimate guided journal for kids aged 9-12 in Key Stage 2. About the author

Y. Y. Chan was born in Hong Kong but grew up in sunny Brisbane, Australia where she had Christmas during summer. She returned to Hong Kong to teach English after graduating from university. When her father passed away, she took a break from teaching to travel, read, and write. She now tutors English and works freelance for different educational institutes.

Her best writing comes out late at night when everyone else is asleep. 'Can You Hear Me, Daddy?' is her debut book. When she is not writing or teaching, she is either reading or looking for more books to add to her overflowing bookshelf.

My Reading Journal Grades 1-3 & My Reading Journal Grades 4-6 are phenomenal, interactive, fun, educational, and easy to use journals! These journals are, "A Guided Journal For Kids To Keep Track Of Their Reading" and wow are they helpful! I wish I had a reading journal like this as a child. I would have loved it and know as a homeschooler my mom would have loved it too! This journal is undoubtedly designed to inspire a life long love of reading!

The formatting of these books is so fun and organized! I love that these journals include a section for reading goals, a reading plan, an explanation of how to use the journal, age appropriate reading tips, a reading log, reading reflection tasks which differ by grade level and for fiction versus nonfiction, a section which encourages book reviews/gives ideas on how to write a review, reading bingo, make your own design book marks, and a certificate of achievement. These journals truly have it all! I adore that there are multiple journals available so readers can graduate by grade level and continue their reading journey!

This excellent journal, created for children in grades 4 to 6, teaches skills such as setting reading goals and creating a reading plan, using a reading log, and writing a book review. Inspirational quotes are also written throughout the book to promote a love for reading. The journal includes a Reading Bingo Challenge game and a final activity to design bookmarks. How fun is that! This journal is a fantastic teaching tool that can be used for homeschooling and the classroom and to encourage children to discover a love for reading. It is highly recommended!
