Some began flying away as the officer approached. He treaded lightly through the beige wheat, attempting to see what the large birds were feeding on. The rest of the search group stood twelve paces back, nervous and unsure. Nathan could feel his mouth going dry. His vision started tunneling, focusing only on the officer as he crept closer to the horrid smell. Lauren held his hand. One last black vulture remained, blocking the corpse from the officer. He waved his hand and yelled for it to get. As the bird fled, the officer turned toward the group.

Great book
I really liked this mysterg.the author did a wonderful of job of keeping wanting mote, so I couldn't put it gown

A perfect weekend read. Fast-paced, good plot, and a rising tension that ends in a great climatic finish!
