When a new planet is up for grabs, a family will revolt and vampiric desires will stir, in the fourth installment of this epic apocalypse adventure series.
Millions of demons have taken notice of vampire warlock Riven Thane. Following his triumphant massacre at Daskus, victory over the cultists, and rescue of the succubus Fay, he’s earned a fearsome reputation and a substantial rise on the power ladder. Now he’s fostering a new empire and feeling invincible—or he would be if not for an unexpected snag in his own nefarious bloodline.
Riven’s due inheritance is a high-grade planet called Lutseki, a prominent trading hub that manages transported goods throughout the Blood Moon Requiem. It’s a fifty million vampires and eleven billion enslaved, all of whom Riven and his sister, Allie, are destined to rule. But not if their distant, low-tier punk relatives have anything to say about it. Their aim is to sell off Lutseki as fast as they can to other nobles and make a fortune. Leave it to family to bring out Riven’s bad side.
Meanwhile, others from faraway planets have injected themselves into the situation as well. Worst of all, Rippenvire—another faction of bloodthirsty vampires not bound to Riven’s ancestral homeland—has its sights set on the Kingdom of Dawn and the budding civilizations surrounding it.
Things are heating up, and war is coming. But that’s never stopped the Thane siblings before . . .

This book should have been as good as the other three. If only the romance drama wasn't there. Honestly, the fact that it was there isn't the problem. The problem is that all the romantic drama read like something a virgin would think was actual romantic drama. It came off as inane and childish. The rest of the book was fine. But, that romantic crap ruined a good book.
why turn an excellent series into a daytime soap opera.
Giving this book this rating because one there are a lot of inconsistencies in the story. First of all the minor one is vampires don’t age, so how can you have old vampires. Two, we don’t need. The romantic angst of do I love you don’t I love you, he said, she said, it takes away from the story and takes away from the action that we are looking for in this book. Don’t know why the author went in this direction, but all the daytime soap opera shenanigans was not necessary. You could’ve given us more character, progression and strength for the MC and his sister. It’s better when they are together than separate. As far as the MC‘s minions are concerned the author should’ve never messed with them and thrown in a romantic triangle, it wasn’t necessary. That’s at least in my opinion. Hopefully the next book will be more action oriented, more power, progression, less daytime soap opera. Hijinks. The MC and his sister have enough issues with dealing with external forces, they don’t need to have a house divided. what does the O axiom say a house divided against itself cannot stand. get the MC and his crew back on track because they have to deal with Multiverse full of trouble. I could’ve been a lot harder on this story, but I hope the MC has some beta readers who have some spine to tell him when he is going off the beaten path, that’s as I say in my opinion. you may like the story even with the daytime soap opera elements. Some of it was. OK but a little bit too much.
I really like this series the first two book were good and worth 3.5 star IMO with book 4 being even better and 4 stars!
I liked book 4 as even though there was two LI's for our MC he was not the simpy type and when their sniping at each other got seriously he put them both in a time out. I like this as it indicated too me the author wouldn't pull the usual crap and make the mistake of most herem books.
I just hate it when harem books with a good story turn all the women into love struck morons who think their man is the bestest, strongest, best lover with a bestest hugest cock ever and would do ANYTHING for him cause he can do no wrong etc etc. I also hate it when they are turned into angry backstabbing harpies he constantly has to police...its like these author do not understand polygamy especially when they think just because guy has a harem they are all willing to let in any good looking woman into said harem...just because a group practices polygamy does not mean they are all compatible. Harem book authors like to either pretend all women are compatible and will hold hands with any chick wanting to fuck their man or turn them them into nasty emotionally immature people just to insert "drama".
The author lost a star and went from 4 star to 3 because of how badly he handled this stupid love triangle with Rivan, Athela and Fay... there no way in fuck our MC could not have sat them both down and told them making him choose like this was hurting him terribly and would only make him unhappy no matter which choice he made. He should, have just told them if they couldn't stomach and accept he loved them both and all be together he could respect that but then they would just have to continue as friends only and he would not have a relationship beyond that with either of them.
Also the way the author handled this on the MC's side....he loves both but is too stupid to realize it until Athela dies (for realsish) and Fay get tortured and almost dies for realsish.....then while saving Fey and finding a way to save Athela he hooks up with Fay and starts thinking of her as his "girlfriend"...this just felt gross and wrong...I dont feel the MC would really have acted like this considering his past behavior and I don't mean about the drug induced shagging but what happens after. Then suddenly athela comes back to life and though she never declared her love to him and threatens to perma kill Fay he is forced to choose between them and he chooses suddenly dump his (in his own mind) girlfriend fey to instead choose Athela and start calling her his girlfriend and is also now suddenly okay with getting married with her... eh duh wtf is this shit. He IMO would have took to non simpy choice and told them he couldnt choose between them so he would have no relationship with either. It's stupid they Fey and Athela were so adamant he had to choose and fkin stupid even Fey mom felt that way IMO. They all three of them acted stupidly and out of character IMO It' isn't all on Fey like how the authors is making it at the end of the book. Athela acted like coward and wouldnt admit how she felt to Rivan yet wanted to "reserved him" for herself and pushed as such which is why Fey was too stupid and afraid to talk and work something out with her meanwhile our MC acted like a douche and simp and went from one interest to the other like a drunken sailor looking for a cheap lay and was too cowardly to examine his own feelings and own up to it to both of them. I also do not like how the author seems to be peddling kathrine as another LI only if to appease grandma and the elders......
Now that said if this was some temp drama resolved in this book I might have been like eh okay but the fact this stupid shit is gonna drag on and on is super bleh and not fun at all.
I did really like how Allie found love with someone really wholesome and is willing to fight for him....I mean wtf Riven and wtf isn't Azmoth slapping the back of the MC head while telling him to stop being a simp. Now lets add in sweet dear grandma expects them to act like good little properly trained breeding stock (this was expected though as I knew them falling in line with the blood moon shit was gonna go poof at some point) it makes me feel like bleh.
I hope this love drama BS get resolved in the next book.....so both Rivan and Allie can prepare to get stronger so when the blood moon elders come around they can tell them to go suck an egg.
A marked decrease in quality compared to previous installments. The plot felt extremely unfocused, there were significantly more typos and incorrectly used vocabulary, including at least one editing note that was left in, and multiple scenes had back to back nearly identical sentences, as though the author rewrote a description and didn’t delete the original sentence.
I don’t even want to talk about how detracting the Netflix teen drama relationship stuff was.
