In Between Storms by Michael Darin is a captivating debut novel that blends adventure, magic, and history into a rich, atmospheric narrative. While this isn't typically a genre I gravitate towards, I found myself quickly drawn into the action and the world created. The pacing is fast, and the plot is engaging, with just the right amount of mystery and tension to keep you hooked. As a first novel, it’s impressive! The storytelling is immersive, making it easy to overlook the unfamiliar territory I have of the genre. (And pronouncing the characters names lol). If you enjoy a mix of fantasy, magical elements, and storytelling this is definitely worth a read! 📖

AUTHOR REVIEW - Drawn back to a time, when fantasy was an epic conflict and high adventure. The book is a dive into the world of Sancta, where right now only the surface is being scratched. What looks to be the start of a massive world-building endeavor and a depth of lore to rival other large fantasy worlds, you follow several characters as they learn about their true selves and desires, as their lives are blown in different directions depending on the winds.
