Emerson “Sunni” Day has no one. Her mother is a gambling addict, and her father works on oil rigs and couldn’t care less about her. On the first day of Kindergarten, she meets a girl named Delia Badd. Delia is the oldest daughter of Sebastian and Dru Badd. Over the years, Emerson becomes more and more like family to the Badds, until eventually, she lives with them and considers Delia her sister and Duncan and Dane—Bast and Dru’s hellraiser sons—her brothers. Now, she’s home for the holidays and about to graduate college. She’s got no plans to meet anyone. Her future is soccer—making the US Women’s National Team. That’s it. Anything—and anyone—else is just a distraction.
Hayden McCaffrey’s entire world is his parents. He went to college in town, works from home so he can be near them, and has no plans to change anything. And then, a few weeks before his parents were set to go on a fiftieth-anniversary Christmas cruise to Alaska, tragedy strikes, and Hayden finds himself accompanying his mother on the cruise. And he hates boats. With low expectations for their first Christmas after the tragedy, Hayden certainly isn’t expecting to meet a beautiful, fiery redhead with a giant, crazy, adopted family.
The Badds do what they do pull Hayden and his mother into their orbit and make them feel welcome. Sparks fly between Hayden and Emerson. Sparks are one thing, falling in love and making two completely different lives fit together? That’s a whole different ball game.
Take a sleigh ride with Hayden, Emerson, Bast, Dru, and all the rest of your favorite Badd and Goode characters in this full-length return to the world of the Badd Brothers, set twenty years after the events of the original series. It’s going to be a Very Badd Christmas, indeed.

Absolutely love this family and their antics . Always big laughs little sadness , but always a great family togetherness can't wait for more Hard stories
I am so excited for the next generation of the Badd family books. I absolutely loved the Badd Brothers book series and am dying to read the rest of the books in this new series! Jasinda knows how to hit the ball out of the park when she writes. The first book in this series has everything you read about in the original Badd series, angsty, funny, found family, and love. It was a perfect Christmas love story.
Hayden’s dad just died before thanksgiving. But his parents were supposed to go on a Christmas cruise to Alaska that was already paid for. Rather than give it away, Hayden and his mom go together. Emerson has been part of Sebastian badds family since she made friends with his daughter at six years old. Abandoned pretty much by her bio parents, she has always been their kid too. She is home for Christmas break after winning a national championship for her college as the soccer goalie. Her plans are to go pro after graduation. After docking in Ketchikan, Hayden goes out into town by himself and ends up at badd kitty, Emerson is there visiting Delia, Sebastian’s daughter, who is bartending. She sits next to Hayden and sparks fly. After a long chat, Hayden realizes he needs a suit to go to dinner with his mom on the ship and he doesn’t have one. He’s the same size as one of basts boys so Emerson takes him to the house to borrow the suit. They have a make out session. He meets bast and dru and the boys and then gets sucked into Christmas with the badds. The next day he and his mother go to the house and all the badds have gathered. They’re brought into the family in a hurry. In the span of three days Hayden and Emerson are smitten and realize they’ve been hit with the badd love spell since all the badds fall in love in like an instant. In the end, Hayden’s mom decides to sell the house in Indiana, pack everything up and go on a one month vacation with Olivia, who was also a widow, to learn how to move on and enjoy life. She convinces Hayden to go for it with Emerson and when it’s time for the ship to leave, Hayden stays behind with Emerson.

Emerson is coming home for the holidays that’s in Ketchikan,Alaska to her adopted family not expecting to find someone to love. One day she goes into the family bar and grill to see her adopted sister when she meets Hayden he’s in town from a cruise ship he has taken this trip with his mom because she couldn’t get her money back even after the sudden death of her husband so her a Hayden went on the trip. To try to help with the grief. He takes a call from his mom and she reminds him of the dance that night on the ship but he didn’t pack a suit. That’s where Emerson comes in two of her brothers are about Hayden’s size. So that’s what gets these two started. So enjoy the read and see how the Badd family draw in Hayden and his mom into their family for the Holidays!!
OMG! It has been a while since I read a Jasinder Wilder book and now I am kicking myself for it. I absolutely loved this book. Everything was perfection! The story line flowed and was very engaging, the characters were relatable and charismatic, the romance was heart-melting and the spice was delicious. And on top of this was the bonus of seeing the members of the past Badd brothers books. Hayden is definitely a top tier book boyfriend and I have to give extra props for the amazing communication between all the characters - especially the conversation about life, death and moving on. Loved, loved, loved it!
Loved being back in Alaska with the Badd family. Emerson li especially with the Badd family when she is home from school. She is a Soccer player who aims to play for USA Team. While she is on holiday she meets Hayden. Hayden and is mother are in Alaska on a cruise. One afternoon Hayden is at Badd Kitty Bar when Emerson walks in, takes a seat while he is watching her reply. These two are fun. I love how she says what's on her mind and doesn't hold back. Hayden is a bit shyer then Emerson. Can this holiday romance last.
I didn't care for the drinking or smoking cigars/weed. I felt like they were pressuring the mmc into it even though they said that they weren't. It was also at a huge family event with lots of children around. Not very smart parenting...
Also, the mfc could have made more of an effort versus the mmc always sacrificing. She's all for equality, but it just didn't feel very balanced. He was practically a saint.
His mom rocked!

We’re back with the Badds! Though sadly something was missing in this one. Everything seemed rather vanilla compared to previous installments. Dru & even Bast seemed to lack that fire they had as characters. Maybe parenthood really simmered them down? Dru a house wife? Surprising to me. Emerson & Hayden were cute enough but pages & pages were dedicated to apologizing & explaining themselves over & over. I’ll keep reading the Badd series until it ends though, can’t stop now!
It has been awhile since I have read a book all in one sitting - this was a good one to binge read for sure.
Just enough back stories without going overboard, enough of every thing else as well. Happy times, sexy times, laughs, sadness. This one felt like it had more realness than some of the other books in the series.
Love this series! Only thing that could make it better is if all 17 books were done in Audiobooks! I would buy every single one even though I own the Kindle versions already! That’s how you can tel when a series is good (or Badd in this case 🥰)
Great short read in the wonderful Alaskan world of the Badd family. So great to see them open their hearts to Hayden and his mom. Really great to see the next gen coming along.
Perfect holiday read with the promise of maybe some more next genners???
I was so excited for this! Seeing all the OG’s in the book and how far their lives have come. I loved these two. Absolutely looking forward to the next one. Already preordered it!
Can't even imagine all of the Badd's and Goode's getting together for Christmas. Kaye, in my opinion, made the correct decision. Yes, it was a good ride while it lasted but now it's gone. Move forward, take that first step towards tomorrow.
This is the 18th book in the Badd Brothers series. It is the story of computer nerd Hayden McCaffery and college soccer star Emerson Day. Hayden and his mother are in Ketchikan on a cruise when he meets Emerson. The attraction is instant and powerful. Can they overcome geography?
Loved that you are moving into the lives of the Badd children. It makes me want to go back and start at the beginning of the Badd series, again.... So good.....
