The nature of this study is cherry-picking scripture so I wouldn’t recommend to a new believer. However, this study has so many good focuses: rereading passages, connecting the OT and NT, annotating passages, and actively looking for attributes of God in a passages.

Wow!!! This study transformed the way that I read Scripture and made connections between the Old and New Testament that I had never seen before.

DGC will equip you with tools to confidently explore how Jesus is present from Genesis onward. The study guides you through both Old and New Testament passages, showing how they echo, fulfill, and illuminate one another. It’s not just a theological exercise—it’s a worshipful journey. Each day builds on the last, helping you trace the golden thread of Christ’s presence through laws, prophecies, and promises.

What makes this volume exceptional is its ability to unify the Testaments without flattening their richness. You’ll see how Jesus isn’t just introduced in the Gospels—He’s foreshadowed in the Garden of Eden, promised to Abraham, and revealed in Exodus. The reflections are Scripture-based, yet explains the connections to where you understand them with ease.

Whether you’re new to Bible study or seasoned in the Word, this volume will deepen your awe and anchor your faith. It’s not just a study—it’s a lens that forever changes how you see the Bible: as one story, one Savior, one hope.

I’ve really enjoyed this first book in the series. I find that it resonates more deeply with me when I strive to spread out the “work” over 4 or 5 days, though. I appreciate the bridges between Old and New Testaments as well as the challenge to read the Bible as a revelation of God rather than a moralistic instruction book. The more I know and the deeper I love God, the more I will cultivate the morals that align with the character of God.

This study is phenomenal. I love how it is helping me stay consistent in his word and seek who God is in each passage instead of what I can get out of it.

There’s not fluff- straight scripture with guiding questions as you annotate one passage in the Old and one in New Testament each week and how they are connected in God’s promises!

Highly recommend!

By far my favorite guided study I’ve ever done. Excited for volume 2! Totally recommend if you want to take a deep dive into scripture for Christ connections, but wouldn’t recommend to a new believer who is not super familiar with the overarching narrative and timeline of the Bible.

There were times when I wished they would go deeper or even cover one of the questions for that day.

I appreciate this look at Christ in scripture. It has changed how I view Bible verses.
