Rate this book
1802: In the untamed wilds of Mexico and beyond, Arthur embarks on a perilous journey fueled by a singular uncovering the secrets of plants tied to ancient gods. What begins as a botanist’s quest for discovery quickly transforms into a harrowing odyssey. When he meets Sabrett, an enigmatic vampire with ties to powerful deities, he is pulled into a world of supernatural forces.

Joined by Eleanor, a fiercely independent botanist with an agenda, and Jeanne Marie, a voodoo priestess, Arthur must navigate the jungle’s mystical dangers and face both benevolent and fearsome gods. As secrets are revealed and their alliances grow strained, the group confronts threats from the mystical world and their shifting beliefs about loyalty and love.

With a vampire war looming and a sinister voodoo priest rising to power, Arthur’s survival depends on the gifts the jungle gods granted to him. Facing enemies both seen and unseen, the group is thrust into an epic struggle where sacrifice is inevitable, and the fate of all may hang in the balance.

Divinity Blooms is a spellbinding tale of adventure, myth, and self-discovery that blurs the line between the earthly and the ethereal. Perfect for fans of paranormal historical fantasy.

Author Bio:
The official bit, S. Hall-Wood spent 18 years as a landscaper and garden designer, building her business from the ground up, starting at the kitchen table of a council house. Her passion for plants and design was deeply influenced by her mother, a Western herbalist, and her father, a Chinese herbalist, fostering a unique understanding of both horticulture and natural healing.
As a mother of five (two grown and flown), she balances her family life with her creative pursuits. While her writing experience has primarily focused on gardening articles and client briefs, she is now enthusiastically expanding into fiction, embracing the craft with dedication and passion.

Now the unofficial bit:
Hi thank you for reading my book and I genuinely hope you enjoy it. If you want to find me to interact I’m on social media as Shadowkraft or Shadowkraftbooks. I hope to see you there.
I am not a writer that grew up dreaming of publishing a book. These stories came to me while I was working and would not be quiet until I got them on paper. I have long adored periods dramas, historical fiction, and myths and legends. I thoroughly enjoyed mixing these up to give you my new Prophecy series, starting with book 1 Never Yours

This is the second book in the Prophecy series, this time following Arthur. I found it a little bit different from the first book; it felt like an adventure story, as well as a dark fantasy. I found there was something about the author's use of imagery and onomatopoeia that struck me as eerie and chilling. I was drawn in by it, and at first, I couldn't quite put my finger on what unsettled me, but it was engaging and I read it in one sitting.

Although this is the second book in the series, it's actually a prequel to the first book, Never Yours, so maybe some readers would prefer to read this one first.
