One fine day, you come across the frog of your dreams. Soft spoken and ever courteous, you've never met a creature quite so charming. But tread carefully, for this frog has quite a secret to share! Approximately 40 pages in all. Originally this picture book was intended for children 3 to 6, but as I wrote it, I realized that it's really meant for all children AND their parents. (Read it together. You'll get a big laugh at the end!) Descriptions of my other popular children's books are included after the main feature (an additional 5 pages).
This is a great children's book for ages 2-8ish. (That's how old my for grandkids are that love this book.) I loved it and tried some of his other book but they did not come close to being entertaining for my grandkids and for me. I'm one of those picky readers that thinks a kids book should be fun for the reader too not just the kids. Though some of the pages contained more adult lingo once I explained what it was talking about they just wanted to hear it again. ... And again... And you get what I'm saying. But what grandmother doesn't love "agin".
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK!!!!!
I was very much looking forward to reading this book because my husband and I have always said that he is my frog prince. So a cute frog declaring his love and offering flowers? How could I resist? That's a book I have to read. Then I started the book and very early on saw the frog wearing a crown... definitely heading in the right direction here. Then presents, movies, fixing things, taking care of me... yep, this is definitely my husband. When the frog turns into a lion at the end... well, I guess, occasionally my husband can be a lion... but not very often and it never lasts for long. 99% of the time he is my sweet and perfect froggy prince. And who can ask for more than that? That's why I totally loved this book!
This book is so cute. It is about a frog who is trying to get a kiss. When he finally does he changes. But it is really not like he wants. The colors are bright and vibrant. The pictures are clear and the writing is very artistic. This would be a great night read for any child or even a great first reader. I enjoyed reading it. If I could've given it +10 I would've. I highly recommend it for all. Scott Gordon again does a fantastic joy with a children's book.
What a fun and lovely twist to an old fairytale! I laughed as I read it to my daughter who also was laughing as well. We argued over who's Prince ... hers or mine!
I gave this book a five star rating because of the layout and the creativity of the wording along with the colorful pictures that captivate the young ones eye's
I definitely recommend this book for children up to the ages of 6 maybe 7 to read by their self. Happy reading!
This little book was fantastic...my 8 year old daughter was laughing all the way through it. She even kissed the frog. Even I was cracking up. The ending had us roaring out loud. We both enjoyed it. She will definitely recommend this book to her twin sister.
